It's a cozy spot with a great purpose - their mission is to donate 100% of profits back to charitable organizations in the community. Amazing! I ordered a flat white and a sausage breakfast burrito. Love that they have food options beyond pastries (which they also have, along with egg bites, baked goods, etc.). They did not take my name but brought my order out to my table. The flat white was delicious and perfectly hot, and the breakfast burrito was very similar to the breakfast burritos at McDonald's (in a good way, because I do like those). It was a generous size so I was fueled up for my long travel day. The space has plenty of seating and the wifi was quick. They have a section of bulk candy bins which I thought was interesting and unique. If I lived in the area, this would be a go-to spot! read more

It's too bad. I've had a great latte here before, but every single time it's different. The 16oz iced latte getting 4 pumps of sweetener is actually insane. I got it half sweet and it was just so so sweet I'm trying to figure who the target demographic is. It's usually the nationwide franchises that are going overly sweet, and it's just surprising to see that in a "neighborhood" shop. They have gluten free options like egg bites and burritos which is so nice, I usually can't grab a meal at most places. They are close to the mark but the sweetness of their drinks is just so ridiculous I hope they can adjust!! read more

I heard of this place but never went in. I finally had a chance and was very pleased. is delicious. I went in with my small dog(in my carry bag) and the owner was so nice and we started talking our dogs which share the same name. She also told me the cafe is named for her dodog, which the nick named pamplemousse. How ssweet. Anyways, the service was great as well. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Pamplemousse is the most perfect example of not judging a book by its cover located on Mamaroneck Ave in Downtown White Plains. From the outside, you will never know what a cute café this is with lots more natural elements. There are cafés and then there are cafés. Pamplemousse fits the last one. And, these folks are pushing the envelope with a social conscience and giving back to the local community. For a super early 8ish Sunday morning, I beat the traffic AND found parking right in front. Any later, and I would've been out of luck. The folks at Pamplemousse take their coffee to heart. Since I haven't been a coffee drinker for a very long time, I decided on a Ghirardelli hot chocolate as my drink of choice. And since I'm focusing more on protein, the Vegetarian egg bites (2 per order) called me and so did the Chocolate+Pecan+Nut Protein Balls. I just couldn't bypass their Chocolate Truffles and boy do they have variety. The key lime was my favorite as it was more pronounced. The Salted Caramel was good- so was the Raspberry-filled. As someone who doesn't eat meat, the menu here is super creative- case in point, the vegetarian egg bites and protein chocolate balls. Service was phenomenal. What a nice little spot to pass the time on a rainy day. I was pleasantly surprised by the options-- far more variety than your usual coffee shop. Extra pleased that there was a savory option- egg bites! They also have gluten free baked goods- including some delicious mini almond cookies. This is an interesting place. I've tried a lot of their drinks, pastries and chocolates. They close early, so if you want to stop by I'd recommend stopping by earlier in the day when they have more food options. This place can get quite busy during the day; it can be difficult to find a seat inside. I'd recommend their coffee and their quiche. During the warmer months, you can sit outside too. The Pamplemousse Project has been on my radar for a while now. When I first heard it was opening in Downtown White Plains, I was initially confused as to what type of business it actually was. Would it have something to do with grapefruit? What is this project they speak of? What do they mean by "The"? So many questions with so little answers. When I eventually learned that Pamplemousse was a coffee shop, I instantly got excited; I have been waiting for more independent coffee shops to come to the city, and it seemed like I was getting my wish. I was recently walking down Mamaroneck Ave and noticed it was finally open, so I decided to stop in and check them out. Pamplemousse is in a prime location, right on the Mamaroneck Ave strip in the heart of downtown. They are somewhat unique concept, as all of their profits are donated to charity (their website fully describes their business model). I *loved* the vibes as soon as I walked in - white exposed brick paired with a combination of stools and comfy chairs where you can sit and enjoy your treats. Further back was the ordering counter, followed by another seating area. The overall aesthetics were really speaking to me, I can totally see myself sitting here getting work done. Pamplemousse is primarily a coffee shop, and the menu has a good variety of hot and cold coffee beverages. I also noticed display cases of baked goods, chocolate confections, as well as selections of proprietary bagged coffee, bulk candy, and some other miscellaneous seasonal merchandise. I was looking for a beverage, so I decided to order a cappuccino to go. I was given my choice of milk, sweetener, and whether or not I wanted cinnamon added (mmm yes). They also asked if I wanted to join their loyalty program which, was a hard yes from me. Before I knew it my beverage was ready, and they even included a small chocolate candy sample. The cappuccino was great - not too hot with just enough sweetness. Service was excellent - the staff was warm, friendly, and really elevated my time here from a visit to an experience. Overall, The Pamplemousse Project is a total yes - this is exactly what White Plains needs, and I wish nothing but the best for this new business. A cafe you have to try! Walking on Mamk Ave, I walked past it but did a 360 turn and went inside. Reading about their mission and contribution to the community, I knew I had to support. A cute little coffeeshop in the middle of White Plains. It's a warm environment inside and the staff are very friendly. They have a decently large menu with some pastries and chocolates available, in addition to drinks. I have enjoyed the everything croissant and the mochaccino muffin, which pairs nicely with a warm drink in the winter months. My go-to drink is a matcha latte so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they used Uji ceremonial matcha. I typically order an extra hot matcha latte with almond milk, so of course had to try it here. I will say that the powder is more on the bitter side compared to other coffeeshops I have previously frequented and I wish they would use more powder so that the flavor was stronger. I'd recommend adding some complimentary honey packets to balance out the bitterness. Overall a nice spot to get some work done and have a midday treat! We were starving and were happy to get a salad (for me) and a tasty almond croissant (for my husband). Plus they have this darling display of all the candy you would ever want, so I made a little grab bag for the next day of driving. The coffee was delicious and it turns out the whole enterprise is a not-for-profit just for the community! What an awesome idea. I wish my town had one. The Pamplemousse Project has my highest recommendation for cafes around the area. The aesthetics is great. There is exposed brick with white paint over them. Wooden tables with nice lighting. Not too crowded in a Saturday morning. The place is rather new it seems, so it's pretty clean. The bathroom is very clean. Music is more on the classical and instrumental style (not pop music or some generic cafe playlist). Service is great. Coffee is made quickly enough. They deliver your drink at your table, which is such a small but very much appreciated service. Their small iced Americano comes out to only $3.85 and has 4(!!) shots of espresso. It tastes not too bitter and very smooth. The only cons are parking and tables next to exposed brick have no outlets. I was so excited to discover a new cafe open up in the area. Cafes are my second home, and they are great places to relax, study, work, or catch up with friends. Eager for another excuse to drink coffee, my friend and I ventured to White Plains on a Saturday morning to see what The Pamplemousse Project was all about. 《Ambience》 The inside of the cafe is very homey and modern. I loved how much natural light illuminated the front half of the cafe, essentially making it feel extra warm and homey. Most people chose to enjoy their coffee and goods in this area for obvious reasons. If natural light is not your thing, no worries. This cafe extends past the register to a relatively dimmer area, next to the bathrooms. Exposed white brick spans the walls and there are plenty of short and high tables to sit in. This is where I sat, since it had an outlet. Not all tables have outlets available, so look out for the ones that do if you need it. One thing that bugs me about some cafes is their choice of music. Sometimes it's too loud, boring radio-friendly pop, or the same songs on repeat. On my first visit this cafe was none of those things. They played classical/jazz music at an appropriate volume, and it was great to study to. Your experience may vary depending on who is playing music for the day though. 《Service》 Aside from ordering my coffee from the front counter, I didn't engage much with the staff. However, I noticed they were really nice to customers and even went out of their way to be of assistance. I also noticed little cards on the tables that had a QR code on them. It allows you to order from your table and they'll bring your order to you. I didn't use this feature, but it sounds pretty neat. 《The Goods》 I ordered a flat white while my friend ordered an iced americano. Although my favorite flat white comes from Two Guns Espresso in California, I thought this was decent. I actually really liked my friend's iced americano, and he did too. It was bold and smooth. Overall, The Pamplemousse Project exceeded my expectations for a new cafe. I can't wait to come back. I could only hope it stays my hidden gem, but considering how many customers I saw come in the couple of hours I was there, I don't think it will stay hidden for long. read more

