She told us the special for the day and there was also a special on the cinnamon toast, crunch pancakes and she told us also about the menu. She was very informative and kind. So we ordered the kids big breakfast and Babè got the eggs breakfast that came with a side of pancakes. Well, we got our pancakes. The pancakes had a distinctive taste that we were taking back by that we necessarily did not like. The bacon was thick cut and cooked to perfection. That was the best part of our breakfast. Babè loved his eggs and he said his coffee was very delicious. He said he will come back for the eggs and coffee for sure. For it to be very busy it was not loud and we were able to get in and out and under an hour and a half on a busy Saturday morning around 9am! This was our first time here, but it won't be our last!! My initial observation was how bright, clean, and well decorated the restaurant is. We opted to sit at the inviting bar so got to see all the efficiency of the staff behind the scenes. They are a well oiled machine and work hard. Dorothy was our waitress and she had some great recommendations and was professional and friendly. The bar area has a freshly squeezed orange machine which was neat to watch in action. The menu is huge and all the pancakes can be made gluten free. I opted for the traditional buttermilk pancakes, and they did not disappoint. All meals are served with pancakes, which is a unique touch. I got the pumpkin iced coffee too. The menu is slightly expensive, but all in all it's worth it!! Very delightful breakfast on a Sunday morning. Wait time was nothing, immediately led to the table. The atmosphere is cozy and family-like, which makes it very pleasant to eat at. Came here on Easter Sunday and it was only about half full, no wait for a table. The food came out very quickly and our coffees were constantly being refilled. Our server Destiny was really friendly and patient with us, even though we had a 2 year old with us! I got the hashbrowns and eggs with a side of bacon. The bacon was thick cut which I love, but it could have been a little crispier. The eggs were cooked to a perfect over medium. The hashbrowns were great but they could've been a little crispier and less greasy/buttery. The buttermilk pancakes were delicious, some of my favorite pancakes ever. I can't believe I never visited this place when I lived in Cbus. I've heard good things about this place, and finally got to check it out as I was looking for a breakfast spot at 7am when I landed. They have quite an extensive menu including both savory and sweet dishes for breakfast/brunch. I got their signature Dutch Delight, which is their unique oven-baked and egg-based soufflé filled with fresh fruits. My friend got the omelette that came with three fluffy pancakes. The gluten free menu is the largest I have ever seen! I love the pumpkin gluten free pancakes. Comes with a sweet pumpkin sauce so I didn't even need syrup. I do hate those hand held payment systems. Stopped in for a late breakfast with my daughter. She ordered sausage and eggs with upgraded pancakes and I ordered the corned beef with potato cakes. Her meal was "fine" (she's a teenager), mine was not. The corned beef was undercooked and tasteless, the eggs that were supposed to be basted were overcooked and the potato cakes were so dry I'm surprised they weren't burnt. New (old) favorite breakfast spot! I used to love going to the Original Pancake House but then I found out that I have a gluten sensitivity. So I no longer could frequent this establishment. However, now, guess who's bzzack!?! Original Pancake house HAS GLUTEN FRIENDLY OPTIONS! Gluten friendly pancakes and waffles! I've had a lot of gluten free buttermilk pancakes and these, by far, are my favorite. They are so light, fluffy, and filling. The buttery flavor and buoyant texture leave you missing nothing from regular pancakes. Original Pancake House has figured this one out! The whole breakfast was delicious. I had the omelet with yellow cheddar and white cheddar cheese and red and green peppers. I also had the hash browns, which were cooked perfectly. I even sent compliments to the chef. The service was phenomenal. Our server was tentative to us, even though we were tucked in the back corner of the restaurant ( best seat in the house in my opinion). She explained the options and even noted which of our plates were gluten free (black ring around the plate). We ordered the Dutch baby, hash browns, and the corned beef hash. We ordered the corned beef hash with the side of potato pancakes and an egg over medium. I'm really particular about my corned beef hash and it's a bit mushy with a lack of flavor. I like strips of corned beef and this is the kind of Corned Beef you scoop out of a can. Ugh...The potato pancakes lacks flavor, also. They were kind of bland. The Dutch Baby; however, was the star of the show. It's an egg-based crepe with fresh squeezed lemon, powdered sugar, and cream cheese. It was delicious! Our server was Kinsley. Kinsley was very nice and attentive. I enjoyed the Dutch Baby. Our server was great, attentive and constantly filling and refilling our coffee and water glasses, and she was knowledgeable about the menu and recent changes they made. There's plenty of parking outside, seating inside, and delicious options to choose from. We got the Irish Eggs Benedict and Corned Beef Hash. Everything was made pretty good, my hash browns and the corn beef were a bit soggy but still tasted okay. The eggs were cooked well but everything could have used a bit of salt. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and thought it was decent. We spent about $40ish total for two people, before tip. Overall, it was an expensive meal and wasn't super unique or super wow for us. When I used the bathroom, only 2 out of the 5 we're open and a huge line.
