I preordered a watch and went to pick it up 6 months later. The lady that helped me looked annoyed (I am guessing because she probably doesn't get commission for helping me). She had the biggest fake finger nails on and due to the store policy, she had to peel off all the plastics off of my watch (to prevent reselling she said). She probably left several micro scratches on the watch while doing that because of her fake nails. And what I wrote above so far wasn't even the worst of my experience. Apparently, I was supposed to bring the original credit card I gave them 6 months ago when I pre-ordered the watch(?). I was not told this at all. All they told me was that a credit card was required for them to process the preorder. During the 6 months, I had to cancel and have the card reissued due to a fraudulent transaction (unrelated to this purchase). The lady asked me for the credit card which I no longer had. Then she proceeded to indirectly accuse me of doing something illegal thru her body language and facial expression. That's how I felt anyway even though she did not directly say anything like that. I had to talk to someone in the back (I assume it was a manager) to sort this out (all she had to do was to check my ID and run the transaction onto my new credit card). This was about 4 years ago. I totally forgot about this horrific experience until today (I saw a wrist watch on TV and it randomly reminded me). Avoid this place. They also dangle Rolex watches in their display when they don't even have any for sale to public. Also who are they to tell me what I can what I cannot do with my watch? I am not even a reseller and I thought it was very out of line for them to require to peel off the plastic protectors. And if this is a requirement, the workers here shouldn't be allowed to have long fake nails either. They are lucky I am not picky about little scratches. Places like this totally got me lose interest in watches. I guess I should thank them for saving me thousands last 4years. Btw, I took the watch and got the bracelet resized at their Bellevue location. And they totally butchered one of the links while removing it. Even this, I will add that they are lucky, I don't care too much about things like this. The only good thing from all this was that the watch is beautiful and I still wear it frequently. It was a gift for myself for turning 40, which this store almost ruined. read more

Terrible business. I went it to purchase a watch, as I walked in I wasn't greeted. After walking around a lady asked if I needed assistance. I told her I'd like to look at a Rolex (as I am wearing one of my own). She then the proceeds to walk over toward my direction as if she didn't want go assist me. I said "ma'am is there way away that we can speed this process up, I have to catch a flight; dang". She says "no, and don't curse". I said "no one's cursing and I'm a custom that purchasing an item, you should treat me as such". I knew she was already racially profiling me as her whole demeanor and approach toward me didn't reflect me being a customer. I asked for the manager, which she was very "polite", I notified her and told her that the employee needs additional training course for customer service. Never judge or treat a book by its cover. When she showed me the Stainless steel 41mm DateJust, Wow, phenomenal timepiece. I tried on a few other 36mm DateJust watches, but after trying on this 41mm DateJust my thought came to this one the most. Setting Beautifully on my wrist,I was lucky to have this one waiting for me, because another person would have bought it. This was the last one, and they are low in stock. I found exactly what I was looking for which was a teddy bear pendant which I haven't been able to find one I like for months. However, while the three sales ladies we're chatting I was greeted by the security officer with his hand on his gun and I almost left right a way he walked across the store to confront me, I as standing at the "wait here to be assisted rope" patiently. I have shopped Ben Bridge since 1975 in the 'old' Bellevue Square. I bought a necklace and as time moved on, a number of other pieces. In 2016 I was fortune to meet Herb and to get to know him. Such an authentic and caring individual, one who in his 80's danced up flights of stairs when the elevator was down. Always positive and very professional. Came here with my fiancé today after got off work. We came in with the intention to try on some wedding bands for him. After coming straight to the mens wedding band section, we waited for 5 mins without getting acknowledged or helped at all. There was one salesperson right there, who was with another customer, so we understood that. But there were other people on the floor who could've helped us out or at least let us know that they can be with us in a few minutes. We even made eye contacts with some of them, but there was absolutely NO greeting NO acknowledgement from anybody in the store. We ended up leaving the store after 5mins. We loved ben bridge for their jewelry selection, but we will definitely never come back to this location again. I had a titanium ring that was broken within 90 days. Came to the store to get a replacement but Angie said no to me. She said it was my fault but clearly within 90 days there was a guarantee. Finally Phil helped me ordered a new one. Guess what, Angie didn't finalize the order so I had been waiting for 3 weeks until I complained to the corporate, and the manager called me to apologize. I had a tiny diamond fall out of my engagement ring, along with repairing some soldering to my wedding band - and I am always nervous to leave my ring with anyone because, obviously, my ring means a lot to me. However - if you go in looking for service, seriously, do yourself a favor and ask for Angie. Angie was amazing and made me feel so comfortable with trusting Ben bridge with my ring. She took care of me from start to finish