Roy was absolutely amazing and very gentle with my nervous Frenchie. Roy did an amazing job and even let me stay with my Puppy throughout the process. We definitely will be returning to see Roy. I could not get anyone to answer and I decided to go to the location in Tukwila to check the status of my dog. I was told at 4:45 pm that my pet had been bathed and was dry now they were going to do the grooming. If they would have answered their phone after calling 3 times I could have at least been informed of the status of my pet. I tried to respond to the text they sent me at 1 pm and I got a response that I cannot send text messages to that number. Normally it takes 2-3 hours and that would be fine if I could have communicated with them. I am waiting in the parking lot for the them to finish grooming. The groomer Stephanie could have been more understanding. It was as if she was uncomfortable with me checking in on the status of my pet. I will not be returning to this location. I do not feel valued as a customer.

I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here.

From the front desk, all the way back to the groomers they're always so professional, and Mila is always so extremely eager and happy to go there; that says so much. I was not going to bring her to Puyallup from Burien so I looked for another groomer. I went to Pet Smart in Burien. They schedule Nova for the following Friday (today 3/27/2026) at 2:30. They knew the type of dog because they asked the questions. They quoted $90 - $120. Got home, called the son asked him what he had paid in the past, he said about $200. Today I arrive at Pet Smart at 2:25. They take one look at Nova and say this will take about 5 hours, we don't have enough time cause they over booked and they are closing today at 6:00, because they are having their floors redone. Sounds like bullshit. If your quote was low just say so I would have gladly paid more. It is a lot of work and I am willing to pay or you could have got it started and schedule another day to finish the job. So since they did not call to tell me they overbooked (bullshit) and they proved to be unreliable I went to The Wash Dog in White Center. I had the Nova with me and they booked me for this coming Tuesday and are charging $275 + the tip that I will give. These employees at The Wash Dog actually seemed to care more, but I guess when you are a small business you probably try to provide better customer service then a big box store. I highly recommend you pass on Pet Smart and try The Wash Dog in White Center. I will let you all know how it went and post a picture of The Wash Dog results, next week.

We always use Michelle and she is INCREDIBLE with our two Long Hair Chihuahuas and has excellent grooming skills. She is always attentive to our needs and listens to us in knowing what kind of cuts we want for our dogs. They always come out smelling good and looking great! Five stars for Michelle! The staff there is always friendly and kind and getting an appointment is not too hard. The customer service has been excellent. In the summer time, there can be longer wait times. We have never had any problems, and I highly recommend the Burien Petsmart for grooming, and get Michelle if you can!

It was the worst animal filth smell I've ever encountered.. and I worked in an animal hospital. I know I should have turned right around but my kitty was with me and she was so matted. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm not going to go into detail about how strange this woman was because that is just a personal opinion. But let me tell you... she's a hot mess and she doesn't truly care for animals. ANYWAY - I dropped my cat off a little before 11am for a bath and a shave. At 5:45pm, I still had not heard from this lady. So I called and was told 25 more minutes. When I arrived half an hour later - She was still not finished. She was holding my cat on her back by the scruff and rather agressively shaving her with the clippers. I was feeling terrible but since I've not seen this process - I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was standard procedure or not. When she finished, she put my cat back in her kennel and handed her to me. I noticed immediately that her nose was bleeding. I mentioned it to the woman and she said that it was not bleeding that it was just an "abrasion." She said my cat must have pushed her face against the bars in her kennel. That is NOT her personality. She's a very laid back feline. I wanted to get the hell out of this disgusting hole of a place - So I paid her the un-earned $65 fee and drove home. The entire time I drove I was apologizing to my cat for being such a bad mama & taking her there. After I got home - I could see what a terrible job she did. Not only was the front of my cat's nose scraped and bleeding.. but one whole side of her whiskers were almost completely cut off. Cutting off cat's whiskers is NOT good for them. Her fur was also shaved so horribly - It looked like a 5 year old with a blindfold on did it. This place is disgusting and should be shut down. She cut my cat's face and whiskers and I wish I had not given her a penny (I included a photo on here)

They are responsible for the death of our puppy!…read more We brought our puppy, Yoshi, to Pretty Paws in Burien to be groomed. He was there for 5 hours when we received a call that we needed to come and rush him to the vet because of breathing problems. He ended up having to be euthanized due to a "strangulation incident" that resulted in a pulmonary edema, from which he could not recover. We are heartbroken, and sickened, by the lack of any sort of compassion from the owner. She has taken no responsibility, nothing. PLEASE think twice before taking your pets here!
