The ambiance is great when it's busy, however most of the time I go into Ty's it's pretty vacant. It would be awesome to see it thrive. The food is incredible and it is cooked in house all times of the day and the bartenders really know how to make a good meal! My last note is I wish the pool tables were open and people could pay as they play that way people can use their own queue balls for practicing with full size balls! However, the main concern is that when the tables get stuck it takes extra time out of the bartenders time to constantly unlock the tables with keys. Sometimes it can be every single game of pool. So it just flat out isn't my place for pool practice let alone a place to play pool with friends.

Since we were short on time, I finally went to the server at the bar and asked if she knew how much longer it might be. She guessed it could be another 15-20 minutes but admitted she hadn't actually checked with the cook. I asked if she could please confirm the status, and she said she would. Instead, nearly 10 minutes passed while she remained at the bar chatting and laughing with the bartender, and we still received no update. At that point, we decided to leave and walked to Foodies to place an order instead. As we were almost to the entrance, the owner or manager from Soi came outside and yelled down the street asking if we were going to pay for our food. Had anyone checked on us during the 40+ minutes we waited or communicated the status of our order, we would have happily stayed and paid when the food was ready. What made the situation even stranger was that she then followed us to Foodies, came inside after we'd placed our order, and waited there until we received our food and left. It was honestly one of the most bizarre customer service experiences I've ever had. We're big supporters of local small businesses, which makes this even more disappointing. Slow service can happen, but a complete lack of communication, followed by being yelled at in public and then seemingly followed to another restaurant, was completely unacceptable.

The Dive has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Richland! I usually sit outside with my two doodle dogs, and the outdoor seating area is perfect -- plenty of space, grass, and a super relaxed vibe. It's such a dog-friendly spot, which is a huge plus. I've started making it my Tuesday tradition to stop by for happy hour, and it never disappoints. The happy hour burger is always on point, and the thin, crispy fries are hands down some of the best I've had. Add in great service and a laid-back atmosphere, and it's tough to beat. The hash browns were cooked perfectly to order at extra crispy all the way through. The bread is 'value' bread and nothing special. This feels like it once housed a Dennys in its past life with the slanted roof, but I am told it was just a product of the time. There are about a dozen booths and equal amount of tables. For an older building, verything was clean and tidy. Pricing is typical of WA state these days. It's a solid stop if traveling through the area.

My wife recently ordered the "signature" Fish Tacos from 3 Eyed Fish, and to call this a "fish…read moretaco" is a massive stretch. In reality, it's a raw cabbage taco with a hint of fish essence--or perhaps a cabbage taco with a fish surprise, if you're lucky. After she gave up and ate just one, she brought the rest home. I actually measured the piece of fish inside: a staggering 1.5 inches by 1 inch. That was it. One single, tiny nugget per taco, buried at the very bottom of the shell. Because of this, you have to choke down several mouthfuls of completely raw cabbage before you finally reach your single bite of fish. To make matters worse, that one bite of fish was terrible. They apparently brine it in a way that leaves it aggressively, unpalatably salty. While the menu claims the taco comes with "slaw," it is just heaps of dry, raw cabbage. There was so much of it that you couldn't even see the three corn tortillas until you went digging through the vegetation. The sheer lack of seafood in a "signature" fish dish is appalling. Save your money--unless you really, really love overpriced plates of shredded cabbage.