and did EVERYTHING she could to provide exemplary customer service. She openly communicated with me from start to finish, even when I felt I was asking her anxiety induced questions. She honestly made me feel like I was working with an old friend. However - I just got my ring back and it looks FLAWLESS. I cannot stop staring at it and admiring it, it's as if it's brand new. I'm pretty shocked by the good reviews. Perhaps they had an off day? We went in to create an engagement ring wishlist - my future sister-in-law's bf is planning a proposal very soon and he wanted her to choose 3 rings so he could surprise her. We were very clear about this but I feel like they must not have taken us seriously. Perhaps we look young or maybe because we didn't come in with the guy who is actually purchasing, I don't know. I will say we were greeted properly and asked if we needed refreshments, so customer service started out good. We had a young man help us out and he was ok. Didn't explain a lot about options and diamonds but he was very friendly and showed us everything that we wanted. He just didn't seem very knowledgeable about engagement rings. We had him write down the rings she liked but since it was on a business card it was very hard to read and he didn't do it until we asked. Then they switched sales people on us! The older gentleman did not look like he wanted to help us at all. The younger man said the older gentlemen had more knowledge and transferred him over, but he didn't give us any more info than the young man! Plus when we asked him to write down the information on the ring she liked he made us do it! He just stood there looking sour because he knew he wasn't making a sale today. This just makes for an awful experience and terrible customer service. I have been ring shopping before and this was night and day compared to the excellent service I received when I went looking for my ring at another retail shop. Needless to say, we went with a different store outside of the mall where they asked our budget, gave us options and created a wishlist which they even emailed to the groom! When you walk in here, search high and low for Angie. She was amazing! We first came in here to try on rings and look at all the different engagement rings they offered. One had caught my eye when I walked by, so we decided to come in and look. My husband and I are very picky people and didn't even know where to start. Angie greeted us so kindly, offered us coffee or water and pulled out a seat for us. She pulled the ring from the window and we went to town! Anything and everything we wanted to see/try/question asked and answered, she did it. She went above and beyond to make recommendations and wrote down all the product IDs for the ones we liked and sizes. When it came time to buy our rings (we eloped! And finding rings together was way more fun than having a life long ring neither of us would've enjoyed), there was no other place in mind to go except Ben Bridge. We had looked at a few other places but no one put in the time, energy, and effort to make us feel at ease like Angie did. We came in and she recognized us and asked us again to get us coffee or water and we went back to town. They didn't have the ring my husband wanted so she found it at the Northgate location and even offered to go pick it up and bring it down to south center. (We went and picked it up and they had it sized and ready to go when we got there!!). We were so nervous about finding the right rings and this place went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. There's no corporate feel with this company, and it felt more like a mom and pop shop than any other jewelry store we went to. I would highly recommend this place to anyone either looking together or looking for just the perfect ring for your soon to be! Andrew assisted us with picking up our rings, he made sure everything was sized correctly, and presentable in their box. I stopped in about a month ago to check out watches. When I asked about Rolex options (they are an authorized dealer) I was at first laughed at and then they inquired about the model I wanted. When I explained what I was looking for I was then immediately asked about my Ben Bridge purchase history to see if they would be willing to do business with me. After finding I have indeed purchased jewelry from them the rep stated that I may not be someone that would get the "opportunity" to buy since I haven't spent enough money. What type of place feels so uppity that they won't actually sell me a product I'm looking to buy? Just more shady practices by those looking to juice their pockets by offloading items I don't want. Bad business, bad interaction, and overall just an awful experience to make me realize they've now lost a customer forever due to poor attitude and bad way to do business. read more

Good experience each time I go in. Today met with Angela Yaeger. She didn't have the Rolex I was looking for, but those are hard to get so I didn't expect to. But she was friendly and great to talk to. Although I couldn't get my hands on the Rolex I wanted, she helped us look at settings for my wife and her diamond ring. Didn't quite find what we were looking for there either, but we plan to be back. Two years ago, I went to this same store to look at a Rolex. I couldn't find the exact one I wanted, but the lady (was an Asian lady, I forgot to get her name), she was really good as well. She called all the other stores nearby to see if she could find what I was looking for. I didn't expect that, it was really nice of her to do that. Two plus years ago, my late husband and I took two pieces of jewelry in to the store. One, my wedding band for sizing and another a signet ring for repair. I have since gotten my wedding band back. My husband passed unexpectedly, the trauma made it unnecessary to resize my wedding band. I had asked the signet ring be repaired and sized to an eight. The signet