She is very approachable, I have never found her to be rude. Sometimes they have one of their fancy teas on and you get to drink a glass for free...that's pretty cool! The treatments..I've tried quite a few, the Lipo machine, the non-surgical facelift. the photofacials, the skin tightening treatments. All have worked well for me. The best ones (for me) have been the tightening and facials (both kinds). I've personally noticed a different with the tightening (had it done on my arms and thighs) and others have complimented me on my skin ( facials). ..had co workers ask me if I am doing something..and others too ask what I've done to my face..they definitely notice. I also have purchased the skin serum they sell there.. Visible Youth, it's about $70 a bottle, I am on my second bottle and that stuff does wonders for your skin. You notice a difference instantly and after a few weeks see a permanent change. This is my first review on Yelp..and since I've been a loyal customer for over a year realized there is a reason I keep going back..and want everyone to know that this is a great place to check out. I found the place with no trouble at all and there is plenty of parking right in front (bring coins for meters). Upon entering I found the place to be cozy and clean. Amy, who took care of my treatment, was super personable and seemed very experienced and customer focused. I'd gone elsewhere in the past for Photo Facial and my experiences were just that the technician used the laser and sent me on my way. Here it was like I was going in for a regular facial. I laid back in a comfy aesthetics chair, not on a hard table covered by a paper or sheet. Then Amy cleaned my face and after the treatment applied a hydrating cream. It was a very nice experience and I am looking forward to my next appointment!

Here's what I like about New Skin: 1) Effective laser - I have tried 3-4 different lasers in the past and have had little to no success (I have have medium-dark skin with very dark hair). After just one treatment on my underarms I have almost stopped shaving! 2) Great staff - Taslim and her technicians are very professional. They are always making sure that you are comfortable and that you're not in any pain. Other places I've been make me feel really rushed and unimportant (especially when you use a Groupon like I did), but these guys are great! 3) No trouble getting in touch to book an appointment - Really easy to get an appointment, they will always get back to you. I've heard horror stories about places that sell tons of Groupons and then don't respond to phone calls. This is not that kind of place. 4) Virtually pain free - Overall the treatment is very comfortable, and since this is the type of laser that they keep in constant movement, you don't get that one 'flash' of pain. It just feels warm over your skin, and they will always ask if it's too warm for you and make adjustments if necessary. The only drawback with this place is that the office is kind of strange, the room you get the treatment in is really nice and clean but the waiting room is a little odd and there's no receptionist, you just have to wait until they're done with their last patient (so far they've been really punctual). Other than that I have no complaints at all. Just know that you're not going to walk into a super swanky spa or anything, the office is minimalist but it's clean and it gets the job done. I started with my underarms and have already added on my legs!! Can't wait for my next treatment.

What gets you in is the great price. But it wasn't worth it. When I first walked in there was no greeting, just "lie down". She insulted my skin condition saying I would be embarrassed by how much dead skin was on my face. And as someone who takes good care of their skin the comment was insulting! Throughout the facial she would leave the room with her gloves on and return without washing them. The only reason I'm giving 2 instead of 1 stars is because despite how unhygienic the spa was and it's practices and the poor customer service received the microdermabrasion was good.

Considering my experience was over 5 months ago and I am still frustrated when I think of it, that means a lot!!!! Ms. Cruz did my nails and they turned out terrible!! She did not properly cut the cuticles and she rushed through the whole thing. When I brought up the cuticles to her, she became defencive. Considering I get a manicure every 2 weeks, my nails looked worse coming out of the salon then going in! Odd, eh?? I was leaving on vacation so I needed it done, but Ms. Cruz said she did not have time to fix it, continuing to be defencive. As my purchase was on-line through one of the deal vendors, I could not avoid paying her, as she already had my money! Clever. She knew this and made it clear she was not refunding me. At this point she didn't even give me the facial which was part of my deal. She told me to deal with the deal site, which I just do not have time to do. I went looking for a salon to get Shellac done - at around 7pm! I first stopped at the salon below Ms. Cruz's store at the back of the salon supply store. Unfortunately, they only do regular nail polish, but they giggled when I showed them my nails and asked if they think they are "done". That must mean something! I ended up going to another salon, just down Eglinton - Kozeta. They squeezed me in so I could have my spa treatment in before my vacation. When they saw the nail job Ms. Cruz did, they just shook their heads. I think what Ms. Cruz needs to learn is that it's not her "16 years experience" that matters. people make mistakes. It's the way you handle them. If you have that experience, you know when you do a terrible job. I felt treated like garbage by her, robbed of my money and a decent manicure and NO FACIAL at all.
