Since I'm new to the area, I wanted to try a local nail place. Called made an appt for 1230pm showed up at 12:20 and was seen right away. Agnes serviced my mani and pedi and I have no complaints. She did a really good job. I had asked for a design and man who I believe maybe the owner stated it wasn't a good idea because it wouldn't last long and its to much polish on a nail and will chip. I liked the honesty. I just did a glitter nail instead. He said for gel mani's he could do whatever kind of design. I will be returning back to this place. Do not come here!! After many failed chances of giving this salon the benefit of doubt, I am taking my business elsewhere and would advise you to steer clear. The staff here are incredibly rude and they practically rush you out the door before you can even sit down. It's extremely obvious that they are talking about you to their colleagues, not only in their tone but body language (eye rolls and shoving my hands around). It's extremely unprofessional and the behavior is disgusting. In the many times I have been here I have not had a pleasant experience and each encounter with a staff member has been worse than the previous. Today they apparently were closing early due to the holiday, however there are NO signs posted on the exterior or interior of the building so how are your customers supposed to know? It was no wonder they were being more aggressive and rude than usual (the male worker in particular.) Had they told me they were closing I would have easily came back the next day but instead they didn't mention it and proceeded to obviously moan and roll their eyes and behave very unprofessionally. Their answer to myself and another customer asking why they didn't just tell us at the door they were closed even though there are no indicating signs, was "we close early every holiday, everyone knows that". I didn't know we were supposed to be mind readers. Avoid this place and it's zero customer service. There was a little red glitter Inside one nail which broke off a few days later after the manicure on top of another nail having a piece of the brush in the nail. So I've only been here once while I was visiting my parents in NY. I made an appointment for a Friday afternoon, and my dad and I walked right in and were seen right away. I got a gel manicure, my dad got a mani/pedi (which he gets here often, and enjoys). They did a really good job at taking off my previous gel, often salons are very rough with filing or even using the buffer to take the old gel off. But they were very delicate and patient which was great. They had a lot of gel colors to choose from, and did a good job putting it on. They give you a "massage" while your hands are drying, which was more like a short back rub. The only reason for docking the stars is that my mani started to chip in a little less than 2 weeks. Lovely pedicure and gel manicure- however please, employees, stop shouting loudly at one another the ENTIRE time I'm getting my mani/pedi...between that and the lady having a lengthy personal conversation for well over half an hour on her cell combined with the shouting (loudly talking?!) employees made for a very stressful "relaxing" experience. It's not like it's dirt cheap here and I can say, oh well it's not like I'm paying for a spa! However when your prices are on par with a spa, I'd at least like the opportunity to relax a bit while having my services! I'm certainly not suggesting the employees don't speak. I have to agree with the other negative reviews here, QQ has gone downhill. I was a QQ patron for years and loved Yuki who was gentle and did great work. After she left I switched to Jason who does nice nail designs but is rough and too quick when removing old gel. As a result my nails are now damaged, paper thin and spotty - something that never happened before. He also disappeared for long periods of time in the middle of my manicure with no explanation. They don't use liners for pedicures and tubs/instruments look dirty. On my last (and final) visit they charged me $3.00 MORE for "buffing" my bare toenails during a so-called spa pedicure which takes much less time and product than applying polish. This ripoff was particularly offensive to a good customer who always left big tips and showed up on time. Apparently loyalty doesn't matter to QQ, on a busy day they took walk-ins and left me waiting. Employees shout and laugh loudly with each other, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Well, I ONLY visited this nail salon because my usual pedicure salon (yes, I get mani /pedi done at 2 different places) is closed on Sundays and it was a Sunday (duh). It was very cold, I was feeling "lethargic " to say the least so I spent a good hr or so on yelp in search of a place worthy of my energy. I pulled into the parking lot and got a great spot, walked in and place looked super clean with many nail polish options. So far it was looking GREAT. I was wearing sweatpants, and my son's youth football team's tee with my hair in a bun (not the sexiest look). I was greeted in a weird way "how can I help you" with a side of "stink eye ". I then replied "I'd like a pedicure and a gel fill-in" with a smile. As I picked out my polish, 2 young ladies walked in and they were immediately seated to get their nails done. I thought "hmmmmmmmm" but didn't make a big deal. Immediately following 2 young ladies and a gentleman came in, they sat down and were also asked what services they were having, all pedicures. Maybe 2 minutes went by and they were seated. I then asked "excuse me, how is it that 5 people are seated and 2 already began receiving their services before me? Please fill me in as I must have missed the memo " He then stated "they have appointments ". I said "OHHHH REALLY???? All of these people huh?? Because no one mentioned an appointment upon walking