The R&Co Detangly Hair is my favorite. ***** My personal journey with Nikki: Nikki always first listens to what I would like to do with my hair, which often entails "go lighter", and follows with her feedback on what is feasible. It is important to listen to her feedback because not only will she illuminate you on what she can do with your hair, but she will also caution, if not turn down, any ideas that could cause irreversible damage to your hair, or even significant hair loss. At the end of your appointment, Nikki will also advise on hair care between visits, and keeping up with hair care is the key to seeing results, not just one time, but consistently. I can say after 9 years, my hair is still thick and luscious, despite all attempts to "go lighter" (and natural aging) because I follow Nikki's hair care instructions. I visit about 3-4 times a year, so each visit, I typically get the whole nine yards - from haircut, base, balayage highlights, toner to Olaplex. I am usually there for seven hours, so if you are scheduled for the same services, just take the day off from work, unless you schedule a 5am appointment (Yes, Nikki will get started that early!). The experience is still the same as described in my previous reviews. Included in the price tag, aside from services, are experience and consistency of high-quality delivery. I would rather pay $50-$100 more per visit and walk out beyond satisfied than to pay $50-$100 less per visit and walk out completely dissatisfied. Just like skin, your hair is worth the investment too. It frames your head, whether you are meeting in-person or over video. Last thing I will point out is that hair color can look different, depending on the lighting. When I go lighter, my hair looks more ashy under certain artificial lighting, but it looks more caramel and honey out under the sun. Keep that in mind when you sit down with Nikki to talk through what you want.
