My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. The next morning, I was called by my bank about a suspicious tip amount that I had recently left (aka the evening before). These cheapskate cheaters and thieves working at the bar had changed my tip amount egregiously. On one single pint, I think I paid $7/$8? And my tip amount was over $30 making my one beer almost $40. If that is what tappers has become, it is no longer that quaint and unique neighborhood dive bar that Chris and Steve had bought back in the early 2010s. The icing on the top was that one of the owners was actually our bar tender that evening. Slimey and shady and when we called to inquire, we were hung up on. Let this place go back to the dogs.
