I came by with my girlfriend and her friend after lunch to get some ice cream. The ice cream at Braum's is nostalgic to me through my early life and at the one near campus for me in college. This time I got a twist of their soft serve frozen yogurt because I wanted something soft. It was made and served to me by the staff right then and there, and it was excellent. No complaints. Weirdly, the music inside was easy listening covers of 60s pop songs like Yesterday by the Beatles. Made Braum's feel like a fever dream. The ice cream hit the spot though! And one step in Malcolm's gives you a sense of the 1950s/1960s Amarillo that you've read stories about! We brought our kids here when they were babies and they've grown up enjoying it! And I enjoyed it before then, even in high school. Malcolm's has been a mainstay in Amarillo's landscape for decades and I'm glad it's not going anywhere!
