She had the biggest fake finger nails on and due to the store policy, she had to peel off all the plastics off of my watch (to prevent reselling she said). She probably left several micro scratches on the watch while doing that because of her fake nails. And what I wrote above so far wasn't even the worst of my experience. Apparently, I was supposed to bring the original credit card I gave them 6 months ago when I pre-ordered the watch(?). I was not told this at all. All they told me was that a credit card was required for them to process the preorder. During the 6 months, I had to cancel and have the card reissued due to a fraudulent transaction (unrelated to this purchase). The lady asked me for the credit card which I no longer had. Then she proceeded to indirectly accuse me of doing something illegal thru her body language and facial expression. That's how I felt anyway even though she did not directly say anything like that. I had to talk to someone in the back (I assume it was a manager) to sort this out (all she had to do was to check my ID and run the transaction onto my new credit card). This was about 4 years ago. I totally forgot about this horrific experience until today (I saw a wrist watch on TV and it randomly reminded me). Avoid this place. They also dangle Rolex watches in their display when they don't even have any for sale to public. Also who are they to tell me what I can what I cannot do with my watch? I am not even a reseller and I thought it was very out of line for them to require to peel off the plastic protectors. And if this is a requirement, the workers here shouldn't be allowed to have long fake nails either. They are lucky I am not picky about little scratches. Places like this totally got me lose interest in watches. I guess I should thank them for saving me thousands last 4years. Btw, I took the watch and got the bracelet resized at their Bellevue location. And they totally butchered one of the links while removing it. Even this, I will add that they are lucky, I don't care too much about things like this. The only good thing from all this was that the watch is beautiful and I still wear it frequently. It was a gift for myself for turning 40, which this store almost ruined.

My bf went to Prestige Jewelry to get my diamond ring set. Because of the terrible job, he then took it to Eddie's to get it fixed. The second time the diamond did look more centered, but there's still a huge gap between the prong and the diamond. After we dropped the ring off, Prestige messaged us saying that the initial job was actually done through Eddie's, who they contract with. When I spoke to the jeweler who set my diamond, he admitted the diamond was set crooked the first time, but said he couldn't fix the gaps because the little diamonds on the prongs would fall out. I don't understand why anyone would touch fine jewelry if they can't do the job -- do a crappy job, and then hand it back to the customer -- instead of being honest upfront and saying, "this is going to be the outcome, do you still want to proceed?" That way, the customer can make the choice before their diamond and ring get messed with. On top of that, he told me, "if this semi-mount was customized to the ring then we could do it." It IS customized -- here are the measurements on the diamond reporting and CAD. Still, he insisted that if they touched it again, the small diamonds would fall out. He kept repeating that the diamonds would fall out -- but that's just an excuse. I even attached photos of a marquise diamond ring set in the exact same semi-mount from the same vendor -- little diamonds on the prongs and all -- and as you can see, it was set beautifully with no gaps. Clearly, it can be done properly if the jeweler has the skills. If they had been upfront from the beginning and we went to a jeweler who actually knew what they were doing, we wouldn't now be trying to find someone else to fix this mess -- all while we're trying to get engaged with this ring. Please don't go to Prestige Jewelry or Eddie's.

His quote for sizing my rings and replacing the lost diamond was unbeatable. He sized them perfectly and my rings, especially the one he replaced the diamond in, looked beautiful!!!! I cannot recommend this sweet man enough to work on your jewelry. He stays plenty busy, be patient depending on how much time it may take, it's worth it.

I took in a wedding ring crown that has 5 diamonds on it since I had lost one of the diamonds. Upon bringing it in, Josh let me know they could fix it and was already bagging it up without even giving a quote. I then asked for a quote since I'd gotten one from the original maker of the ring. I had let him know the quote he gave which was $390-425 was higher than what they quoted. But ultimately decided I'd rather have it fixed locally than send it out since I didn't want to wait (which I voiced verbally). He took a closer look and said they could do it for $425. I said okay because after shipping costs, it would only be ~$40 more than sending it to the maker. He said okay, and that he'd pick out the diamond today and I'd have it back the following week. 2 full weeks went by before it was ready so I was already a bit annoyed since that was likely the same turn around if I mailed it to the maker! But then when I went to pick it up, the price was $595+tax. I asked why the price difference (and refreshed his memory on our convo at drop off) and he just said okay we can do it for $495. So not only did it take just as long, but in the end after tax I spent over $100 more than what I would have spent if I sent it to the maker.

I tried to haggle as it is a cash only business, to which he added sales tax to the service. So just over 60 dollars for a battery change and one link put-on. I personally think he was overcharging $5-$10 per service performed (in this case, two). However, he is an expert with years of experience and one of the very few watch makers available in the area. Also, you don't have to ship your watch if you don't want to (like many places require nowadays). There are various ATM's close-by within walking distance. It took Mike about 15 minutes and I would recommend but, must know he is firm with his business and signs are posted that sales are final whether your watch works afterwards or not.

On this latest stop over, I picked up two bottles for a total of $130; apparently that same number of bottles would have been $40 more anywhere else! Customer service was good and I appreciated the heads up about a potential bag charge at the checkout so I could just chuck them in my backpack and keep it moving!
