I'm sure you're reading this review because you heard this place has all you can drink mimosas- well you heard right! This is an awesome restaurant with a very cool ambience. Pro tip is if you went to common restaurant prior to visiting, bring your receipt so you can get a 10% discount on your meal at the ordinary pub. To start the group shared the loaded pub fries which were killer! For my main course, I had the chicken and waffle gyro and cheesy grits. Man o man was this meal provided the carbs I needed on the bachelorette trip. They'll also give you a mimosa to go since Savannah has an open container ordinance

Such a great spot if you are wandering around Broughton Street and need to cool off with some drinks and comfort food. It's easy to walk right past since it's actually in the basement of the old Sear's building. They have an extensive bar with festive drinks. Go for one of the Bloody Mary's just so you can ooh and ahh at its toppings. There were 5 of us and we literally all had the same thing! The Brunch Salad with added chicken. We were hoping for grilled by fried chicken tenders was the only option If you are a big party it's probably smart to make reservations.

    Feeling... "ordinary."

St. Paddy's in Savannah saw us at the Ordinary Pub for some brunch action that satisfied my bacon-loving needs. Located on Broughton Street in the heart of downtown Savannah, the Ordinary Pub offers some great gluten-free options and glorious cocktails that are also bacon-themed. Upon walking down the stairs into the cellar-based dining area in the back room across from the trendy l-shaped bar counter, we ordered our drinks and food from our friendly server who made sure what we had from start to finish. For my money, the Notorious B.I.G. Is where cocktails are at. A house-made cold brew cocktail, the bartenders make this glorious beast with bacon-fat-washed bourbon, pecan simple syrup, black walnut bitters, and cream; served with a garnish of bacon. I enjoyed this cocktail so much, I ordered multiple rounds without trying anything else during brunch. My wife tried my drink, decided to switch it up on the next round. For my main course, I had the Chorizo brunch skillet with potato hash, sauteed peppers & onions, Spanish chorizo, turmeric onions, three cheese egg scramble, grilled tomato and avocado creme. The meal filled me to perfection and without making me dive into a food coma.

Keep your eyes open when looking for The Ordinary Pub, we almost walked by it if we weren't paying attention. I like that the restaurant is downstairs like in a basement. It's kind of dark with warm lighting which isn't always my fav when going to a restaurant but the food and service made up for it. The waitress we had was super speedy and efficient. I ordered bottomless mimosas and before I finished a glass she was already there asking if I needed a refill. We placed our order for the Bananas Foster French Toast and the Pork Belly Doughnuts. The pork belly doughnuts were the perfect combination of sweet and salty all in one bite. The pork wasn't overly smoked and those doughnuts melted in your mouth. The French toast was thick but not too heavy but definitely felt homemade. For it being Bananas Foster French toast it didn't come with any bananas or powdered sugar. It wasn't a big deal because the French toast tasted amazing just with their house syrup. If we weren't so full we would've ordered more food, but every plate that the waiters passed by with looked so good and each plate was full. Definitely a spot to try for delicious and unique food combinations.

Stopped into TOP while in town for work... Wanted to check it out as it's the #1 rated north historic district restaurant on Yelp. While TOP was good, it wasn't nearly as good as Repeal 33. The food was respectable but not exceptional (the crab cakes were more breading than crab, and I couldn't get on board with the charred tomato gravy which was more of a slightly spicy tomato sauce) and service wasn't bad. TOP has a really cool vibe... It's located in a basement and has a rustic/old school design and feel. The biggest drawback though was the smell in the restaurant, which was hard not to notice when you walk in... It smelled like a mix between a locker room and Amsterdam brothel, which wasn't appealing. All-in-all, Dave Portnoy 6.9 out of 10.

Cute spot with great food and beverage-pretty far from ordinary! Pork Belly Donut Sliders - winning!

Ordinary indeed. I came here on Tuesday evening for dinner with my family. The service was great, friendly and attentive. We ordered the fried green tomato caprese, which was pretty good. But wish they would have added more balsamic to it and seasoned the batter they fried the tomatoes in. For our mains: my family got the smoked pork sliders, Salmon Felix and Big Salad. My grandma thought the sliders were just okay, my mom liked the salmon Felix, and I had the salad. The salad was mushy, and I wish there would have been a crunch element, because the salad plus the guacamole was a mushy mess. I also got the El&Tea, but didn't like it. It was very bitter and the lavender was mild. Overall, service was good and like the ambiance of the space, but the food wasn't hitting the spot.

