Looks like there are not tons of reviews on this spot, so I'm glad to add an updated one!! The Oxford Club has spa and gym services, but I went twice in the month of December just for their spa services. They had a special event for locals where people were able to utilize the facilities and book a free 30-minute treatment. I saw their locker room, steam room, and got a 30-minute facial. I returned 3 weeks later for a full facial treatment! The space has an older feel to it - it's definitely an older building. When you walk in, it's a small space with different products for sale. You'll see a receptionist counter, where they'll help you check in. There is a locker room that has a steam room in it. Although I do love a steam, it definitely feels just like you're in a locker room for a gym or rec center of some sort. They do have two vanity tables with a hair dryer, curler, and straightener. They also have sandals and nice robes for you to change into, which help to elevate the experience! Once you're all changed, you exit the locker room to head upstairs. Upstairs is where you can enjoy some tea, or other beverages, complimentary with a spa treatment. There are seats for you to sit, and chat with people you might be there with. You can also head into the room where the spa treatments are given, where it is much quieter and "zen" feeling! The facial itself was so great!! My esthetician was so knowledgable and gave a great facial, with a small neck/shoulder massage! She took time to ask me about my skin and gave me some tips about how to keep it hydrated. The room feels peaceful with a comfortable table you lie on, and you change out of your robe for the treatment. It was such a great experience and I'm so glad I came back after the local community event!! read more

Came in today with my husband at 10 for his 80 minute deep tissue massage and he loved it. I went in at 11:30 for a quick 25 minute facial followed by an 80 minute massage from Olivia... she worked some magic on me. What a wonderful and lovely and kind soul to have massage away all my stress. Thank you Olivia for your attentiveness to my needs! Sam the front desk associate was beyond hospitable and a joy, she greeted me by my name and made the check in and out process seamless. I called yesterday to see if I could add on a facial and Sam was working yesterday and happily helped me add on a facial! What an incredible experience all together, I felt special and cared for which you don't get much this fam day and age but this spa hit the mail on the head. Once my favorite stylist, Jason, moved over to The Oxford Club, I have been going there to get my hair done. It is fancy and, let's face it, a little pampering these days is necessary. The Club itself has a pretty large retail space, locker rooms, about five salon chairs, two shampoo stations, and facilities for massage and other beauty regimens. I have only been here for haircuts, so I can't speak to the other services. Though every time I visit, I wish I had booked a massage! Upon arrival, clients get their temperature taken and check in with the front desk staff. Everyone has to wash their hands and change into a smock in the appropriate locker room. Then you're ushered upstairs to wait, socially distanced, for your stylist to greet you. Social distancing is enforced at all times. It's not difficult to stay at least 6' away from other customers here. There's never more than 3-4 stylists working at the same time. Masks are required at all times, which kind of sucks when getting a haircut, but it keeps everyone safe. Note that there's $5 valet parking for customers, but you can also find metered parking nearby (max 2 hours). read more

This review is specifically for Tasha Jean, hair guru! I reached out to her at the recommendation from a friend. I shared with her my horrible experience with Kantor & Co in Boulder, CO. She was empathetic, kind and compassionate. She promised to help and got me into the first appointment she had available. The salon is very nice and is part of the Oxford Club Spa so you can add services if you want to make a day if it. Tasha Jean is excellent with hair and treated me like a long-time client from the start. I love my hair and am back to getting compliments about it from strangers. The only thing I wish the salon would change is the products they sell. Unfortunately they use Kerastase which are sold in China so they are tested on animals. This place is fancy with a capital F. I had only heard of it because someone recommended I check out The Brow Bar & Co on Instagram. But I was like, do they have a Yelp page?? Turns out Lea does brows out of The Oxford Club. If you're looking for someone who does killer pigmentation on your brows, look no further. She's amazing. I'm not gonna lie, the process is kinda painful. I mean, you're tattooing your face! But she is so distracting and does numb you minutes into the process. The club itself is kind of hard to find and parking is a nightmare downtown. But once you Get there, you walk into a door that looks like a leasing agency. I've walked past the door every time and I've been three. The front desk is full of skincare and stuff for sale and then you walk up the stairs to be greeted by a water station and colorful M&Ms. You'll almost always see ladies getting their hairs did and apparently they have a gym/spa too. UPDATED 11/3 I heard from management who is working to rectify the situation. The Oxford Club is beautiful and offers many great services and a beautiful workout facility. Don't let our one time experience keep you from going. Here's the previous review: My partner loves a great massage. And we love the Oxford Hotel. So since he's been dealing with cancer for a while, I wanted to treat him to something he'd enjoy. We set him up with the most recommended massage therapist. Sadly this turned out to be the worst massage he's ever had. First off, the only thing I can conclude is that the therapist must have possibly thought that cancer is contagious. We booked a Swedish massage, a nice rubdown. What he got was bruising on his neck and shoulders and very little work elsewhere. I can only conclude that this was intentional, since the therapist is well experienced. I'm not mentioning any names yet because this is still not fully resolved. Watch this space. read more

