I don't really understand the issues others have had with this store. I bought my gun here, and I've found it in stores in Nashville for more money. Not only is ammo cheap, it's the only place we can go consistently and find .22LR in stock, and I look every store I go in, even if I don't plan to buy. Love that you can get bulk deals (last time, I got 325 rounds in an ammo can for way cheap) for just about every caliber, and they have a huge selection of accessories of any and every kind - targets, cleaning kits, holsters, etc. When I got my gun, they switched out grips for me without complaint (seriously, we've been to stores that have complained about taking 2 min to switch out grips for us when we're busy spending hundreds of dollars). The store is in the middle of nowhere and closes at 8. If you have to go out of your way to get there, extended hours would be nice. Last time I tried to stop, I missed getting there by literally ninty seconds. But my biggest complaint is that there is no range. Give it a range, I'll give it the fifth star. read more

I saw all of the billboards and decided to take a look. I was worried from the negative reviews about bad customer service. I don't know what they were talking about. There were about 20 patrons and 6 staff, and I couldn't walk by a staff member without someone asking me if I needed help and striking conversation about whatever until another patron came. Best pistol selection I have seen in a gun store between here, Nashville, and Clarksville, and they have silencers, lots of them-even for the .50 cal rifles. Not the best price on bullets. Wanted 600 bucks for a 900 round box of 5.56 which is about 66¢ per round. I can find them for 50¢ average at my local stores in clarksville and 40¢ online. They do have a military discount though, which works out for me. BLUF-best selection I have ever seen, good customer service, but a little pricey. read more

They have a huge selection of guns I've bought 4 glocks there only cause of Leo discount because they are the most pricey of any gun store I've been in for instance a glock gen 4 is worth 500 maybe a tad more brand new if it's something you are in love with and can't find one and don't like dealing with individuals but there glocks are like 6 something before all your paperwork and even there used stuff is 50 -100 overpriced the people are nice friendly and helpful you may run into one of those no it all gunghole? People but besides that it's good if you wanna browse get a feel for a gun then say ok they priced it 650 here so I no it's really worth 450 500 and go get it somewhere else read more

After going to all the stores near Murfreesboro Outpost Armory had the best price on a Glock 19 FDE GEn4. They were really pleasant to work with and the store had very competitive prices and a huge stock of basically everything. I had night sights installed for $15 in about 10 minutes, and they also installed my Taran +2 basepads on my Glock 43 mags for free! Those things are a pain to install, and i feel bad because they had a difficult time getting them on. They let you hold any gun and try them out even if you have no intention of buying, which is a great policy, and why i'll be making my future purchases with them. read more

Outstanding selection and friendly staff. Can't understand why anyone would write a poor review on these guys. Family owned and is run like it. Went in for reloading supplies and was very pleasantly surprised. While no store (in the four I went to) in Nashville except bass master had any powder, outpost had several that I have been looking for, and they had primers and bullets too! Staff talked to me for over 20 minutes about different subjects- glad to take time with their customers. Spent around $500 there. Great store! Wish we had one like it in jacksonville. read more

Went there to buy a particular firearm. It wasn't in stock. Left my number and they called me back and quoted a price. I said yes. Pistol came in and I went to pickup. Price was ten bucks higher. I asked about and was told they would honor the quote. I also got a holster and ammo. Cashier rang up and I said total seemed high. He looked at it and merchandise and said it was correct. Silly me, I should have checked. Charged me the higher price for the pistol and charged me for an extra box of ammo. I contacted them through website about the errors. Never heard back. Most likely will never go back unless a big sale on ammo. High prices to match. read more

This is a fantastic store if you love guns, arrogant people, high prices, inconsiderate people, people that flat out lie to you to get your business, I've never been more disappointed than I was after doing business with this company. It took 4 visits to the store to complete my transaction on the 3rd visit they finally did what they should have on the first visit! When I arrived to pick up my purchase on the fourth visit I was more than disappointed again with how rude these people are. Not even a thank you for your business. They don't sell anything you cant get cheaper somewhere else. This is a fact! I highly advise to drive a bit further to another gun store to conduct your business. Don't ever buy a gun here. The staff is rude and the guns are over priced. First when I asked if there were any specials the guy laughed at me and rolled his eyes. Every gun I asked to see the guy would be pushy as hell and say "let's box that up for you now" finally I had to tell the guy I'm looking to see what I want and I didn't bring money with me I'm going to have to come back. As soon as I said that he locks the case up and walks away and goes to help someone else even though I asked to look at another gun. My friend that bought a shotgun also had an unpleasant experience however I'm not him so he can tell his own experience. There are plenty of places in town to buy guns do not support these people. Go to "On Target" or "shooters" support the smaller businesses as the big businesses don't deserve our money. I was looking to purchase three guns to just not right at that moment. I'm in sales and am a district manager for my company so this taught me to make sure to teach my guys to treat everyone with the same amount of respect even if they are not buying right then and there. I assumed everyone did it cause that's common courtesy but today showed me that it's not. The best part about all of this is I found what I wanted at the "outpost armory" and then went to the bank got my money and bought the three guns I was interested in at a different store. As a consumer we have choices and we can support who we choose to support I strongly urge you to never ever support this business. read more

