Disappointed. Not in the accommodations, per se. *I note that the manager of the hotel called and explained to me that there is no concern about the room flooding/being rained upon/in. I was grateful. As a result - my concerns/questions were answered and therefore, I add this paragraph as further comment/review - and to confirm that I am satisfied with the explanation received and the plan for moving forward at the hotel.* Please continue reading the review with the above in mind. 3rd update to this review - the hotel advertised online a business center which does not exist. Hopefully this will be updated for those travelers that book this hotel assuming that advertised services will be made available. At the time of this posting - with personal experience - I can affirm that the property DOES NOT have a business center - even though such amenity is advertised online. The breakfast is wonderful and the customer service at breakfast is very good, The disappointment is that when I checked in - the agent did not communicate until AFTER. Payment and AFTER escorting me in the elevator to the top floor that a (apparently significant) roof leak exists. The agent told me that "if it rains - and my room floods, please let the front desk know and they will attempt to move me to a new room or sister hotel." This is my 4th stay at the property. It would seem to me that a "regular" (or any customer) would be due the courtesy to know ahead of payment/checking that this issue is ongoing and may affect the stay in the event of rain. If it rains - and I am at work/away - will my personal belonging be ruined/damaged/affected? I mean no ill regard to the agent at the front desk. My question is that if management knows this is an issue - why rent the room in the first place? Does the (potential/possibility) of the inconvenience and/or interruption come with a discount even? I didn't ask for one - I'm just posing aloud - under what circumstances should one inquire with management about this situation and what is reasonable for guests to expect in this situation? The hotel itself is great. Former NASA offices. I had my doubts but they did it really nice. With some cute touches like furniture that is fashioned like it's from the 1960's. The elevator is larger than any hotel elevator I've ever seen and the rooms are very spacious without feeling empty. The bed is comfortable. The room felt so clean that when I normally wipe all the surfaces with a disinfectant wipe, I didn't feel the need here. There are electrical outlets for not only normal two prongs, but also many USB and even a couple universal outlets on the desk lamp for those international travelers. read more

The vibes given off are creepy. Although things seemed clean at a glance there are 3 issues. Stains on the couches in both rooms (bed seemed fine). Trash in the trash can that I didn't put there. One of the towels was askew. I left as soon as possible and would not book again even though staff (2 front desk and 2 shuttle drivers) were all nice and friendly. Because staff were friendly rating is a 2 instead of 1. I was just not comfortable. read more

Stayed at this modern, re-purposed hotel during my visit to Cleveland. The rooms were large and comfortable and there was plenty of bedding and towels for us to use. The room was missing bar soap or hand soap so we had to use shower gel to wash our hands - weird. Everything was relatively clean and new. Staff was efficient and friendly. The AM breakfast was just okay. They had breakfast potatoes but not ketchup. The also played Fox News on full volume during breakfast. read more

Just stayed one night, the shuttle service from the airport was great. All the staff were very friendly. The room was pretty cool, very spacious and neat, loved the modern design, bed was comfortable. If I stay there again, I'll bring my own K-cups! Loved the fact that the building used to be a NASA building. read more

This place was so weird. Pros: - very close to the airport - we dropped our rental car the night before our flight and the hotel shuttle picked us up from the car rental place and then took us to the airport early the next morning Cons: - by far the biggest issue was the air conditioner, which was extremely loud when turning on and off (it made a clicking noise). This happened about every 15 minutes all night and was very disruptive to our sleep. - everything in the hotel felt really cheap, especially the beds - there is very little lighting in the room - the bathroom door didn't have a lock (we were there with our 3 kids) - we could tell this building was previously used for something else so we looked it up and this was a NASA office building. Upon arriving I quickly realized that this hotel used to be something else. I mean it's cool when you look it up to see what it used to be. They tried hard with the decor to make it seem like a fun and hip place. There is just something eery about this place though. Something that makes it uninviting once you get passed the front desk area. The room was nice but the bed was not the comfiest. The breakfast was okay and had your basics. One complaint I had was that every time the AC turned on it made this awful clicking noise followed by some other unidentifiable sound. The sound woke me up a lot during the night. The shower gave me a lot of issues as well. The drain wasn't collecting the running water fast enough so a lot of the water ended up on the floor. After showering the toilet and the shower took turns gurgling at each other so that led me to believe the plumbing isn't up to par. Would I stay there again? Yeah probably because the price per night wasn't bad and it does offer free parking, free wifi, free breakfast, and it's close to the airport. read more

Carmen and Nicole were so amazing! They delivered excellent customer service going above and beyond. Unfortunately Cindy ruined this experience. She was extremely rude and disrespectful and mean. She should not be in the customer service industry. She was controlling, aggressive and demanding. I recommend you book another hotel. The rooms are on the smaller side and we had an ant invasion in our room when we checked in. read more