Beautiful spa with five star service. Emmalee gives incredible facials (and they are SO relaxing!!). She really goes out of her way to explain what is going on with my skin, treats it delicately, and then gives me advice for at-home care as well. I've learned so much from her on how to manage my sensitive skin. I always leave feeling refreshed and with absolutely glowing skin (not something I'm used to with my sensitive/problem skin). I always notice a difference from when I walked in. Be sure to go a little early (or stay late) as they offer a relaxing spot to enjoy complimentary beverages (including wine and bubbly). Early last Fall a BBQ blew up in my face when I tried to light it. At first I thought I died, and when I realized that I hadn't died the first thing I checked for was my eyebrows. I love my eyebrows because people say I have some of the biggest eyes they have ever seen! I still felt some fuzz on my brows, but I was pulling some of my beautiful curls out of my head, so I knew that something was going to be off. I was totally dramatic and went to the bathroom crying... I was hysterical as I pulled my curls out and slowly pet my skin where my other half of my eyebrow used to be. It was after this event that I started tinting my eyebrows.... You know, it takes longer to grow back your brows then you think... but there is sure a lot of baby fuzz there... So I went and had the brow tinted and it made it look like my brows had never been singed off by a rich person's old grill in Boulder... (Don't mind the slight passive aggressiveness... I was house sitting!) So, now I am hooked on this tinting thing, even though my brows are back in full force... The tinting just fills in all the blanks and gives me the "oomph" that puts that kick in my walk. I am going to Philly next weekend for my brother's business school graduation, and my regular girl at my normal salon was booked, so I called the Oxford Club in downtown Denver. The Oxford Club is part of the Oxford Hotel, which is this landmark beauty in itself. I called at 10:00am and they had an opening with Kathryn at 11:30am. The salon was crowded with men and women and there were people working out... As it is also a workout facility. The spa is beautiful and I could tell immediately that the building was old and whispered with history. I was led up the carpeted stars and put in a separate hallway, which was nicely decorated and serene. In an odd way, the hallway kind of reminded me of a brothel. Not that I know what a brothel looks like, but the room Kathryn took me into was small and quaint and it just felt like a "down-to-business" kind of room. Anyway, off subject. Kathryn is strikingly beautiful with her radiant skin and shaped eyebrows (Note to All: If your esthetician has bad eyebrows... Don't let them touch your brows!) Kathryn is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable. She tinted my brows perfectly and was patient in understanding my needs. With Summer rapidly approaching & desperately needing to get into bikini shape, my coworker challenged me try working out at her gym, and wow! I really dig this place! Here's why: Star 1= The club itself, although small, has everything you need to get a good workout. Two stories of ellipticals, treadmills, weights & various rooms that teach classes. I had the privilege of attending Fit Barre, aka, a class that works all the lady parts that are the hardest for women to tone up and isolate. Not only is it intense, but it's awesome and all girls! Star 2= The locker rooms are awesome! Because most women come during their lunch hours/after work, the club offers curling irons, hair spray & perfume to freshen yourself up before heading back to the office :) Star 3= Staff is amazing! Not only are they friendly & nice, but they are very accommodating to newbies, like me. They offered me a FREE week pass [that I can use for 7 different classes or workouts without a limit on time/dates] so I can get a feel for the club and all it has to offer! Star 4=Decently priced for a downtown gym. Although I usually buy a year pass, this gym offers month to month options starting at $57 a month and up. Not too shabby! I looooooved getting my microdermabrasion facial. It was 60 minutes and worth all the money! My skin was glowing after and I could definitely see a difference. It was also very relaxing; she massaged my arms and hands and of course tended to my face after using the device. 10/10 would recommend this service. I also got a lash tint, but I could only see a very very small difference. It could be because my eyelashes are already dark so I would not recommend the lash tint unless you have very light lashes. I've had a really mixed bag of experiences here. I work in the building and so occasionally I'll schedule an appointment at the Salon or drop in for a Fitness class. The Fitness facilities are very nice. The locker rooms are spacious and fully stocked with everything you need after a good workout. Plus there is a steam room. I've had mixed experiences with the staff. Some make me feel as if I'm invisible while others clearly strive to make my day. The instructors have all been very friendly and sweet, but the desk staff is less consistent. As for the Salon... I'm hesitant to revisit. The pedicures are expensive and the chairs just aren't built for my body. I feel more tense after trying to keep from slipping off the edge then I did when I began. The manicurist I went to was fantastic however. Incredibly sweet, easy to talk to, gentle and gave a great hand massage. The hair stylist I've seen has since left, but she didn't listen to a thing I said and I hated my haircut. The Oxford does offer some great specials and neat events and I'd definitley recommend the gym. read more

