They were soft on the inside, some had a great cheese pull, and the spicy dipping sauce paired really well with them. I ordered the Flat Iron Frites. The steak was seasoned well, cooked nicely, and didn't have much fat, which I appreciated. The fries were crispy and came with house-made ketchup. I usually don't even like ketchup, but this one was actually really good. My partner ordered the deviled eggs as his appetizer, and he enjoyed them so much he finished them in no time. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée, and it was fantastic. I've never had crème brûlée like that before. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert and ended the meal perfectly. The only small downside was that the complimentary water tasted clean and fresh. But it was warm instead of cold. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a great experience, and I'd happily return. Glad i was able to cross this one off of my list.

They both came with large ice cubes. (No surprise there.) What WAS the surprise was that the bill came with a $1 upcharge for the large cube in the Negroni, BUT NOT THE OLD FASHIONED! We've never seen an upcharge for a large ice cube! Ever! My wife emailed the GM after the fact, and the manager explained that the Old Fashioned is traditionally served with a large ice cube. The server should have asked my wife if she wanted a large ice cube with her Negroni. Hazelwood isn't a particularly cheap outing. They do appear to be nickel-and-diming in this situation.