This place was amazing. It is down in a basement and has kind of a speak easy vibe to it. Very cute. The food was so good. We got 3 different burgers. I highly recommend all of them. The shot ribs came a part with just a fork and tasted amazing and the donut pork sliders were to die for. Our water was so kind and helpful. I will go back here again and again.

Located in the old shopping district downtown Savannah the pub is a beautiful restaurant. I liked the atmosphere and decor and we where curious to try the Pork Belly donuts sliders since they have such good reviews. Unfortunately the restaurant was out of it as well as out of slaw that was supposed to come with my duck tacos. However the food was still really good. Our waitress was a bit of a trip. She was so loud and all over the place when we placed our order. When we where about finished with our meal she came up to the table saying: Are you finished? And scooped up my hubby's plate even tho he was still eating. Shortly after, we hadn't even finished our drinks she came to the table telling us that it was time to pay. The restaurant was quite empty so there was no reason to rush us out.

Dining with a group of 8 people is always tough and when you throw in a vegetarian into the mix it makes it tougher. We made reservations a few weeks in advance which was a good thing to do. We were sat at our table when we got there and we had Paul as our server. He was very nice and did a great job of handling my friends needs. He always made sure we had drinks and if we were empty he would make sure to check if we needed more. Food: started w the fried green tomato caprese and the loaded French fries. Both were simply delicious. I could have eaten the entire plate of fries. The fried green tomatoes came out hot and the breading was super crispy. For dinner I had the meatloaf. I know it doesn't look great in my photo, but it was amazing. It was also huge. You could easily split this with two people and wouldn't go hungry. If we had any complaints it would be the lack of AC in the restaurant and the booth they put us in. It would have been great for 6 people , but 8 we were a little cramped. I would really recommend and ask for Paul as your waiter. Also If you check in with Yelp you get 10% off your bill excluding alcohol. At least as of July 14th.

3.25 stars. Came for dinner and there was lots of people. Reservations are recommended. Service was attentive and friendly. Loud inside and a good vibe. 1. Chicken sandwich - Good but not the best I've had. Slightly dry. 2. Donut sliders - Good concept. Come with plenty of calories to spare! Overall, good to try once but that was good enough for us.

Mac and Cheese in the Morning Brunch and cold brew cocktail
    Alyssa C.

Came in for brunch. They have amazing spins on classics and bottomless mimosas. We opted for other brunch coco Karika. They have serval that are coffee based including a classic espresso martini. I got a brown sugar cold brew cocktail. It was good but the ice definitely seemed to melt fast but stirring it did help keep it from separating. Our waitress was great and attentive. To made sure to get our drink order in as soon as they were allowed to serve alcohol. The pork belly doughnut sliders was a great sweet and salty combo especially with the sauce served with them. The pork belly had the perfect crispy edge without taste burnt. We loved both entrees and they were both great portions. The skillet was loaded with meet and all the flavors complimented each other well. The brunch mac and cheese was a great savory dish with great flavor and a larger portion. If you are thinking about going here just a reminder that it is downstairs and I didn't see anything that would make it easy or accessible for people with strollers or wheelchairs. Reservations are also great to have with any size group for brunch.

I've been here a few times and I'm giving it an honest 3 stars. The service was great but the food is just a bit lacking. My reviews are based equally on service AND food. Again the service was great but the food itself was mostly just ok. The fish dip (not picture) was served with super thin crackers. It reminded me of Parmesan crisps but less salty. The fish dip itself had a texture of over cooked shredded salmon and not too salty, which I didn't mind. My entree was the fish and greens. The mahi was definitely over cooked. It was very dry. The dressing for the salad underneath saved the dish. To my surprise the beets were amazing! I'm not a fan of beers but these were prepared very well! I give kudos to the feel and ambiance of the place but the food can use some attention. Would I eat here again? Yes, but I would ask for recommendations.

    Is this place kid friendly?

Right now we are closed due to hurricane from last September. If and when we reopen all are welcome, keeping in mind it is a pub that focuses on an adult experience. I hope this helps.

    Monday - Thursday 11am - 3pm Friday - Sunday 10am - 3pm

    Is there fresh squeezed lemonade?

They do use lemonade in their craft cocktails, but I can't swear it's fresh squeezed. But with this restaurant being a "scratch kitchen" I would believe they do.

    I think it’s law.

To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup.