Massage Experience- Not What I Would Expect at the Oxford. The valet and spa front desk personnel were very friendly and welcoming... the masseuse I had was very nice as well, but I did not feel like the massage was all that relaxing nor worth $100! (Honestly, it makes me feel bad about writing a 2-star review about a nice person, which is why it has taken me a few weeks to write it here.) Anitra was my masseuse- she was friendly and has excellent taste in spa music, but I just felt that she talked too much during the massage and a lot of things she told me too were a lot about her personal life which felt a bit unprofessional, immature, and awkward at times. I always like a quiet, peaceful environment when I'm getting massaged and can never fully relax when someone is engaging me in conversation. The massage was ok- nothing spectacular, but I wonder if a lot had to do with the fact that I didn't feel very relaxed. For spending over $100, I expect high quality, spa-like service and I didn't feel like I got that here, unfortunately. I had high expectations going in, so just a bit disappointed. read more

I have been looking for a hair salon for almost a year since moving from Florida to Denver. After a series of TERRIBLE haircuts and damaged hair, I was so relived to find the salon at the Oxford Club. Best hair cut I have had in a while. My stylist gave great advice for dealing with the dry climate and was very friendly. I was there on a Sunday, so the salon was pretty quiet but the background music was nice and it was much more relaxing than the typical loud hair salon. I also decided to splurge and get a manicure. I loved the OPI color selection they had and my manicure lasted longer that the average 3 days...a week later my nails still looked great. I really liked the additional accessories they had when you walk in. The bracelets and earrings are adorable and reasonably priced. I purchased a deal online for a 50 minute massage and a mani/pedi. It was definitely worth doing. My favorite part was the massage. The massage beds are heated and the rooms are very nice and cozy. My masseuse was terrific and really went above and beyond for me. I was running late and didn't have a chance to change into a robe and she ran downstairs and got me a robe and slippers and a locker key. The massage was very relaxing and toward the end she put a warm compress on my forehead and it smelled so delicious, it was like they were baking cookies up there! The mani/pedi was nice too. She took her time and I did feel like she was very attentive. However, my fingernails ended up a little uneven and I thought the coverage could have been better on my toenails. Otherwise I loved all of the products used and I smelled so divine! There is plenty of product and haircare items to help you get ready after you've been pampered. The front desk gave me a little giftbag upon my departure and it had some free facial cleanser as well as some hair care samples and coupons for future use. Beware! If you go to this gym the hardest part of your work-out will be figuring out how to get out of your membership without continuously being charged! Overview: Had a gym membership here. Gave proper notice to put membership on hold (summer of 2016). Had to move to another state due to a death in the family (end of summer 2016). Gave proper notice of cancelation (and my cancelation was accepted). Gym was under renovation at the time. Checked credit card statement last week and noticed I was charged 3 months later for Gym Membership (sept and oct 2016). Spoke with Tanya Gerber, the manager, who was unable to refund me the $112.00 saying "I didn't give the proper notice". What more do you want? At Oxford Gym Customer Service goes out the window along with their ability to organize. Let's start by saying that I really dislike having to write a poor review for an establishment. I signed up for this gym to help with my recovery from being hit by a car, and it was walking distance