ring belonged to my daughter. Fast forward, the signet ring went missing. I have been back numerous times asking for my ring. Each time I get asked the same question, 'Are you sure you did not pick it up already? We've checked every where and we can't seem to find it '. At one point I was told by the manager that another employee remembers some other family member picked it up. No other family member other than my husband, daughter and I knew the ring was there. My daughter has not been to the SOUTHCENTER mall in years. Beside, they don't know my daughter and I still have the claim ticket. Is it common for Ben Bridge to hand out jewelry to just anyone? My daughter and I would really like to get that ring back, we can always take it to another jeweler for the repairs we originally requested. The ring held a lot of sentimental value to my daughter. There's only ever a few reasons for a man to visit a jewelry shop: 1) He's a rapper, gangster, or wanna-be and needs to pick up some new bling bling. 2) A professional buying the only piece of jewelry a man can wear without judgement...a watch that does not say "G-Shock" on it. or most likely: 3) Buying that little rock that costs a man 2-3 months salary that he'll be paying for the next 3-5 years. Sorry to burst your bubble people, I came in for reason #4: To buy the even smaller rock that serves as an appetizer to buy you some time before number #3. Anyway so I've already shopped at more jewelry stores than I'd like to admit. But so far the only one that has truly stood out is Ben Bridge. Yes they are definitely NOT the cheapest one in the bunch. But any time I've casually walked in, I've always been greeted, and received excellent customer service. Even just browsing. Actually what really gave Ben Bridge props is the one person who actually walked me through diamond 101 to teach me clarity, and color, etc. And even took out diamonds of those grades to show me how subtle the differences really are. The rep (okay asst. manager since that's what the card says) who helped me here was Jay. And he was extremely helpful while I was there, he even took the time to show me some of the new Tag watches that came out. I hate having to write bad reviews, but our experience at this particular shop was anything but good. Having had good experiences at other Ben Bridge locations, we assumed this one would be the same. Unfortunately we were wrong. The sales person began by showing us the largest and most expensive diamonds only. We explained that we were on more of a budget, but it didn't stop there, and she handed us a $12K stone. I explained that I wasn't interested in a fancy setting, but all she would show us were the more complex and antique looking settings...the ones that were of course, more expensive. I asked again to see some simpler designs, but the sales person still didn't show them to us. She then asked my boyfriend when he was planning to buy. Totally inappropriate to be asked in front of me! Ring shopping is supposed to be fun, but our experience here was humiliating, degrading and just plain uncomfortable. If you're not looking for a $10k ring, don't bother going here. Apparently they won't show you an affordable one. :( read more

UPDATE: After my one bad phone call experience, Ben Bridge has reached out several times to make things right. Management called me and apologized, and they did my appraisal for free. I am really impressed with the customer service at this location and it will keep me coming back! Julie has been extremely kind, apologetic, and welcoming for us returning to do more business and I appreciate that a lot! This is a great store-- we will be coming back to look at replacement gems soon for a ring. Had a great experience with Andrew-- he helped us find the perfect sterling silver chain that we had been looking for. He made us comfortable, let us take our time looking through options, and ended up ordering the perfect piece for us. When we picked it up we got it shortened and the smaller portion turned into a matching bracelet, which was fantastic. Since my experience was so good, I decided to send in my grandmothers diamond and hematite ring for appraisal with Ben Bridge. I am super paranoid and worried sending things like this in because I am worried about shipping, getting lost, tampering with the stones, etc. I felt confident initially because of my experience with Andrew. I dropped it off on the 19th and was told it would be done in 2 weeks. Today is the 5th so I called to check in (mind you, this is a $4,000 heirloom). I spoke to Angie who seemed rushed, rude, and disrespectful. I told her I was checking in on an appraisal several times and she wasn't listening and kept asking what I was having done. She said, "is it a care plan?" I responded confused, "a care plan?" and she rudely says "well obviously not because you'd know what that is". She asked for some information on my paperwork that was not filled out and seemed upset about the previous associate not filling out the information she needed and goes, "great yeah he didn't fill out out great". She then told me that my ring wasn't in and doesn't take 2 weeks, but 3-4. It would have been nice to have been told this initially since I am putting a lot of trust into the company with this decision. I asked for additional information, when they get appraisals back and when she would probably anticipate it coming in and she kept repeating herself, "3-4 weeks, 3-4 weeks from when you dropped it off we will call you, it's protocol that we call you when it comes in" great, thanks, helpful. Disappointed that it's taking so long as I was never told 3-4 weeks. And also disappointed in how unhelpful and rude Angie was as she tried to rush me off of the phone. She was also extremely knowledgeable in showing and explaining the different cuts of diamonds. Before this experience, I only knew of princess and circular cuts. Now I (remember) about 5 or 6!
