A bait & switch operation, not a business you can trust! Dishonest, sleazy way of doing business with & total lack of integrity & accountability! I paid in full at a "discounted" price that I was offered, for a "custom" piece of furniture only for them to try & charge me more 3 weeks later! I paid the extra $121 under duress & at that point, they turned around & refused to deliver & refunded my money. I believe they finally refused it to me bc they realized that they wouldn't be able to get me to pay even more than the $121 extra they managed to gouge out of me! I reported them to Consumer Protection but they can't be held accountable legally bc they refunded my money. As a result, I will take my business elsewhere for the other furniture I need to purchase in the future & I suggest anyone reading this do the same. read more

I am so grateful for the Furniture Outlet and in particular, Al. I had ordered a Sofa online from JC Penney in early November that was supposed to arrive by 12/9/22 and there I was on 12/16 after calling JCPenny 5 times and having absolutely no clue when or if it would ever arrive. Dangerously close to Christmas and my daughters visiting and well CHRISTMAS coming up - I was in a panic. I tried Ashley showroom and looking all over the internet, but nothing would not arrive until after Christmas. I decided to try Furniture Outlet which is nearby and I pass by all the time. Al was AMAZING. He knew the exact sofa I had ordered from JCPenny just by looking at a photo on my phone. He knew how to get similar Sofa within 3 days over a weekend! I order a platform bedroom set in September expecting the bed to be very sturdy. By November I encountered issues with the bed and found that there are 3 wood sticks going down the center of the bed from the floor to the pannels to help support the bed. These levers are very thin and it was obvious that the screw used to hold it in place split the wood levers and the platform panels gave in and now i have a broken bed. At this point I had to remove the mattress and place it on the floor. The customer service at this store is extremely poor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING FURNITURE FROM FURNITURE OUTLET. I went into the store to see if they can assist with rectifying the issue and Al said to send the picture to a particular number and he will have someone call me to take a look at the issue to see if they can fix it. He also said they would charge me just for coming. This was on a Thursday, I was suppose to get a call on Saturday. Instead Al called and said the tech would now call on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and no call. I then called the store 2x the following week and Connie said she will explain the issue to the manager Joe and get back to me. I am now nine days in and no satisfactory response. I then placed another call to let Connie know that I will come in and talk to Joe myself. Before I got to the store Joe calls and says that he saw the pictures and he can only order the same cheap wood for the levers and pannels from the manufacturer and it will cost $200 plus installation fees. He insisted that maybe I moved the bed and that could be why the reason why the levers gave in. First of all Joseph the bed weighs a ton, it is not moving around and it has under bed draws on both side and the front. My son weighs 150 lbs, this should NOT have gave in by any means after 3 months. At the end of the day, they did nothing to help justify my purchase a ALL. Only to tell me they have never received a complaint about this set (oh of course not, why would you say any diffrent) and I would need to spend an additional 200 to 400 dollars to fix a set I only had for 3 months and no one came out to look at the damage! Mind you I got the run around for 9 days. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE OR THEIR SERVICE AT ALL. Joe stated that they are an independent store managed by him so there is no regional manager nor a corporate office. do yourself a favor and don't buy furniture from The Outlet. they are out to take your money and not give you the merchandise you paid for!! i came in here with my dad on 12/12/2020 to look at their sofas. we spoke to two different employees and told them we were just looking. as we were leaving, a salesman (i believe his name is alvin/al) told us that he'll offer us a discount on a sofa that we were eyeing. he talked his way into convincing my dad to purchase the sofa, and told us it would be delivered the following thursday (12/17/2020). thursday comes, no delivery. we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for friday. still nothing. no call, nothing. the following monday comes, and tells us that they actually didnt have the sofa, despite telling us previously that it was in stock, and that it was going to come in MARCH. THREE MONTHS FROM NOW. so on the following saturday my dad and i went to ask for our money back as they SOLD US SOMETHING THEY DID NOT HAVE DESPITE GIVING US A DELIVERY DATE AND ALL, to which the salesman said "we can't give refunds here, only store credit." why would we take store credit from a business that obviously operates on lies?? also, let me mention their terms and conditions on their receipts. they claim they cannot offer refunds, only store credit, and that the only way you can get a refund is if it's been 12 weeks since the delivery date and you haven't received merchandise. obviously this is something that they do often. they have their store policy set up to cover their shady tracks. they KNEW they did not have the merchandise and lied to us. that is simply not how you do business, coming from a business owner of 30 years. my dad promptly called his bank and received our refund, but use this as a warning. DO NOT PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM THE OUTLET UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING LIED TO. read more
