Got a birthday cake on the whim from this location. It is a off shoot of Paris Baguette. Very pleasant looking cakes. Overall the taste was average. Too sugary and not refined more for presentation than taste. A lot of cream, sugar, butter, etc. The tastes were more about over whelming you than refined for this price point. The cake felt more like an assembly line product than an artisan creation. Also, very limited selection. I asked for a few standard other variations and was very surprised they did not know what they were for a wanna be French pastry shop. The presentation, box and utilities they provide for birthdays was very nice. It was also very pricey. Overall, mixed feeling. Not sure if I will get another cake from them. Tous Les Jours may be a chain, but it has never disappointed. This location was no different--beautiful, clean, modern, well-lit, with a peaceful ambiance. We tried to patronize a local coffee shop, but their espresso machine was down, leading us here. We ordered the soy tiramisu latte, light milk and the shakerato with light vanilla. They were both super delish. The barista was kind and glad to accept our modifications. We returned later in the day for a snack and my favorite, the sweet frank roll and tried the mini croissant-wrapped bulgogi sausages, which were great savory options. The staff was equally friendly. Coffee was good. They could not toast the bagels and didn't have butter. They would not cut the bagels in half. It is really a self serve bakery posing as a coffee shop. No butter no jam no cutting no toasting. Since all the did was make the coffee, which is a bare minimum. No real "service, unless you count operation of their "square". I can't tell you how THRILLED I was to find a place where I can get a lavender latte. For the last few months I just haven't been able to get enough of these and now I've found a delicious, new local spot that can satisfy my craving! My friend, who attends Pole Position (the pole dancing studio) across the street, took me in to grab a hot drink on a rainy day. Tous Les Jours was brightly lit and had some of the prettiest pastries I've seen! We grabbed some cinna-cloud bites and a spinach-feta danish, but I told myself I would be back for the macaroons! The girl behind the counter (I wish I had gotten her name) was super sweet and gave great recommendations for our drinks. She also was warmed up all of our treats and was also our barista; everything tasted delicious. I just realized this placed open a store in the center of White plains. I believe my daughters go to the one inside the H mart but now they're so excited to have one right at our door step. Tous le jour Its a french asian inspire bakery with a light and inviting atmosphere. From moment you walk in you see the beautiful and delicious looking displays of the Pasteries. How it works is you serve yourself, by taking a tray, tongs and parchment paper and bring it to the register to pay. Love Tous Les Jours! So surprised to see one open up right in white plains. Went during the grand opening and was able to receive 2 glass mugs which I still use now. Have stopped by a few times and I often come after work with friends because it's located right on Mamaroneck street. Some of my favorite pastries include: purple Ube bread, pretzel pastry, any of the soft cream cake slices, strawberry croissant with cream, all of the hot dog sandwiches. For drinks: tea lattes, just grab the tea flavor at the front and hand it to the cashier, strawberry latte, cappuccino, all of the drinks are good! This location has a good amount of tables and seats and they also offer free parking which is super complicated. The staff is very nice and helpful. read more

Day 1: Escape from NYC to Bear Mountain and Westchester County Eatery 2 of 2 Dusk had fallen and I was hungry. I had spent the afternoon with a friend visiting the Palisades area of New Jersey, Bear Mountain, and Sleepy Hollow. What's amazing about all these places is that they are so close to New York City as the crow flies, yet feel like another world. I maneuvered the car toward White Plains's compact downtown area. In driving up and down a Mamaroneck Avenue, a name that I have always gotten a kick out of, I saw quite a few places to get a meal or eat a snack. However, none of them really appealed to me. Tous Les Jours, a French bakery, was still open and looking bright, in addition to having a free parking space right in front of it. We went in and, while my friend only ordered tea, I ordered a hot tea and a slice of cake. There was one cake flavor that sounded delicious, but they had run out of it. I settled for what, to me, would have been the next best flavor for a slice - mango. It was tasty. The interior is very clean and inviting. I will say that the prices are a little high. After all, you are in Westchester County. With their approaching closing time, they also weren't as invested in their service. It's obvious that Tous Les Jours is a chain. When in greater Houston's Bay Area on its south side, I asked about a place to get coffee, a snack, and be able to open up one's laptop. A nearby Tous Les Jours was recommended to me, but I didn't make it. It might be interesting to see how a Houston area location might differ. I'm giving Tous Les Jours a solid 3 stars. Maybe this store could move up to 4 stars pursuant additional familiarization, which isn't really that feasible for me. Some of their other stores far and wide might already be at 4 stars. I found a few things funny and interesting. Up in Westchester County, you are unlikely to run into people who have that NYC working class accent that America has a field day with. And, for that, they didn't even have to go to charm school ... they were just raised that way. The other thing in this less dense and forested area with sticker shock at every turn is that verdant parkways will separate their lanes of opposing traffic to make for a service area in the middle of them, which is something you would never see on the big concrete freeways anywhere near my native Los Angeles! Also, "tous les jours" means "every day" in French. That's funny, too, because "eating at Tous Les Jours every day will not keep the doctor away." That's just how it is - the richest and tastiest things aren't always the best for you. Lastly, upon driving back on the Cross County and Henry Hudson Parkways into the west side of Manhattan, we lucked into a free parking space along Riverside Avenue for that night. Again, Tous Les Jours in downtown White Plains gets 3 stars from me. That definitely means I'm not complaining. read more

The ambiance and decor in this location is very relaxed and comfortable. I would definitely work from this location if I worked remotely. I stopped in for a quick sweet treat with my girlfriend yesterday. We got the tiramisu latte and the strawberry crème croissant. The latte was amazing and tasted like a real matcha The croissant was also delightful, very airy and easy to eat, not too sweet, it was perfect! The service was really fast especially with the amount of people there at the time we went. They had the cutest seating area outdoors too! I'm somewhat familiar with Tous Les Jours but cannot pinpoint the exact times I've tried their pastries. One of my colleagues must have brought a cake or something from them for an at-work event, because I'm associating them with work for some reason. Anyway, I noticed that a new TLJ was opening in downtown White Plains and put it on my radar to check out. I was in the mood for a little pastry the other night so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check them out. This TLJ is located on the ground level of one of the (many) new residential buildings popping up in White Plains. The space is lovely - it's bright and open with a lot of space to browse the pastries and several tables to sit and enjoy your bakes. Part of the pastries are self-serve - there are display cases situated in the middle of the space and you grab a tray to pick the ones you want; you then pay and can either stay and enjoy or take them to go. They also have a display case behind the counter which houses their cakes and refrigerated pastries; this is also where you can order beverages (mostly coffee-aligning). They have a food selection of breads, sweet and savory pastries, macarons, and cakes. I decided to pick up a few items to sample: a blueberry cream cheese pastry, milk bread, and a slice of orange cake. The pastry was good - the right amount of flake and good filling ratio. The milk bread was somewhat dense with an almost pound cake consistency; I'm not sure if that was the intention but it had good flavor. The cake was my least favorite - it tasted a little off, I'm not sure that was the intention but I wasn't a fan. Service was good, everyone was friendly and all the bakes were packed well for transport. Overall, I'm glad TLJ opened in White Plains - honestly with all of the new residential developments coming to the city more places like this are needed. My hubby and I picked up desserts at this place last Thursday because we saw them giving out free samples in front of the establishment. Although we don't eat free samples anymore due to Covid we did go into the establishment to investigate their baked goods. Everything looked so delicious and I wished I could have purchase one of all of the desserts but I knew that wouldn't be practical because they would have spoiled before I had a chance to consume them. Nonetheless, my hubby purchased his apple strudel of sorts and I purchased a slice of strawberry cream pie and one slice of peach cream cake. They were both super delicious. I am definitely going back again to try the mango pie slice and some of the other flavors. If I lived next door to this place in the Mitchell building I would be at this place every day. While I was chatting with Stephanie the cashier; ordering my beautiful silky flavorful FRESH coffee beverage(HAZELNUT X BROWN SUGAR ICE LATTE WITH OAT MILK), I casually glanced through The Pamplemouse Project's window and noticed a long line forming at a former vacant commercial space; located at "The Mitchell" apartment the OVERLY ALARMINGLY HIGH PRICED rental apartments. I quickly analyzed the building and noticed the large storefront sign "Tous Les Jours"!!! With large bright windows being able to see the fine freshly baked goods and cakes... My eyes lit up and I was immediately filled with joy. (I immediately told Steph at the Pamplemouse to hold my drink as I casually crossed the street (passed my postal truck because I AM THE MAILMAN for the postal service!) to OBSERVE TOUS LES JOURS!! Grand opening!!! I immediately hopped on the long line and was just greeted with JOY.. I usually visit the H MART LOCATION ON CENTRAL AVE IN "Hartsdale, NY". But to have Tous Les Jous open close to my job!!!!!! It's just GODLIKE!! Especially across the street from the best smooth cafe!!! THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!!! The STAFF, PERFECT and Professional!!, THE BAKED GOODS FRESH, The seating area...PRISTINE CLEAN!!!The GRAND OPENING ... Successful!! Plus I was given a complimentary tumble to commemorate the festivities!!! I visited twice and ordered two FUDGE BROWNIES, A Fancy Hot Dog and a Honey Lemonade... Seriously just have a slice of their cake.... PS : They quickly ran out of Topeka Balls (those small black bobo balls you with fill the bottom of your fancy beverages with).
