Nearby lots of Shopping Montebello shopping center, costco and many Alhambra shopping places. Issues are very diligently addressed all the time. I lived there almost 18 months. I would give high rating mainly due to the Manager (Ernest Haley) and his support person (Joey Catalano) of the property, both are very kind and reachable all the time (I mean literally after office hours also). I highly recommend this apartment to anyone seeking to lease a new home. As long as these guys are there you can live there happily with out any worries. Both are warm, giving building management a human face. I would love to see him train others in this profession and can envision him working for a huge real estate investment company, supervising many employees.

It's a quaint corner plaza almost like a hidden gem. We came here to eat at All That Shabu... you must try this fantastic AYCE individual hotpot! Tons of different meats and veggies. Everyone should be present before starting... only 90 mins dining limit. Anyway, this plaza also has Burlington, Sprouts, Five Below plus casual restaurants for pizza, burgers & more. Free outdoor and covered parking are available. And I saw luxury apartments within the same lot. Nowadays that's the going theme... good compact living space with conveniently located shopping, dining, and entertainment within walking distance. That's my kind of place one day! Whether their related to each other or not, you hear the kids enjoying themselves and having the time of their childhood. They're also very respectful because towards the evening, they start quieting down and going home. In terms of your neighbours, they're very cordial. They're very peaceful and very nice. For example, if your package happens to get delivered to their door; they either put it back in the mailbox or delivery it to your own door. In terms of amenities, this is a great area. You are literally right off the 10 freeway. There is a gasoline station right across the apartment complex. Groceries, shopping malls, etc; they're literally 5-10 minutes away. I left the unit super clean w professional cleaner and now is waiting time for them to come back w my deposit. It's honestly refreshing to have maintenance actually answer emergency calls! Management is also very prompt and respectful of residents' privacy, even around shared spaces like the grill areas, pool and gym. The pool is always nice and clean, and the neighborhood itself is quiet and calm. Unfortunately, we are near an area where there's occasionally a lot of loitering and suspicious activity, so I definitely recommend not leaving personal belongings in your car or outside. My kids' bike was recently stolen because I left it out overnight. There is security walking around 24/7, but being in LA, thieves move fast.. so just stay vigilant like you would anywhere else in the city. Aside from that, my kids, my Betsy , and I are truly loving it here!

I think things have definitely improved since…read moreI first started living here & I'll list the pros and cons below: Pros: - Pet friendly - Cheaper rent for a 2bedroom compared to others in the area - Spacious units - 1 parking spot in the garage & street parking (yes, sometimes the nearby streets get filled out, but I've never had an issue parking further away & walking) - Friendly staff members - Fast & friendly maintenance crew (seriously, they're so responsive to maintenance requests) and even the gardening crew here are so friendly!! - Pool & (small) gym - Leasing office does fun events sometimes for holidays - Security guard -They give you a Ring camera (you need to pay for membership) Cons: - Only one window AC unit (newer units seem to have 2, so I'm sure this won't be a problem moving forward), so we had to buy a couple of portable AC's to be cool in the summer - Doesn't come with fridge (but this is normal in the LA area) - Bathroom is reaaaally small (think airport small lol), but that's prob how they get more space in the apartment overall - Not a lot of laundry machines/rooms and a lot of times there'll be machines broken - They added a door to the front of the buildings that locks and it's a hassle for package deliveries because the drivers don't know to go around the back and sometimes packages will just be left out front and get stolen if not retrieved in a timely manner When I first started living here, there was a big problem with homeless people hanging around and even coming to our door. But ever since they hired security, it hasn't been a problem for the last two years. They even added locks to the dumpsters to prevent dumpster diving and from having people stay in there overnight. Overall, not a shabby place to live, especially as a first apartment!

We found no leaking water so far. It was dark and I held my flashlight to help out and desired to see better for my learning. It is nice if LA Hydrojet or any plumbing company has a lantern for all plumbers. Maybe plumbers are so familiar with what they do and they go by touching and do not need to see well??? Just a thought. The people who work in the office are always extremely friendly and helpful. The building has its own cleaning and maintenance crews. Everyone does a wonderful job!! The building is in a lovely neighborhood in South Pasadena. I can walk to the library, the senior center, Trader Joe's, and numerous restaurants and coffee shops. I really don't need to drive anywhere. The other residents who live here are also very nice and friendly. I have made friends here. My grandchildren love coming here and playing at my apartment. I highly recommend Golden Oaks Apartments! It is wonderful in every way!!!
