Thanksgiving Day lunch at Flagler Tavern today. We had French onion soup, the Au Jus sandwich, a patty melt with Caesar salad and the chocolate chip cookie skillet. Other than the patty melt, which could have been cooked more and served hotter, everything was delicious. Our sever was fantastic! So fun and definitely added to our dining experience. We sat on the patio , so no complaints there. Over all a nice place for a good meal. read more

Quick sidewalk barn restaurant I can't say anything about the food cause I did not try it. Service was just okay. We ordered margaritas which were OK no big deal. It was fun to sidewalk people watch and it was only $27 for three drinks. I pay that for one drink in Miami. read more

It was average. . I got the market salad with blackened shrimp and asked for dressing on the side. The salad came out and looked great. Waitress came out to make sure everything looked good and it did until I started eating it and it was swimming in the dressing. In the end it was a $30 salad and I tried to eat as much as I could. read more

We stopped here for brunch on Saturday morning on our walk to the beach. The patio seating is great for people watching along Flagler Ave. Our server was Alyssa G. and she is amazing! Florida has some true southern hospitality, but she took it to the next level -- friendly, attentive, helpful, etc. She recommended the chicken nachos and a couple of brunch entrees. About a block from the beach on Flagler. They have a large outside deck and upstairs patio. Massive bar inside. Live music. And they were good. Older crowd at least early during happy hour. $1 off all drinks. Didn't get anything crazy and ordered a patty melt. It was just ok. They have a large menu to choose from. Stopped by Flagler Tavern over the weekend for their bottomless mimosas. It was super crowded (not surprising for a weekend brunch), and we ended up waiting around 40 minutes for an outdoor table. Luckily, downtown New Smyrna has plenty of cute shops to check out, so the wait didn't feel too bad. Once we got seated, I ordered the grilled octopus with a side of mashed potatoes. The service was incredibly slow for a Sunday night. However, our waitress was very kind when she did finally address us. We ordered a fish tacos and the fish dip. The fish dip was so incredibly garlicky that we had to send it back. I had the Baja fish tacos and they were flavorless. Also, the tortillas were very hard and were very chewy. Enjoyed some food last night on the front deck of the Flagler Tavern. Seated quickly and staff was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the Chicken Bacon Gorgonzola Flatbread which was large enough to share. Very tasty. I tried a bite of my besties Shrimp cocktail and Ahi Tuna. Both were good. Maybe a little too thick of a dusting of seasoning on the tuna but they were nice thick bites of Ahi. Great people watching over the main drag. Solid choice. Forgot to take pictures. read more

Kelvin is the BEST bouncer we have ever met, he is so personable so respectful so nice and SO FUNNY. my husband and I could sit here and have a conversation with him all day long. He is so genuine and so happy with his job. We love coming here just to see Kelvin. We drive 40 mins just to see this man!! read more

Went to dinner the other night at Flagler. It was chilly for FL but the patio was awesome with the heaters. Drinks were amazing! I got the passion piña colada and my friend got the plain. Another friend got the fish bowl - very fun! I got the stuffed shrimp with a Cesar salad and mashed potatoes. The stuffed shrimp were filled with crab meat. The dish was very dry and honestly the crab meat did not taste good at all. I hope this was a one off because every other time I have been here it was great. read more

We came for the burger. It was as ridiculous as it sounds. We split it, and still didn't finish it. And while it was great, we asked for it medium and was easily well done, there was NO pink in the burger anywhere. It wasn't a hockey puck tough because it's 30% bacon and stuffed with cheese, but it wasn't remotely medium. And the service while very friendly and kind was SLOOOOOOOW. One burger and two drinks shouldn't be a 2 hour meal. But it was and it was nice to sit there with my wife and catch up and thankfully we had nowhere else to be, but there were a LOT of people waiting for tables outside so maybe they should turn them around faster? Updated for Sherman - we were there Friday at 6pm. We sat upstairs at the speakeasy. My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch here after a beautiful day at the beach. The Fish Bowls were refreshing and not overly boozy. I was in between a couple of items on the menu and our server recommended getting the mahi rachael in a wrap. I ate the entire thing! My friend really loved her burger as well.