I've seen many previous reviews bashing the customer service and sales staff, but I can honestly say those were NOT my personal experiences at all! I went there today to have some very minor work on my M1A done by Ed and got to participate in a little enjoyable gun talk with Dan while I waited. I saw a group of very professional, courteous, and competent sales personnel working hard for their customers (and by the way, they were VERY busy- I don't believe things slow down in that gun store very often). Most of my gun purchases are done online because I work overseas and that's the nature of the beast, but I've purchased two handguns in the past from Outpost Armory and have no complaints at all. I just drove 10+ miles to buy a pistol. I wish I would have read the reviews. The negative ones, cause that is exactly how I was treated. The salesman was arrogant, rude and totally made me feel unwelcome. What a Joke. I will never go back again. I called manager and he said I apologize, with about as much arrogance as the jerk that didn't wait on me. Business must be good cause I walked out and am never going back. Great selection of guns in stock but Like the other reviewer said, guns here are at least 50$ more than they are at other shops in middle tn and online. On top of this the gun salesmen are very very arrogant and rude. They have had a know it all condescending attitude every single time I have gone inside to look at guns. And just like the other reviewer said they only have one girl checking people out at all times. This is a problem when your store is fairly busy and most purchases require background checks. On top of that, the last time I was here the blonde girl at the desk was flirting with a customer at the register and wouldn't ring me out as I stood there behind the guy (who never bought anything) for about 5 minutes. I would never give my money to this place. I have been in Appx 5 times and have had the same issues each and every time. It's a shame being that it is so close to my house. Just FYI for anyone thinking of using their online service.The online purchases are not on items that are in stock at their brick and mortar store. They ship online purchases from somewhere else (some place far away) and while it may be cheaper in price than what is on hand at their store, you will unfortunately be required to wait at least a week for the item to be shipped. So strange. They are also very quick to point out that their prices are not the same as the online website. They felt it necessary to try make me feel like an idiot for not being able to read that on their website. I had a very poor experience with their so called on-line purchase process. No one seems to want to answer the phones and it requires you to use voicemail for them to call you back (not sure why). There is also only "one person" in the whole store that can do anything with an online purchase (Jason Inman). No one else (manager, Ed or the general manager) can do "anything" if a problem occurs. I find it strange that only one person, who by the way was less than helpful in this entire purchase, is the sole entity for their online service. Perhaps they do not have many purchases, I am not sure. Bottom line is they dropped the ball on my purchase and made no attempt to fix the problem. To make matters worse, I wanted to cancel my order, then they mysteriously found my purchase. I explained wanted to cancel my order anyway. They said Jason was the only person who could return an online purchase. They didn't even want to extend an in-store credit. They said it would take another week to get my refund. Wow! I hate to say this because it is a very looking nice store, but I will take my business elsewhere. My advice, do not buy anything from their online site. Lesson that was learned the hard way. I went in there the last 2 days. The first time was for ammo the 2nd time was looking for an ak rifle. Both times the staff were very condescending and rude. They acted as if i had no idea what i was talking about and they didn't have time to mess with me. I was looking at a used c39 v2 for 699 . Thats a bit on the high side but not awful. I brought in 2 rifles to trade in for one. One of my rifles were worth about 400 to 500 the other was 200 to 300. They offered me 100 for each on trade in and then proceeded to tell me what they were worth . Then he started to explain to me what the definition of a used rifle is like im not aware of that. Both days were different staff that i had spoken to . They have lost my business forever and i will not return . Their prices are not competitive, the staff is rude and their selection is not the greatest. Im not so mad about the low offer they gave me its more of how they talked to me . I felt like they were assuming that i had no idea what i was talking about and then explaining what the definition of "used" is just infuriated me. I do not recommend anyone to do buisness with them . This is not a slander of outpost armory . This is me sharing my own personal experience. read more
