I called my hotel to ask about which L train to take to get there. I was told Orange from Midway then transfer at Roosevelt and take Red to Grand. We transferred to supposedly Red train, I asked. This was a Blue train. I luckily grabbed a map and noticed the announced stops were wrong. Panic mode set in. Luckily the girl next to me said oh, Red line is being repaired and they are rerouting things. We got off on Armitage and agent working was like there's a shuttle but unsure when it comes. Uggg! We just ubered to hotel. This left a terrible impression and we took Uber everywhere after that. Plus someone left their McDonald's bag and there was fries on the seat. Also the train reeked of pot. It was dripping wet from chipotle mayo and guacamole. The fries were okay. I can't recommend this place anymore. I stopped by the bar during a layover after seeing their specialty Bloody Mary menu and wanting to treat myself to a special drink. I ordered one of the featured Bloody Marys from the menu (the Hot Honey Bloody Mary), which was supposed to have specialty olives, a specialty rim, and hot honey. After paying $30 including tax and tip, I received a very plain looking Bloody Mary. I asked the bartender about the pineapple chili rim as my drink had no rim salt at all. I was informed that "they didn't have any, and he could give me a piece of bacon instead, and that they always run out of the specialty ingredients." All of this I was told AFTER paying for and receiving my drink. Then I noticed the drink did not have any specialty olives either, and that the bartender had just poured some hot honey from the kitchen into the drink. $30 for a basic bloody mary is absolutely insane, and the fact that at no point was I told they were missing major components of the drink when ordering is shady AF.