from my work at the time. The gym was OK...had a few ellipticals (which I needed) and a class, that if I could get time off of work, was worth getting to. The gym is located in the basement, and after working in an office all day the low ceilings and lack of light make it not the most motivating place to work out. Front desk staff was disorganized (hence having this refund problem in the first place) and didn't notice if clientele was walking in and using the gym without even checking-in. Many staffers were unaware of the busy times in the gym. When I realized I would be putting my membership on hold (to check out some of the other, sate of the art, area gyms in the lodo area popping up) I started by giving the obligatory hold notice. When I needed to move from the state due to a death in the family I then gave proper notice of cancellation showing up in person to notify the staff. Here it is, months later, and I have 2 months of charges on my credit card. I called the gym for 3 days and was told I needed to speak with Tanya Gerber. I emailed as well and Tanya finally responded (in email) with a copy of my first email requesting the hold. I then called (of course no answer, I left a VM) and emailed again requesting a refund per my cancellation at the front desk this summer. Called one more time (left a VM) after I, again, received no answer to my previous email, and again emailed Tanya Gerber to which she finally emailed back saying there's NOTHING SHE CAN DO TO HELP. I guess that if Oxford Gym is in poor condition and needs renovations, and you go out of your way to make sure you're following Oxford Gym's cancellation process, and Tanya's staff and herself are unable to keep organized appropriate records of clientele....it's the customers fault?! read more

After a long week or month, everyone could use a great massage. I dug out my spa finder certificates and made sure they were valid at Oxford. I went in for a Deep Tissue Massage and these folks don't mess around. For those of you who are not aware - deep tissue massages are pretty intense, so come prepared and drinks lots of water afterwards. Overall - this place gets high marks from me: 1. great atmosphere - quiet , classy treatment rooms 2. full use of gym facilities whenever you are in for a treatment (no membership needed) 3. they have a fantastic steam room which I indulged in for quite awhile (very nice feature) 4. the massage therapist was very helpful and let me know I should probably visit everyone's favorite medical professional - the chiropractor and recommended a few folks. I was recently gifted a spa package here. I will make this short and sweet: The staff was really friendly and attentive. Massage? Amazing. I drank in every minute of it. She was not timid about applying pressure (slow clap). Facial? Equally amazing. I am a huge fan of Sanitas and was happy to find they used their products. The music was a little on the annoying side - but not a big deal. Lunch? It was good. Special? No. Memorable? Meh. . . Mani/Pedi? The woman that did my nails was really sweet. But I will stick to my ladies at Helena's Nails on 11th and Corona (GO THERE NOW!). Considering what was paid this service was well . . . slightly half assed. She left nail polish on the skin around the toenails, forgot a topcoat. While I feel bad about complaining over the fact that there was no rubbing of the feet or legs (which my trusty salon always does), I have to reiterate, for what was paid. . . Now, the manicure. The shellac was left streaky, my nails were uneven, and again no topcoat. Keep in mind the shellac was an additional cost. I am used to having a top coat put on when I get a shellac manicure. Maybe it's not necessary . . . still seemed odd. Again, no massaging of the hands or arms. Not to mention it seemed like the entire staff was in there servicing each other (get your head out of the gutter). It was all so great up until then. Maybe my standards were too high. read more