This wonderfully peaceful property has just materialized recently and is super clean and beds extremely comfortable. The amazing Ed made us feel welcome from check in onwards for the duration of our stay. Happy to return to this hotel after they have set up the bar areas as I'm sure it is something that we will as a group never leave. The gym is all new equipment and always open for us early cardio risers. Thank you Orbit Hotel, you made us feel at home. read more

The hotel has a retro "Jetsons" vibe, which fits the NASA location and history. It is so conveniently located near the Cleveland airport, which was just perfect for my 2-night stay to attend a family funeral. The staff were friendly, the facilities and room clean, and the breakfast nicely done. I have absolutely no complaints about the quiet and comfortable room, which had blackout blinds and no airport noise. My only recommendation to other guests would be to bring slippers or flip flops because there is no carpet in the room or hallways. If a quick visit to the Cleveland area is in my future, this would again be a really good choice. read more

This place is strange. I understand the concept they are going for since its the old NASA research building, but it is very cold and uninviting. Its just gray, concrete everything with tacky modern modern furniture in random rooms with no TV's and corners. It felt and smelled like some sort of medical building. The walls are insanely thin. You could hear every door open and close and people talking. The fan/AC in our room also had a constant rattle and loud noise everytime it turned on/off. So all of the noise on top of the airplanes, not a good combination. Beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable also. We left too early for breakfast, so I can't speak to that. The best thing about this hotel is the convenience of the location to the airport, but other than that, I can't say I would recommend staying here. read more

The girl that worked Nov 10th 2023 at 3pm check in had a personality of a rock not very inviting . The room was spacious and clean but the couch area in room #100 had no light. The complaints about the AC are totally valid: The unit is monstrously loud and clicks even more loudly when it first turns on. That said, this is the engineering building in which the Saturn V rocket was designed, and they have kept that feel in the decor--hence the "clinical" look with the "cheap modern furniture." It is meant to bring you back to the late fifties and early to mid sixties, and it certainly does. Being across the street from the NASA Glenn Research Center, it also hosts a lot of visiting engineers who wander about the halls for the finishing touch on your 1960s Moon-shot geek fest. I LOVE it for all of these things, but it is easy to see how someone younger with no connection to engineering or the space program would find it clinical-looking and just a little weird. IT'S NOT! Orbit Hotel - very new/modern hotel. I didn't care for the bed but whoa - loved watching bad reality tv shows in bed thanks to the mounted TV arm. At first, I found their cleaner to be nausea inducing (it's really fragrant, very much a personal preference). There were some reviews that complained about hearing the planes, I found it odd that was a complaint as that's the pro of this hotel. It's a 5 min drive to the airport. Pro for me as someone who missed my flight the day before. There's continental breakfast included at no additional cost! I did not wake up early to comment on this further... At about 9:30am the housekeeper started knocking on doors - I get the hang up "do not disturb door hanging". I didn't - and usually that's OK since the knocking DOESN'T happen till closer to check out. That was terrible, especially since she knocked and loudly announced housekeeping repeatedly until you responded. I just wanted to yell "try and open the door! It's locked!" Instead, I croaked "sleeping - no thank you" On that note, rooms were spotless. I was on the 3rd floor, I heard no one through the walls but I assume with the newness of the hotel that there weren't many patrons. Now, my beef is the shower floor. Despite how new this hotel is, the floor still had that grey hue of "old yuck" in the shower. Also, there was a couch area that had no lamp or lighting nearby. Not taken into the rating - really just an observation. So - stay here for the convenience of the airport distance, Continental breakfast etc. it's a cute place. I've stayed here twice. It has some appeaL. It can feeL coLd because of the styLe and decor and because there is no carpeting in this hoteL. Turn the heat up/adjust the room temp if you are bothered. If you Like a basic white modern Look, then you'LL understand this. It has the feeL of a schooL or medicaL faciLity. It was cLean both times with some staining on one of the ottomans. The power went out for about an hour the Last time I was there. I wasn't bad, but I think the neighborhood had an outage. I stay here because my friend doesn't mind it. I aLso stay here because I often need to stay near Crocker Park and the parking is more accessibLe than other hoteLs. The breakfast is basic continentaL. Nothing for vegetarians. The coffee was not great for me and they don't have decaf. I drink decaf. So, I'm not excited about this pLace, but it's okay for an experience and it's not fiLthy. So, this review is neutraL because you wiLL either Like, disLike, appreciate, or not appreciate this hoteL. There are big windows , the sun came through which I Like. The water pressure was okay. I put toweLs down and wear sLippers in aLL hoteLs. I aLso disinfect and check the room before I settLe in. PLease everyone, don't treat hoteLs Like trash... that's what causes them to be horrid over time. Let's aLL pLay our part and not be disgusting when we stay in them. read more

Interesting hotel with a unique story. It is located in the former Development Engineering Building at the NASA Glenn Research Center near the Cleveland Airport. Very nice staff. Opened since the Spring of 2022, it is very clean and nicely appointed. But remember, it is a former research building so it looks very industrial and minimalist. Kind of a Jetson's vibe. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay with an interesting backstory, check this place out. read more
