I went in got a gigantic maple doughnut. I was bringing it to a customer that I was trying to impress or just to get some more business with presentation was great. Two hours after I dropped it off I called and asked how their donut was and they proceeded to tell me that there was a a soda can tab in the dough of the doughnut. I went in to complain and I wanted to talk to the manager but she was out I sent a text message to get a call back. I got nothing. Visited for the first time to try out a few items. They didn't have the maple bacon bar pictured on Yelp. The raspberry filled donut was basically a stale glazed donut with NO filling. Not being hyperbolic, the filling was totally missed. The blueberry cheese pastry was also not fresh. I ordered the maple cronut in lieu of the maple bar and that tasted freshly made. I don't normally order three items once I find a favorite (typically the raspberry filled), but I'm glad I did. Calories were saved today. Dear Donut Star, the kids behind the counter were clean cut and kind, however, better quality control needs to be put in place. I have noticed quality of donuts is not as it was a few years ago. I just paid $6 for a dozen croissants holes! That price is ridiculous! They were so dry and stale. We actually went to the store! Small store front. We went around 1pm and they still had plenty of donuts. Gentleman that helped us was friendly and explained how they will make more donuts if they see they maybe running out. Which is cool, they only fry in the morning so they aren't fresh throughout the day. The stay open til 5 but if they sell out sooner they close so keep that in mind. Decided to stop by this place to check it out. First off no one greeted anyone coming in. you have a staff of 4 people. guy comes in with an order that he was picking up everyone is confused. 3 of us still waiting in line eventually someone starts to take our order, younger kid with a white hat. clearly he's confused. we order a cinnamon roll he proceeds to wipe his nose and then grab the roll. We order a few more thinga, again wipes his nose. the kid working is clearly confused as to what he is doing. gentleman putting stuff away could care less what's going on. looks like maybe an owner or manager. The shop itself is cute and clean. But the people in there are so so nice! They asked about me, they made genuine conversation with me. They were genuinely nice engaging people. I tried stopping by for National Donut Day, but they were closed early-presumably due to selling out. Not to be deterred, I returned a couple days later to enjoy a belated celebration. We were greeted by a handful of cheerful, pink-shirted staff members. We browsed the case for a moment or two and found several to our liking. I found that the glazed (the donut by which I judge all donut shops-to be fair across the board) was good. Not out of this world amazing, but it held it's own. Next time, I might try some of the others and maybe find a new favorite. The variety pack that we took home quickly got gobbled up by family members, so I didn't get to try any others. This is a fun place in a hopping location. I'm not sure if they usually have dine-in options, it looked like the tables and chairs had all been put away. Referred by foodie friends to come here as they know I love me a good cronut! Had to stop by and "investigate". We were warmly greeted and they had a great selection of donuts, not to mention their cronuts - they were really TALL! I was impressed by its presentation! The donuts were really good, and their cronut was decent. Although they were not as "fluffy soft" as I thought they would be. Hubby said they were actually even better if you stick them in the microwave for a few seconds and then indulge in it. But it's true--their greatest attribute has long since been cancelled and we have a donut shop that is open just until 4 or 5 pm each day, rather than the full glory of a 24hr shop. I discovered something when they ceased to be open that late, and it was that I didn't come by anymore; there are other donut shops closer and if you're not going to be open late, I wasn't going to go out of my way. It had been a long long time since I was here, and I happened to go by the other day and stop in, and was reminded of all those late night trips. Well, not much else has changed, except that they do a frosted version of a cronut now, with chocolate or maple, from what I saw. Those suckers are like $3.50 a piece or something close to that, but their iteration of this hybrid donut is probably the best version in the valley. Beyond that, it's still a lot of cake donuts, a lot of frosted and sprinkled things, as well as some bars, fritters, and then other pastries peppered in. There's still a pink box, and still a crew of folks there to help you. You just have to come in during normal workday hours... so you probs also find yourself here on a Saturday, or not at all. Still, if the late night hours were big moneymakers, they would probably still be open late, so I guess the donut buying public has spoken. This place is worth the try. They have fun unique flavors and even have Croinuts (croissant donut). I've been looking for Croinuts ever since trying them in California. The one that surprised me is they have a croissant ham, cheese and jalapeno fried thing that was really amazing and they even warm it up for you. The service was great! They were beautiful pastel green, pink, and blue colored frosting some with sprinkles, some not. Their dough is super soft and fluffy and the frosting had good flavor too. I also tried a maple kronut. the kronut was plenty sweet already so I wish I had omitted the maple drizzle. It was perfectly flaky! The texture was spot on.