What a fabulous and noble concept! This is a coffee shop and cafe in which all profits go to local charities. I met friends for breakfast and loved the Pamplemousse Project immediately. Sidewalk seating with colorful chairs is an option at times. Inside, the atmosphere invites you to linger; there are high ceilings, relaxing background music, and plenty of space to sit and catch up with others, and display case of delicate croissants and scrumptious muffins that beckons to one's appetite. There are also artisan chocolates which are just so exquisite and candy jars along the wall that brings out the child in all of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of my friends had the Everything Croissant, and he couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was. I had the chicken chorizio burrito, which was so flavorful with a nice kick from the chiles. As with most, I wish these would have the quality of almost any cappuccino in Italy, one that some US and hotels occasionally can deliver as well. This would be a great target to aim for. I came here looking for a good coffee. I asked for an iced latte light and sweet, and the barista asked how many sugars I wanted... Not very good coffee - It was really strong and I can't taste the sugar. I wish she had asked she did not know what light and sweet was if she did not know because I couldn't enjoy my coffee at all. Other than that, the place is really pretty and modern, and the barista was nice. Perhaps could have more food offers? The first couple sips seemed OK, but now halfway through the cup the defects are shining though, not bitter, but a prominent sour note in there. The almond croissant was atrocious. Was sitting in a bulk box of croissants, so was soggy and chewy, killing any chance at flakiness. The almond filling was lacking in flavor. For a lover of almond croissants, facing a bland mushy croissant is terrible. A large brewed coffee and the croissant were over $10, which seems high. No prices posted on the wall menu. read more

1 star for an attempt to be courteous but an epic fail just wasted $12 on a caramel macchiato that i specifically asked for extra caramel to make it sweet, it was gross but i was told if i wanted extra caramel to let them know I did and still it was gross, i also ordered a cheese danish which they warmed and it was greasy so now the cheese is gone, they advised either it's cold refrigerated or cold which neither is suitable for a cheese danish, it's a room temperature pastry so overall i tossed both the danish and the coffee just got a sorry no attempt to made to provide with another option and i told them it was my first time as i took a little longer to order but, these are young untrained baristas they had no desire to provide customer service, awful for a rainy friday morning. read more
