You can find just about everything here, including a lot of Costco liquidation items. I have bought a few big ticket items here for great discounts and never had any issues with anything bought here. Be sure to take a peak upstairs too for even bigger discounts! And don't forget the clothes--they are always priced well. The staff always goes above and beyond. Once we were in for a sectional I had seen online, but it was sold by the time we came in. Someone asked if we needed help and I figured why not see if there was another available. We told him we were interested in a leather sectional--he went to the back and pulled so many options for us. We found the one we wanted and were thrilled! Had he not been so willing to help we would have left without our lovely sectional. We have also found counter stools, pet items, light fixtures, rugs and garden tools that we couldn't pass up. I think I will stop in this weekend to see what treasures I can find next! Thanks Big Box!

However, recently I noticed that the price difference is negligible and you are essentially paying almost the same amount as if you were buying it at Walmart /Amazon /Costco. I rather pay one or two percent more and buy directly from Amazon/ Costco so I can get warranty, get it shipped to my doorstep, and make use of the return policy. Pretty much everything else looks the same, down to the aisles. This is the cheapest place in town for food with small exceptions (gluten free bread is cheaper at Franz outlet). They don't require a membership, which is nice when you don't go very often. I think a little known fact is that they also do sell a lot of items that are normal size, so not everything is just huge restaurant sized containers. This is probably not the place for produce for a family/individual, though, unless you plan on freezing it. Some items (mandarins, kale salad blend, grape tomatoes, etc.) come in small enough portions, but most are way more than you'd be able to use before it went bad, and not all veggies and fruit survive being frozen. Watch closely for price tags. I've seen many items listed at unit price and other identical tags right next to them for similar items are per pound. If you have the time to make multiple stops for groceries, Smart Foodservice is definitely worth the trip and energy.

The other employees were trying to steer him away from customer view but it was clear as day, the man was obviously under the influence. He couldn't stand, walk, talk, or function in any way. I felt really bad for the other employees who were having to mommy him. It made for a disturbing atmosphere; I ended up just leaving.

Everything is in buk, too. 25 lb bags of sugar, whisks the size of baseball bats, gallon sized bottles of Sriracha sauce and more! Basically anything you'd need to run a bar or restaurant is here. What I found most impressive was the whole goats and lambs in the freezer section. It was both morbid and mouthwatering at the same time. Strange combo right?

I will say that this Costco was more on the spacious side. Possibly due to it being in the city. Everything was organized and clean. It was a pleasant trip. And for how packed the parking lot was, the inside wasn't bad at all. This was also my first Costco with a car wash outside. Don't know how common a Costco car wash is but they have one there.

update: bumping + a star after returning here a few times!…read more positives: huge shoutout to shy, the membership supervisor! got absolutely excellent help from her several times and felt like my membership problems (canceling a korean membership and beginning an american membership) was handled really thoroughly. in fact all the membership services staff and food court staff were very kind, definitely 5 star service there :) i think the like for food can get insane long but because they use a present receipt and get your food instead of a wait for your ticket to be called system, you don't have problems with your order ticket getting lost, which has happened to me at the kirkland location, and the line moves reasonably fast! negatives: the traffic can be quite, quite bad and i think the exit door staff could be a bit kinder, i tried to access the membership services desk via the exit and they kind of rudely directed me to the entrance despite the desk being all the way around the store by the exit, maybe this is a space planning shortcoming and a hectic time for the staff, but i didn't appreciate the tone, regardless.

They're not going to get any lower than this especially if you order through the mail. Today I picked up a case of monster energy drinks which is 24 for $38 and now I don't have to pay the ridiculous price of 3.79 each. There are supplies even for barista stands things like cups and stirrers and coffee syrups and coffee beans and the like. A good supply of essential professional cooking cookware like inserts, whips and utensils and some really good knives. For the bar there are dozens of different Frozen appetizers that patrons love like deep fried shrimp, chicken strips, zucchini, even pickles breaded, onion rings and other things like burritos, chicken strips and the like. They have a whole walk-in dairy refrigerator it's bigger than my bedroom which is quite nice when you need a lot of supplies and don't like the crowns of the supermarkets. No you do not need to be a member or have a special sign or club membership to shop here and no there is no fee for that it's just like a regular supermarket only with a different kind of display setup. In fact there is no display setup. They just open the containers for you to see what you're getting and then you can buy brand new containers of what you like. In some instances they will break a case like cleaning supplies, pinesol and other things too. Sometimes it's fun just to come out here because you never know what you see that will surprise you. Location could be better, it's off the beaten path past 130th Street North and Stone avenue North off to the east side kind of tucked away there. By the way, I still call it cash and carry because it has a nice ring to it.

Convenient location in North Seattle, ample parking, no membership needed, and prices often lower than local grocery stores and Costco. Most people who shop here are office, food service, restaurant, cafe, and catering staff. But the general public can also score great stuff in bulk, larger quantities. Perfect for those big gatherings. I've stopped in for kitchen gear, picnic supplies, spices, condiments, baking ingredients, and dairy products. Convenience and savings without the crazy crowds.
