Now, I am making it a personal mission to play Connect Four this weekend. Last night was my first visit and I would definitely return. Great service, good selection of beer and all in all, good prices. The seasonal draft beers we've tried have all been very good. They have specials throughout the week that make the prices even better. We went on Sunday and got a $10 two topping pizza which was definitely large and was better than most delivery style pizzas. I came here on a Thursday and was greeted with pizza when I joined my friends. Wasn't impressed at all. Usually I'm a three or four pieces man, but tonight I was half a piece. Nothing is worse than bad pizza. Anyway, I'm sure their other food is fine, but not much flavor on the pizza. They did win me over with their Blue Moon special. The bar warmed on me a little bit after a few of those. However, the bar really did warm on me, because there's no AC! After thirty minutes I was dying for some kind of air. This is a terrible summertime bar when it's over 80 degrees. Also, the waitress was overwhelmed with tables. She was the only one working and had too much on the plate. I'd go here again when it's cooler outside, but I'm good for now. If you have a group of friends are want to catch a game - this could be a decent bar. This spot is super chill and laid back. It was also super decked out for the holidays, which I appreciate. The menu is perfect for someone with the munchies, and they're also right next door to a pasta joint if you feel like ordering something more fancy. The drink specials are the best part. They have a tasty seasonal cocktail list that won't break your bank. The beer list is small, but a good variety. The worst part is the service. My group showed up pretty early, when the number of staff exceeds the number of patrons. Many servers hanging around chit-chatting, yet ours somehow busy behind the bar. All of us had empty glasses and empty dishes for a while, and had to pester our server twice for the tab. None of the other servers picked up her slack, which makes the establishment as a whole look bad, not just one server. Get your shit together, ladies. read more

My FAVORITE go-to in the city! Call me bias because I live next door, but I crave the pizza and cheese curds from this place. The service is excellent, very friendly staff, and specials all week long (my favorite is Sunday night 2-topping large pizza for $10 and Thursday $3 Stella). Everyone I introduce to this place keeps on coming back (ex: my sister tried to get an order of cheese curds to go at 11 am on a Friday). I don't really feel there is much that sets it apart from other places, but I do enjoy it (probably because of the company, not so much the place). I love this place. The bartenders are friendly, the food is cheap ($5.00 for 10 HUMUNGOUS wings? You can't beat that!), the wing sauce is delicious, and the overall atmosphere just rocks. Even better? Country music is almost always jamming on the Jukebox and the bartenders and customers are rocking right along. Drew is right, there is some inconsistency with the boneless wings and chicken fingers (sometimes it is thick breading and sometimes it's thin), but the portions are always the same. I'm assuming the "ordered the wrong item" is a front for "we ordered what was cheaper that week", which is fine with me because, as i see it, the savings are passed on to me. I have to admit that I've probably passed by this place over a hundred times until this past week when I randomly stopped in for one of the best damn burgers I think I've had in years. It was totally unexpectedly juicy, tender and flavorful...Not counting my luck I decided to try this little hole in the wall one more time to confirm that it was in deed a place capable of grilling up an exceptional burger and was completely blown away for a second time. On my second visit I was greeted by one of the most amazingly awesome bartenders I've ever met in my life! Natasha, got me totally taken care of, kept the beer flowing and served me yet another exceptional burger. I've got no problem walking right on past Mickey's and right on into The Other Side. Unfortunately we got in just about 45 minutes 'til last call, but that didn't change my feeling that this was a cool bar. Definitely a sports bar. We are new to the neighborhood, and were looking for a chill bar nearby with decent food and reasonable prices. A salesperson at a store nearby recommended the Other Side and it was everything we were looking for. We stopped by on Saturday for wings and the World Cup and this place exceeded all expectations. Excellent atmosphere (the Christmas lights and Wrigleyville chalk mural are so fun), excellent service (attentive servers and unexpected free shots for everyone in the bar during the game), and surprisingly great mozzarella sticks and wings (the Buff-a-cue wings were unique and are now among my favorites in Chicago). They also have $4 stadium cups of domestic beer all day and night on Saturday and Sunday, which is a weekend steal, to be honest. read more

I have come to this bar off and on for over a decade now. Unfortunately, new management has felt the need to not allow hip hop on the jukebox. This is ridiculous on a few levels. On one level it shows a complete lack of understanding as to the type of music consumed by people who are under 40. On another it displays a lack of understanding as to the type of people who actually live in the city. As a result, my beloved TOS has become a lame suburban strip mallesque dive bar. I don't care or nag about the service or any other thing, although in my opinion they are very professional and nice. They are not like some other bars with short skirts or popping boobs or whatever instead they know how to do their job, they are friendly and they look like you. but the important thing here is FOOD! The food is absolutely amazing. I had many wings around Chicago and still the best wings belong to this place with the best price ($5 for 10 wings), juicy, tender, and a perfect sauce. WHATEVER I tried from the menu was amazing fires, oven baked cheese sticks, calamari, burgers, you name it! Even the steak dinner (sure it's not a filet minion or top-rated steak but for $12 the 8 ounce is very good). The beers are very reasonably priced, if you go with the specials even better. OH and the best of all, the PIZZA! Try it with the extra goat cheese on it, we love it! This is my favorite bar in Chicago and I dine there at least 3-4 times a month if not more (because it's not close to me I drive 25 minutes!) and it's open late! p.s. I love The Other Side. I live around the corner, and I can't get enough. The environment is welcoming and casual. I love going there for beer and very, very, good pizza. On Sunday nights a large pizza is $10. Staff is always friendly and attentive. There are board games to play in the corner. There are drink specials every night, plenty of TVs if you want to watch a game, and a full menu if you foolishly don't want to eat the pizza. It is a neighborhood gem. read more

This place is my favorite bar in Chicago. Awesome atmosphere, great food, excellent specials. I used to live 3 blocks south, and went here very frequently. It gets busy, but I've never had too much issue getting seated. The pizza is EXCELLENT, and the Wednesday special is clutch. My wife and I have polar opposite pizza tastes, but with unlimited toppings for $12...no problem. She can pile her side high with all the crap she desires, while I enjoy my slices of heaven. The games are always a good time: Connect 4, Jenga, Battleship, etc... Overall, I just love the relaxing, completely unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere in this place. Complement with good food and beer, and I'll always be a loyal patron, even though going here is much more of a hike from our new place. read more
