We were also in contact with Linda during our move and we appreciated her clear communication and updates she provided us with. Successful move, but watch your back. We conducted a household move from Norfolk, VA to Tampa, FL with about 12k lbs of goods. Overall the move was successful. Pros: -Not much breakage. -Fairly timely. Cons: -The packers (Clarence and his son Antonio) stole at least one bottle of whiskey from my house as they were leaving. This was after I'd fed them lunch, tipped them, and even given them some items I'd planned to donate. -The original estimator told us that their service included picking up packing materials from the destination several days after delivery. When we tried to arrange this they said that it would cost an additional $400. Overall, I would not recommend this moving company if you plan to move anything valuable. ============================================================== Update (3/20/2025): Brian contacted me, listened to my complaint, offered to reimburse me for the stolen bottle, and stated he would address the problem with his packers. To reiterate: Overall this was a successful move -- on time and with little breakage. The theft may have been an anomoly (check other reviews to corroborate). The surprise charge for collection of packing materials was probably an honest miscommunication -- I only call it out so others do not have the same misunderstanding. read more

Do NOT use this Company . They damaged boxes, lost Items, then offer less than half the replacement value for the damaged items. Then they make you sign a nondisclosure and agree to not write bad reviews. Posting for a friend so they can get a little bit of their money. read more

STAY AWAY. Worst company I ever dealt with. 4 of 5 movers did not speak English. Ruined a brand new couch by putting filthy boxes on them. Gouged and scraped a sleigh bed, left charcoal grease all over brand new garage floor. Delay tactics over a month to repair or compensate. Which they have not. Owner came over to supposedly help. Tried to hide gouges in bed with minwax crayons. Said he could not see stains that bad in couch. BECAUSE I SPENT TEN HOURS MYSELF CLEANING THEM. He couldn't tell if they could pay for any of it. I needed three pieces of furniture moved into my storage unit. Apparently the price they quoted me was only for one mover. They told me I would need two or three movers and that it was a four hour minimum even though my job would take less than an hour. Not a good way to do business. read more

Brian, the packing job was also the worst I've seen. They showed up with a truck that was over half way full with someone else's stuff, and insisted on trying to smash as much of my stuff in as possible while items were falling out of the truck. Never have I seen a crew care less about the way things were put into a truck, clearly leading to items breaking. Another example of the lack of care is when a packer tried to used brute strength to try and align my wife's bicycle handle bars with the wheel instead of properly using tools to loosen the bolts first. As mentioned in the previous review, worst moving company I've dealt with in 10+ moves. read more

I have so little respect for this company, let's start with they said I would have 2 trucks and 4 men, well that didn't happen, took aaaaaaalllllday to get my stuff in storage moved 4 miles away. I have used TOMCO 5 times for moves over the past 13 years, with one of those being an out of state move. They have always delivered great customer service, been reasonably priced, and have been prompt, careful and hard working during each of those moves. Overpriced, charged for four hours work, when only 2 hours were done, banged up my furniture, scraped brand new hardwood, took off sheet rock, and left gouges in the walls and trim. Office personnel are rude and only care about making money, not customer service. You'd be better off hiring high school students to move you in. read more

My initial contact was great. They showed up on time (8AM sharp), had 4 young, healthy and experienced movers and a supervisor. Everything went well loading my stuff at my old address. Unfortunately, the unloading was a nightmare. Two older gentlemen showed up around 2:30. They had called me at 8 am to say they were 15 minutes away, but they were really 3 hours away in a different city. The driver had punched in the wrong address in his GPS. They were in the correct state, but that was it. I ended up with two guys struggling for 6 hours to get my furniture and boxes into the house. If I hadn't carried 30% of the stuff in myself, it would have been another two hours at least. My walls and railing are all banged up and they broke a couple of pieces of furniture that had been moved a few times before without any issues. I called the boss (Brian) the next day and he was indifferent to put it kindly. I paid $4200 dollars for this experience and wish I had given my money to somebody else. I guess "the Other" means that you get one service on one end and "other" at the opposite. There are plenty of movers in Hampton Roads. Pick someone else. read more

This moving company is not the best company to work with. Items such as prescription drugs, a glass jug with coins, a Dyson chargeable vacuum did not make it from my old house to my new house. I contacted the company and got numerous runaround and was told that my claim would be Processed. It was never processed and I never received reimbursement for items that were lost. The prescription drugs and the glass jug of coins miraculously appeared on my front porch three weeks after my move. I would avoid this company at all cost. Poor customer service and the owner can't look you in the eye when he talks to you. Also, several pieces of my furniture were nicked. The movers did not listen when I asked him not to turn my jewelry armoire upside down to put on the dolly. Guess what it got put upside down and all my jewelry ended up in one tangled mess. Avoid this company at all costs because they are not reputable and do not appreciate their customers. read more
