I've had their donuts in the past, but this is the first time I have gone to the storefront. A craft event hosted by GetCraftySLC at The Other Side Donuts is what brought me in. I fell in the love with the space as soon as I walked in... such bright, vibrant, colors with inspirational messages and just a fun vibe! Even the tables matched the energy of the whole place and just tied everything together. They have a wish wall where you can write down your wishes and add to the collection of wishes made. Lots of spots for photo ops. There are a variety of donuts to choose from, it was hard to choose. They even have merch for sale and they have a party room available. The staff was super nice and there was steady business all day. I love that this place is located relatively close to my home. read more

Great service, enjoyed learning about their story. Cool shop, fun party room, little play area, ample seating. Display case showed the donuts, what they were comprised of, and the cost of each. Super helpful! Reese's donut was devoured! Dirt donut with gummy worms was enjoyed by the grandson, and the creme bullets (sp?) donut was claimed by the daughter. Waking in the has a lot more then just donuts. I didn't go look around cause it was close to closing and they still had a good selection of items. It is a pretty bright full of color place. The couple that I tried were really good. The beehive one was different. I didn't see that it was spicy until after I took a bite of the sugar honeycomb. It was good with a little kick that was the only spicy part to me. I also haven't ever had a fritter with as much icing in it as theirs has. It's good I thought a little "wet" but if it was a day old it would be probably perfect. Maybe? The three employees there were really nice and happy. I would definitely go back. read more

I've never been here, and the doughnuts are tasty, and a little pricy. I felt okay about paying more because profits go to helping people who are homeless. I especially liked the key lime pie doughnuts and the dirt cup doughnut. I was surprised by how many unique flavors they had! I expected the fillings to all be the same, but each was different. These doughnuts are a treat for the eyes! Even my picky family wanted to try multiple flavors! Doughnuts are priced individually, but a slightly discount for ordering a dozen. A bright beautiful building boasting unique designs/flavors of donuts! A MUST STOP IN UTAH. Not just because the donuts are yummmmmy scrumptious but because the business promises to donate 100% of the profit to fund operations for The Other side village. Helping provide housing, support services and even employment for those less fortunate help get back on their feet! As if the donuts weren't sweet enough that premise made it EVEN SWEETER!! I wish I seen more places around my hometown adopt this strategy. The ambiance is so inviting plenty of places to take your IG pics and a cool area for the littles to play their hearts away. The have a shop for little trinkets and goodies, with books for children and toys it honestly grabbed my attention so quick... I'm just a big kid duh! The donuts are TASTY, flavor combinations are unique and for a chocolate lover like myself they have you covered. Wonderful donuts with tremendous customer service all in support of a great cause. This place is the real deal. If you're unfamiliar with The Other Side program, it's a rehabilitation program that takes convicted felons and drug offenders and offers them a free place to live, eat, and recover with radical accountability as the foundation of their pedagogy. Part of the mission includes these folks working in one of the 4 business they own and operate. The Other Side Donuts is one of those businesses. Nestled inside an industrial park, this colorful building stands out, in part because of the colors but also because there really isn't another visible restaurant around. Inside there's a small play area for kids, seating and, of course, donuts. Friendly staff greeted us and offered a free small toy to my child. There were samples to try, which I of course helped myself too. I had the honey comb and boy was it delicious. A combination of sweet, creamy, and buttery. If you want world class donuts with world class friendly staff, this place is what you're looking for. read more

I have heard nothing but great things about The Other Side Donuts and I saw The Other Side Donut truck as we were walking into an RSL game and I HAD to try them. I love what their purpose and $3 for a delicious donut was totally worth it. My husband and son tried the maple bar and I went with a tiger tail (I think that was it?). My don't reminded me of the raspberry zinger cakes. The only sad part is I only ate a couple of bites if my donut and my husband forgot to grab it as we were leaving the stadium! I have seen the dark pink building several times and I had a little extra time so stopped in. Oh my what a sight all the donuts you have ever wanted were there even ones you have never heard of like pink lemonade. While speaking with the clerk I found that the company is to get the homeless off the street and leads them to rehabilitation and teaching them to work and survive in the world again. He said that the tiny homes were available to them as long as they work and pay the rent. I am so impressed with this non-profit organization that I bought a dozen and they are delicioush and yes I got the pink lemonade and I think that is my favorite second is the blueberry.
