Ooooo so good....Steak pepper & onions...
Sam T.

Seaside Heights famous for its "beach, an amusement-oriented boardwalk, and numerous clubs and bars" is also home to one of the most popular reality shows to be filmed "The Jersey Shore"...yeap the one with the crazy out spoken good looking girls Snooki, Sammi "The Sweetheart & JWOWW WOOW lol filmed their weekly shenanigans. But when it comes to food "The Original Steaks" has one of the best cheese steaks sandwiches you will find anywhere... You can get it with Onions & peppers on a California Bread for only $7.50 or the works for $8. It also has these cheese balls that are insanely good. CASH ONLY !!!!! Come make a day full of Beach, amusement park and great food starting with these guys. Then visit The Jersey Shore House just a couple of blocks over.

This is that miserable guy who was so nasty to us. 3 gold teeth so you know him when he opens his mouth and starts being disrespectful!!!

I was leaving with my fam after a nice weekend at sea side planning to enjoy some more steaks in the car on the way home.....screeeeech, not so fast. The guy taking orders was soooooooo rude. I rolled up next to the rest of my family to put in my order, so it could get on the grill and start cooking while we wait to pay. He stared at me and asked me "are you with them? You have to wait". Huh? Well good morning to you to. I decided, ignore that just get the steaks and enjoy the last moments of our vacation. It got worse from there. This guy who would not give us his name was sooo nasty, he ended up refusing to make my brothers cheese steak because my bro didn't want his lettuce and tomato cooked and that's the way he does it so he's not making it. We were all amazed. Then he starts talking to his partner in Spanish and laughing. I said that's not cool, you know we don't speak Spanish and we are customers and you are ridiculing us right in our face. One of our party did speak Spanish and started talking to him. My bro who's sandwich it was started asking him to please make the sandwich. The cook says with his hand up, I am not talking to you, I am talking to the lady. What?!!! I am so disgusted I will never eat there again. You can not get your sandwich with any of your own preferences. If you don't want it the way they always make it, go somewhere else. Disgusting attitude. On principal I can't ever eat there again. I am going to post a pic of the guy since he would give us his name.

I've been going there for more than 20 years and their Sausage, Pepper & Onion sandwich continues to be my boardwalk favorite.

Seaside Tony. Cheesesteaks in Seaside. It will always taste right. It's grease, cheese, and beef with cheeseballs on top. Can't go wrong.

They never cook the meat all the way through here. I don't like the bread either. It's weird.

I'd rather eat a salty, briny rum ham pulled directly from the ocean…read more There was legitimately a moment when I contemplated hurling whatever monstrosity was in my hand into the sand beneath the boardwalk, where perhaps the gulls would find it more palatable. So, you might be thinking to yourself, what could have possibly riled this guy up so much? Well, as you may have guessed by their name, DJ's sells this abomination they refer to as an "Italian hot dog." Now, on paper it sounds delicious: two dogs, sautéed peppers and onions, fried potatoes like Mom used to make before her accident, served up in a nice warm fluffy roll. Except it's not in a roll. It's in a large, dry, bread pocket. A bread pouch, if you will, similar to what they use to make calzones. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it was the bread they use for calzones. Wait, that's not how calzones are made at all. The pouch was entirely too big. Every bite was a tiny bit of hot dog then a mouthful of dough. There were hardly any peppers and onions, and you couldn't really apply condiments since it would just fill up the large cavity the ingredients were sitting in. It would have been a bowl of mush if I'd tried. For $15 absolutely not worth it. OH. It was $15 because I got the "combo," which was to come with a drink and fries. While I was waiting for my food, the lady at the register actually TALKED ME OUT OF getting my fries because "the Italian hot dog comes with potatoes in it." I was like, "Yeah, that makes sense." But then later I thought about it more and damn, I ripped myself off. I am so impressionable it's ridiculous. She just totally jedi-mindtricked me into turning something down that I paid for. The last complaint is a bit superficial, but the Italian hot dog itself just looks so freakin' dumb. If people walk by and point and laugh, just know they aren't laughing at you. They're laughing at the culinary atrocity in your hands.

Wifey and I stopped in here for lunch on a hot day in April. We sat at the bar and had a great chat…read morewith the bartender...who was new that day and being trained. We kept it simple for her and ordered a beer and one of their drink specials. We also shared a fried seafood basket with Old Bay fries. The basket was delicious- shrimp were fairly large, the fish was done perfectly, and the fries were well done like we requested. (There was something else in the basket but I don't remember what it was, maybe calamari). You're gonna pay boardwalk prices, but Jimbo's is a great place for a beer and some lunch.

Looking for a new go-to in seaside on the boardwalk. The bartenders were great (Sofia and Charlie,…read moreI think, I'm horrible with names) beer was cold very cold, the draughts were poured perfectly, just enough foam so you could drink more without the "bloat" Sofia worked hard, restocking, but still had time to chat a minute and be engaged. The wings were legit, crispy not overcooked, a few more sauce options would be good and maybe let them drain another minute. The street corn was barely warm, but tasty. The cheesesteak was good, but again, maybe let the oil and grease drain another minute. The manager kind of ruined things, hearing her talk down to the staff within earshot of the customers. I'll return and hopefully it gets better. Overall a good start and the staff makes up for the deficiencies elsewhere.
