Wifey and I stopped in here for lunch on a hot day in April. We sat at the bar and had a great chat with the bartender...who was new that day and being trained. We kept it simple for her and ordered a beer and one of their drink specials. We also shared a fried seafood basket with Old Bay fries. The basket was delicious- shrimp were fairly large, the fish was done perfectly, and the fries were well done like we requested. (There was something else in the basket but I don't remember what it was, maybe calamari). You're gonna pay boardwalk prices, but Jimbo's is a great place for a beer and some lunch. read more

Good Enough We visited this restaurant in mid-September 2025. It is located on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk. We sat on the back deck, at a "rocking table," which was fun (although be careful you knock your drinks on yourself!). Service was pleasant and efficient. The food was OK - the nachos were basically some chips and dip, certainly nothing fancy. The portions of the entrees (such as quesadillas and tacos) were good and filling. The drinks were great - we especially loved the "buckets!" I'd rate this restaurant a 3.5...but since there are no "half-stars" and since it's on the Boardwalk (where pizza is considered a food group), I'll bump it up to 4. But that's a "4" on the Boardwalk - anywhere else, it's maybe a 3. Overall: If you're looking for a decent, family-friendly place to sit down and eat on the Boardwalk, this is a good choice. I went on a vacation to the Jersey shore and had to stop at Jimbo's for a drink. I got a draft beer and a mixed drink with a shark in it. It was so adorable. The drink wasn't weak, but not overly strong where it was unbearable .I am biased to any restaurant/bar on a boardwalk so I rate the experience 10 out of 10. I sat at the bar. Everything was really cute. There were three separate areas where you could get different food .I don't remember our bartender's name, but she was extremely nice. I made my annual stop at Jimbo's while in the area and had another great experience. My friend and I arrived around opening time, but were told they wouldn't be opening for a while longer due to the bartender not being on site yet. It wasn't a big deal, so we came back later in the day and were able to grab a spot at the bar. We ended up spending several hours there, chatting with the bartender who took excellent care of us. The mixed drinks were spot on, and we had fun enjoying a karaoke event. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, especially my gluten-free pizza, which was awesome. 1 STAR Jumbo's - Seaside Heights, NJ If I could give zero stars, I would. The service at Jumbo's was absolutely terrible. From the moment we sat down, our waiter didn't even greet us -- no "hello," no smile, nothing. Just a rude "what you getting?" like we were a burden for showing up. Then it got worse. There was a hair in my food. When I pointed it out and told him I wasn't paying for it, he gave me an attitude and basically tried to argue with me about it. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he refused to get the manager and acted like I was the problem. Yes, they took the shrimp off the bill, but he had the nerve to say, "That was your last shrimp," as if I should've been grateful. Then, to top it off, he expected us to tip him $10 after all that. Horrible service. Disrespectful staff. Do better, Jumbo's. Plenty of places on the boardwalk treat their customers with basic respect -- this is not one of them. This place honestly deserves to not even be on the boardwalk come next year and honestly should be shut down. Took my girlfriend here after the beach for what I was hoping to be a very nice enjoyable lunch on Memorial Day however it was the total opposite. I don't know what the waiters name was but he deserves to be fired to. I do not recommend going here just awful service. Go to spicys they are way better and much nicer. SEASIDE HEIGHTS: we love meeting people while out and about with Brie and we were lucky enough to run into Dana, the bar manager at Jimbo's Bar and Grill who told us about their dog friendliness. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed at multiple spots at Jimbo's, including their back outdoor patio, side patio that is covered by the roof, front patio, and when it's not too crowded and at manager's discretion, at the indoor seating. They have a huge casual menu with comfort foods and a full bar with great cocktails. This is a great place to watch the game with multiple TVs, enjoy the ocean breeze, meet new friends, and see a live band. Even The Incredible Spanky hangs out here! This place was just ok for me. We originally picked it because it was not playing any live music at the time. Don't get me wrong I love live music, but sometimes I just need a break. The moment we ordered they started blasting!! the tvs. There was a game on so I get it, but I was just so disappointed. Went to this place many times during a five night stay at the shore. Absolutely loved it. The service is great and the food is the best bang for your buck on the boardwalk. Lots of standard bar food options, as well as a full sushi menu and lots of specialty cocktails. Whether you're in the mood for just a hot dog and a coke or coconut shrimp and a piña colada, they've got you covered. Service was somehow even better during extremely busy times. Literally no wait for a table and just a few minutes for drinks and food even on a busy Saturday. They're on top of everything but they're never rushing you to finish your meal. Only downside was the bathrooms could be a little cleaner, but for a super busy place on the boardwalk it could be a lot worse. The decor is super fun too. read more