in!" Clearly, I pissed him off and he yelled "of course you go next before them. I was going to seat you". Now I know like you know he was lying. The entire time I was getting my pedicure, they were more than likely gossiping about me in their native tongue (Asian language unknown), the girl was as sweet as could be but had no clue what she was doing, cut her finger and attempted to finish my pedicure with her.bloody hand. Oh noooooooo! Stop right there. Never again. I paid and walked right out So, if you plan on visiting QQ, please be sure to.have your.hair and makeup done as well as dress up like you're going to dinner and a movie. started coming back here after a few years of using another place, nothing has changed. the man is extremely rude, he is constantly rolling his eyes and if you watch him do the little free massage that comes with your service, he always looks so over it. how NOT relaxing. this is my 3rd gel manicure with them, the 1st was a silver glitter that literally peeled off my thumb the next day so i went back to fix. the 2nd was a neon green gel that got cracks in it after a week, whatever. this 3rd was a light blue that chipped after i left so i went back for a fix and was told "YOUR NAILS ALWAYS CHIP MAYBE TRY SOMETHING ELSE", they peeled once, and this is the 1st time they chipped. i got the chips fixed the next day, 3 days later they are all chipping and 2 peeled. they use perfect match gel polish which ive never had an issue with before but it may he the top coat or the primer. this is absolute ridiculous. i wonder if it may have to do with the extremely rough scraping of the gel polish during removal, which is making my nails extremely thin. also after my nail was chipped within 24 hours and i went to get it fixed, they took numerous people in front of me as i sat waiting, including a walk in. UPDATE: THE NAIL SHE FIXED THAT I HAD TO GO BACK TO HAVE FIXED THE NEXT DAY, CRACKED AGAIN IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT AND THE ENTIRE MIDDLE HAS A CIRCLE OF POLISH MISSING. MY NAILS ARE PAPER THIN WHICH LITERALLY FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE. also, FOR PEDICURES THEY DO NOT USE LINERS AND WILL PUT YOUR FEET ON THE BARE FOOTREST. NOT SANITARY. find ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO. read more

They took us right away but rushed us to choose colors and they seemed very impatient when I explained we wanted to do designs. They did end up doing a good job with all of our nails, all the girls were happy with their gel manicures and pedicures but I didn't like their attitude. I'm in shock about the bad reviews on here. This is by far the best nail salon in Long Island. I been going here for two years and never been disappointed. I am extremely picky with my nails and they know that and couldn't be more accommodating. Vicki knows all her customers names and knows exactly what colors you like, the color you got last time ect. This salon is amazing for the most part. The people are always so nice, the manicure services are great. I've never tried the facials or waxing here so I wouldn't know about those. The place smells nice but is not always clean. My only issue is that sometimes when I go for pedicures, the workers use some of the same tools they used on the client before me... without washing them. I've seen this a few times yet they seem very sanitary with the manicure process. If you do go here, I would say keep an eye out to make sure they sanitize the tools in between. The pedicures started to suck and the staff was so rude they would talk about you in chinese while you were sitting right there. There really needs to be a zero star option made for places such as this one. Heard about this place from a few friends in the area so decided to check it our. Went in for a regular mani and pedi that I do every week at another salon. After getting my pedi done I look down at my toes and my big toe is beyond crooked! Kindly asked the girl who did my pedi to fix the toe and she told me that its my toes and not her work. I then asked the main salon employee to fix it so she took off the polish from the toe and said if I want the toe to be straight she'll have to make me bleed. Was I hearing this right? Did someone who calls themselves a nail technician really just say this to me? I get a pedicure every week and my toenail is never crooked! Was she really trying to insult me and tell me that my toe is the reason SHE doesn't know how to file it straight across? Anyhow, all in all, stay far FAR away from this NASTY place. i came to QQ right when they opened, very sweet staff who knew what they were doing and the prices were great!! further into the year, service went down and prices raised (understandable) but, i came here for my brothers graduation with my mother, we made an appointment because we wanted go get out on time. we went in and said we had appointment (we were even early!!) waited almost an HOUR to be seated. now, it was not as crowded as usual on a friday, yet they rushed throughout both of our mani & pedi. we both decided to get gel nails, i went to get my mani and once i was done sat at the pedi chair, as i sat there they started my mothers pedi. while someone was doing her pedi which is supposed to be a relaxing experience, one of the staff members rushes over with acetone and immediately starts rubbing nail polish off, then cuts cuticles, files her nails, etc. we were so rushed out of there, they didnt even do the gel because it was "too busy" and refused, but both the mani and pedi look absolutely awful and my mani chipped the exact same day. the whole staff was extremely rude, especially the man at the front. so disappointed and disgusted w this place, felt judged the minute we walked in but didnt have time to go any where else. dont go here for high prices & awful service. read more
