I travel a lot due to business and I'm not always able to keep the appointments as needed and even with that the results still stand I can only image if I were to do it the correct way. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS in 2012 and shortly after that I made the decision to look for place that I could trust with my face most importantly. As I was starting to get raised bums on the side of my face and chin, that I can not fix with waxing or plucking. I initially started with Alex and she is amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and explained the procedures carefully to me. For me there was some stinging in certain parts of my face but nothing that was out of control. It last a few seconds and then it goes away. Later on, Chantel took over of my care and she has been just as amazing. I love the results so much that I bought a package for my stomach. And even though, I have not completely the treatment the hair on my stomach is nearly gone and what has come back is very light, how it used to be. The hair on my face is a bit more stubborn, but even there the hair is light and no bums. Since, I'm not able to go back right now, I've just been shaving it like they taught me and my face is clear. Yes, the treatment can be a bit expensive, but believe me it's worth every penny. They also often have special, so take advantage. My first visit was a walk-in, I said I was looking to get a manicure done and the greeter asked if I meant pedicure. I get that's more common for men, but not what I was there for. So they go to get a tech and come back a minute later, bringing me to a station in the back corner of the salon. The polish shelves nearby were the kids polish, I assume she does all the kids and men who don't get polish usually. She never asked about polish, never offered to pick a color, nothing... even though we talked about polish colors I've worn before multiple times. When she said she was finished and I replied I haven't even seen the polish colors they have, she apologized and got the swatch ring. My second visit was an appointment, I arrived and clearly specified I had an appointment for a manicure with polish. Again I was asked if I meant pedicure, but when I said no I was brought to a manicure station and given the swatch ring immediately. The tech was nice, we talked a little but I thought it was a bit weird the base coat bottle looked old, its labeling was entirely worn off. I assumed they must refill from other bottles, but didn't say anything. Within 36 hours the polish started peeling off. Within 7 days more than half had peeled off of 8 fingers. I called back the second day to let them know, I got an AI answering system who said a manager would call back. No response. I texted the number I received texts from - AI response asking for photos which I sent and was told they'd be forwarded to a manager and I'd get a callback. Nothing. I tried both again a few days later, no response. Two weeks later I am back in the area and try calling again, I'm given the option by AI to hold for a manager. Someone picks up, I ask if it's a manager and get the response that yes he is the manager, asking how he can help. I explain the problem with the polish, he says to come in, they'll redo the manicure for me. I said I didn't have time for a manicure, and didn't need a full service but if they could just redo the polish for me I'd be happy with that. He said OK, and I went in 15 minutes later. They brought me to a different tech who filed my nails to reshape them and then polished them, then I went to the register and the manager came over... not who I talked to, that was their receptionist/greeter. The manager berated me for "waiting weeks without doing anything" saying that they warranty gel for 2-3 days and don't warranty polish at all. He wanted to charge me full price for the service that I was told would be covered, I showed him the call logs and text messages and he eventually comped the cost then re-emphasized they would never warranty regular polish in the future, that it's only meant to last a few days. Funny, because normally I get at least 2 weeks with nothing but a minor chip on a corner with almost every other manicure or DIY polishing!
