Went there for a late lunch. There were only a couple of tables occupied. The server told me to sit wherever I liked. She took my order immediately and the food came quickly. My tri-tip "sammich" was juicy with just the right amount of horseradish and barely enough au jus. The onion rings (a $2 upgrade) were house made, thick and crisp, and delicious. We ordered specialty cocktails and the bartender knew her recipes and pour counts really well. The cocktails were amazing. They played rock music and it matched the atmosphere of the bar. This is a great little spot located pretty deep into Richland. Their location is a little unfortunate in my opinion as it's not super close to anything. The name made me pretty unsure what I was getting into, but The Dive is not what you think of when you think about your typical "dive bar." They have a pretty diverse menu with a bunch of burgers and sandwiches, salads, and pastas. I decided on the pulled pork sandwich, hoping that would be easiest on my stomach before a flight. It was very good - I added pickles to it, which made it even better. The coleslaw needed some seasoning, but was a good balance to the pork. Their fries are absolutely top notch, and unlike most that you see. They're almost like a steak fry, but not exactly. Phenomenal. I also had the Tieton Cranberry Cider to drink, which was amazing. I'm hoping to track down a case of it. The place was pretty empty on a Tuesday afternoon with us and about 2-3 other parties. Our waitress was quick, informative, and super friendly. Hands down, the best Pastrami Sandwich in the Tri-Cities (Reuben's of all Reuben's). There are a few others that can hold a candle to it, but I go out of my way to devour this one. Kari is always on point, as well as their entire staff. I've never had a bad experience. I'll try and remember to take a picture next time, but once that sandwich arrives....game over. A little off the beaten path, but worth looking for. The food was delicious and our server was exceptional and very pleasant. Loved the music videos, don't ever lose them. The Reuben was exceptional! We stopped by for a quick drink after finishing the Reactor B afternoon tour, but the onion rings were excellent - hot and house-made. The beer - made for The Dive by local brewer Bombing Range Brewing - was also refreshingly hoppy. Super friendly and caring waitress, who took good care of us and checked back regularly even when it was clear we were just doing a sort of "happy hour" stop. When I'm back in Richland, this would definitely be a stop for a full lunch. read more

After searching the Tri-Cities for breakfast and lots of hangry interactions we ended up at The Dive. We missed breakfast but a bar hamburger is always a good idea on a Sunday morning. Our server was so friendly, the music was great, it was nice and cool inside, and just dark enough for a "hungry, rolled out of bed" Sunday meal. I can't believe this place has been open for 7 years and I'm just now visiting! First off, most of Sunday is apparently happy hour! Next, the fried pickles dipped in the sauce are crunchy with a bit of heat and a wonderful zing. The loco moco was one of my favorites and I'm pretty sure the wall posters were taken from a box of my younger years collectibles including 3 band concert flyers I literally hung on my wall as a young adult. Had the Tri-Tip Dip with fries. Appreciated the bread being thinner and not overwhelming. The meat was perfect and had a hint of rosemary. The horseradish was just right, not too much heat. Au jus was not overly salty, nice flavor. Service staff were attentive, friendly and service was quick. We sat outside on the patio. From wings, onion rings , and Poutine to pasta, burgers, sandwiches and amazing looking salads, you'll be sure to find something you'll love. We yOpted to share two appetizers, the poutine and the friend pickles. Now, fried pickles are not usually something I'd pick, but WOW! They did not disappoint! The poutine! Oh man ! A generous helping and so so good! As for drinks we both tried a margarita. I had the blackberry and my husband had a regular. For the price and quality we were quite pleased! The service , amazing! We are always looking for new places that pop up in Tri cities with cool new vibes. Tonight we decided to give The Dive a try and we were so glad we did. What a cool new place with a great vibe. We went about 6:30 on Saturday and the place was buzzing (that is always a good sign). They offer both in door and outdoor seating--we found a fun little table in the corner and the staff did a fantastic job making sure we were not forgotten. Drinks came quick--all though I wasn't a huge fan of the Mai Tai, my girlfriend loved her Mule. The food was an awesome take on bar food. We both had a Cuban w/ fries. AWESOME! The fries were a different take on the steak fry and the fry sauce was spot on. The pork on the Cuban was nothing short of stellar and the bun was perfect. We'll definitely be going back! read more

I love the food and drinks here, but sadly we won't be back. When we picked up our last order, the server who brought us our food had her mask down under her nose, and came super close with her face to my window. When we asked her if she would please put her mask on her nose, she gave us a very dirty look. I understand that wearing a mask isn't the most comfortable, but it's very simple to do and is legally required here. If they can't follow this simple safety procedure, it gives one pause as to what other food handling and safety procedures they may not be following. I'm still giving them three stars, though, because they make some tasty stuff. If you're not worried about sanitation and safety, then don't let my review deter you. read more
