Reviews on the food are accurate. I got fish and chips. The seating is just sit anywhere, it would be nice if there was a little more space. Server was friendly, mentioned the wait on food was 25 minutes. It showed up in about 8 minutes Some fries were cold. The size of the cod pieces are generous, but not cooked enough. One was extremely water, the other piece had bites that didn't seperate from the piece, sort of like a steak instead of fish. Drinks are served in plastic cups, takes away a bit from the experience. I don't have high expectations at airport restaurants but I've got to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. Kayley waited on us and I didn't feel like I was in an airport. She was so sweet, not rushing us, just very pleasant and friendly. Monday, I was traveling with my sister at Midway airport. We needed to have lunch knowing we would miss dinner. We went across at first to Gene's bistro. We walked out for two reasons the host that took us to our table had a mouthful of food and mumbled. We couldn't understand him and I asked how his day was and he said OK. We hadn't yet got totally seated. It was apparent we were still taking off our jackets and you could see we each had a menu in front of us as well as a cocktail menu that have not been moved. I tried to find a phone number to complained about what happened yet and also a phone number to complement a young woman at Riley's daughter. I couldn't find phone number so let me go on. The waitress came up to us seeing we weren't ready and said basically what do you want? I said we haven't even looked at the menu and I smiled and asked how her day was. She looked at me and walked away and I said to my sister I'm not staying here. I can't imagine giving her a tip or that will get good service. It seems like she hates us so we left. We went across the way to Riley's daughter. A young woman at the bar could not have been nicer. Her name was Reagan. I was uncomfortable with my back on the small barstool with no back on it and asked if we could sit over there where the chairs had a back and she said oh yes. She made everything about the bad TSA Clear not working for my sister and having to stand in line 30 or 40 minutes and me having a bad TSA guy in pre-check he was just mean and awful There was a sympathetic and empathetic girl named Liz with clear who wondered what was taking so long 20 minutes, trying to get my sisters to work I've probably bored anyone who got this for reading this. The bottom line is one person can make all the difference and I wanted to tell Reagan's manager how she was that person but I can't find a phone number so I thought I'd leave a review. Came here while waiting for my flight. Service was quick and ambiance is very reminiscent of an Irish pub. The food took me by surprise, I ordered the limited-time Honey Garlic Sriracha Chicken Sandwich and it did not disappoint. The potato chips it came with were made in house and you can tell by the crispness and the flavor. The chicken was nicely cooked, though not too crispy, still great flavor with the sriracha slaw. Terrible service! Food was what is expected at the airport. Our table was off to the side where the bartender could see us but she didn't acknowledge us. The servicer was very busy. Took him over 20 minutes to get to our table, just to drop menus, pick up the dirty glass and leave. He didn't clean the table. He returned 10 minutes later to take our drink and food order. Drinks arrived 7 minutes without the wine, which he said he was waiting for the bartender to pour. That is laughable as wine was being served at the bar at a rapid pace all evening. Food arrived with the wrong side, but we ate it, paid the bill and headed to our gate. I'm a pretty patient in restaurants, I've been a server, but this topped the worst experience. I had a pretty long early morning layover on the way to Dallas, so I thought I'd have breakfast in a relaxing sit-down restaurant instead of the hustle and bustle of the food court options. Reilly's Daughter Irish Pub made my decision an easy one. Yes, it's a Pub with pub friendly choices like fish & chips, the classic Rueben, Corned Beef, and a traditional Irish breakfast on the menu. I went for their reasonably priced Breakfast Wrap of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheddar, and jalapenos served with a side of salsa for just $6.99. It was a solid choice and I really enjoyed the bacony-cheesy-carby potato goodness of the wrap. By the way, the salsa was darned good too. Coffee is served in a 16-ounce cup for a pricey $3.29. One interesting tidbit abut the coffee -the cream is served in one of those little plastic containers that I first thought was sour cream for my breakfast wrap! The plate for my wrap was recycled cardboard and my utensils were plastic, so everything went into the trashcan or was again recycled when I was done. Nothing had to go to the back of the house to the dishwasher. My server, Katie, was pleasant and efficient and did a nice job working the dining room for the breakfast rush. Huge layover in Midway enroute to Reno so a guy stops in a bar. Sort of. Reilly's Daughter does sound like a place for me. In fact, I once dated Bill Reilly's daughter, Katie. No relation to this place, just ironic. But I digress..... A cute little place that's decently decorated and has a friendly staff. Well, they could be friendlier. A nice concept that falls short in reality. Prices are outrageous. You're in an airport. They win. Drinks are on the weak side. Inexcusable. Two things I'd change if Reilly's Daughter was my daughter, add a few draft beers and stop putting ice in the Guinness. It wasn't served soooo cold that ice formed. Somebody put cubes of frozen water in my stout. Wrong on so many levels. We should be back through here in January, 2022. We will definitely stop back in. Never did I think I would be reviewing an airport restaurant this well but damn! Reilly's is great. The waitress (Ms. Riley) was so charming. It was a delight to be served by her! Very nice and brings a warming presence. Just the thing you need in an Irish pub. Best part of all there's an Irish pub in the airport! Gotta love it. The Reuben sandwich was incredible. So moist and full of flavor. I had a craft bud light with it, but heard people saying the cocktails were poured strong (nice!).