​ A couple of friends and I booked services at the Oxford hotel for an afternoon at the spa. My overall experience was good. In terms of price, they spa is averagely priced for similar spas located downtown. Offered as a perk, when you book a spa service it also gets you access to the gym and fitness classes. They do offer yoga in the morning, so if you can time your service around the class you can pack more bang for your buck. The gym is large and has all the equipment you would need to get in a full workout as well. The hotel offers valet parking which you can have validated at the spa for $5. The parking crew was also kind enough to let us grab lunch after our services were over without having to take the cars out of the valet. The locker room/steam room was a bit outdated but it was clean. The "relaxation room", i.e. waiting room before your service offered the standard spread of water, hot tea, and magazines to pass the time. I was little disappointed there wasn't something to snack on (like trial mix), which I've had at other spas in the area. I booked the deep tissue massage and overall I would say it was average as there were a couple of things that could have been improved. My therapist failed to mention that the scent she was mixing into my lotion was actually an add-on and it was not implied it would have an added cost either. She also did not use the bolster under my feet when I was lying face down on the table, so after some time I was very uncomfortable. Also the transitions during the massage were a little rough, something I might expect at massage envy. All in all it was a good experience but I may try another spa in the area before coming back. read more

The fitness center at the Oxford Club is one of Denver's best-kept secrets. The staff is incredibly friendly, the gym is well appointed with all the equipment you could ever want (all of which is very well maintained), and it's never crowded if you prefer after-work gym sessions like I do. I haven't visited at other times of the day, but the staff and fellow members tell me that it's never uncomfortably busy. The steam room is great and the locker room is stocked with everything you need in case you forget something in your gym bag. I haven't tried any of the classes yet, but there's a good mix of group classes offered throughout the week for a wide variety of fitness levels - seems like there should be something for everyone. If this doesn't already sound too good to be true, I should also mention that I found the Oxford Club's rates to be very competitive. I subscribe to the "Wellness Membership" which includes a 60 minute massage every month on top of unlimited access to the fitness center, and it's an incredible value. I've had a massage here already, and it was a great experience overall. The room was comfortable, my therapist was friendly and professional - the experience was essentially everything you'd expect from a high-end spa. While I can't comment on the other spa services as I've not used any (yet), I'd expect the same high-end level of service that emanates throughout. The only downside is that I have to resist the temptation of Amante Coffee next door as they share a lobby with the Oxford Club! read more

The Oxford Club is wonderful. I've scheduled several massages in the last few months. It's my favorite place in Denver for couples service for a few reasons. One - both men and women have access to locker rooms with steam rooms, showers and gym access. Two - services are on time and the therapists are friendly and great. Three - Atmosphere. I had Sean for my massage therapist and he was excellent. He worked on my problem areas and I haven't felt that relaxed in quite some time. He was attentive, and knows what he's doing. I have been to the Oxford a number of times and can't believe I have never reviewed it... With the exception of one really crazy experience (which was resolved by the Oxford Club staff), I've had very good service and really nice manicures and pedicures at the Oxford. Tonight I stopped by with a friend for a pedicure and it was no exception. The technicians were really nice, the place was very clean, and we were comfy cozy in our cushy chairs as we had our toe nails made beautiful. I had the best massage I've ever had in my life here. I'd give The Oxford club 10 stars if I could. My husband and I came to Denver to relax for our first wedding anniversary and The Oxford Club delivered the relaxation. We started first with a couples massage, which as I have said was unbelievably good. My therapist was named Michael and my husband's was Maya both were amazing. Everything the therapists did I've never experienced during a massage but it was the best, I especially liked after they were done with your neck and back they put a warm pillow under your neck. Next we moved on to pedicure, which was so awesome too. The technicians were really fun to talk to and did an awesome job on our feet. All in all we had a great spa day at The Oxford. This is not for any of the Oxford Club's spa or salon services; but more a review for their front desk staff. I came there because I was out of my Dermologica toner and sunscreen and the Oxford is listed on their site as one of the places that's a carrier of the brand. I went yesterday and I guess they stopped carrying it!!! One of the girls called around to other local athletic clubs to see if they carried it; and one of the other girls scoured through their leftovers and managed to scrounge up the sunscreen I needed. Talk about awesome customer service! While I'm not sure their services are in my price range or if I'd ever get a massage done there (Elixir kind of owns my soul), thumbs up to their awesomely helpful staff! read more