This review is solely based on the interaction we had with,someone in a management position. I was going to reach out to owner but I was informed that she is the owner (not sure if this is factual). We had a gift card that wasn't working. Not a huge deal but we told her that we won the gift card at a recent event that is held annually to raise money to feed military families. She happened to know the person who runs this amazing event and who is a friend of ours. She proceeded to speak poorly of him, and make accusations about where the gift card may have come from. Great food tried three or four different dishes over the last week. Just moved to the area but definitely will be my go to place for sports.

Egh. I know I was on a boardwalk so I have to temper expectations but this one was not good. The highlight was the portion size of the pizza (although super greasy) but that was about it. The price for the quality and portions is probably what bothered me most. $9 for a basic Caesar no protein. $14 bucks for three frozen tenders reheated hand full of fries. $8 for truffle fries that had hardly any oil and slices of cheese on it as if it was a pasta dish. Four things for almost $60!! I still don't comprehend it!! They have young wait staff which was frustrating that couldn't split bill or substitute fries on a dish. Just. Awful. Alright let's get the highlights out of the way first: The service is great, the wings were decent and the water was cold...got that all in? Good. Now for the real stuff. The Bleu cheese they serve with the wings has the consistency of mayo and a jaundice-yellow color to it. The "fries" are tasteless, lack ANY seasoning that isn't dirty oil, and the parnesean on them was spoiled. The pineapple in their Teriyaki Tacos looks an tastes like it went bad in the Summer of '94 (smells terrible, tastes terrible, is transparent in color) and the teriyaki sauce is horrendous. The chips and salsa is tasteless and the the salsa looks and tastes like it was made during Hurricane Sandy. All and all this place has fallen off a cliff and I wouldn't come back. read more

I'll start with what to order and what not to, as this is what I looked for when i first got there... Do get there drink, the mermaid water was great, despite getting two very different versions from two very attentive bartenders. Do get the Fat Jimbo or whatever variant the menu has. Mine was a burger with Taylor ham/ pork roll, cheese, a mozzarella stick, and an onion ring, etc. The accoutrements were decent by themselves and were deconstructed and eaten separately. The onion ring and mozzarella stick were "good"*. The burger was precooked but passable. The fries were decent, salty, but enjoyable. Don't get the lukewarm oysters, served without ice, or mignette, or horseradish, or flavor... and don't get the deep fried pickles that were cold in the center. Definitely don't get the gringo tacos as the chicken tomato and cheese tasted the same, or didn't taste, either way... definitely ask them what to get. They were pretty right, relatively, about the fat beach whatever. The menu and reviews suggest they have several versions of this combo dish, but it was all hot and the mozzarella stick and onion ring were great. They seem to know what's best, so definitely ask. The food comes from several kitchens so they know... Great service, and great vibe commensurate with location. The servers, if you take a moment to connect with them, are awesome and efficient; at least at the bar. Even the food "runners" were genuinely interested... I'm a foodie; but people come first and their people do the best with what they have to work with, which among other things is a spectacular piece of boardwalk with the best people watching. I'd give 3 stars or less if this were anywhere else, but who doesn't feel generous with stars after two mermaid waters????? read more

First off, our server was incredibly friendly but we had to wave her down for anything we wanted including to order. She would walk past us 10 times until we could get her attention. I ordered the salmon poke bowl and my boyfriend asked her for a recommendation and she told him to order the fish and chips so he did. My poke bowl was good -- it had a good amount of sushi grade salmon, avocado, seaweed salad and rice. My boyfriend's meal, however, looked and tasted like frozen fish you'd get at the supermarket. I came here for drinks with my family. It was a fun spot, but definitely touristy. It's not somewhere I would come all the time since it's on the boardwalk but since I was there, this did the trick! Stopped by on a Sunday night and had the best service I have ever had at a seaside bar. The three guys behind the bar checked in on us consistently and answered every question we had; I just wish I remembered their names! We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and it was the best shrimp I have ever had - obviously fresh, not chewy in the slightest, and extremely hot when served.
