I was quickly reminded why I stopped eating at the patio. I haven't eaten at this location but I've been to the Darien and Orland locations. Everything about our meal was just bad. The dining area was too cold and the only reason I say that was because about 90% of the people in there ate with their coats on. On to the meal. My fiancé ordered the chicken kabob dinner which was $12.99 and I had the pulled turkey sandwich. Her chicken was absolutely tasteless and so dry, all the pieces stuck to the skewer. My sandwich was mediocre at best. The meat, if it was actually turkey was incredibly dry and they drowned it in sauce. There's only one reason a bbq does that, because the meat sucks. Oh, almost forgot about the corn bread. It was so dry it basically crumbled all over our plates and we had to eat it in crumbs. All together the bill was $31 which was way too high for the quality dinner we had for two people. read more

My wife and I chose this restaurant because they had a nice party room which was free to reserve. The prices are rather affordable and the food is good. Ordering is done at a cashier and then delivered to your table. We were all satisfied with our food which all came out promptly and together for our party of 10 people. read more

The food is great, ambience and service is good, but the place is missing a bit of soul for me. Last night on 2/4/21 we ordered online and there was a "snafu" with the doordash delivery and our online order was cancelled - but the management here at the Aurora location is TOPNOTCH! Daniel and Daniela went ABOVE and BEYOND to get us our food despite a snowstorm and had an employee from the restaurant deliver us our food! It was truly incredible. And they sent us HOT food not food prepared from hours earlier. They were attentive to the situation overall and honestly just nice people to work with - truly the best customer service I have seen in a LONG TIME! Catering - wonderful! Very impressed with the quality and quantity of food and the service when we picked it up. Ordered 7 pounds of pulled pork - it seemed more like 12 pounds, it was over flowing on the tray. Delicious! Everyone was impressed with the flavor. The bbq tacos were $8.95 for 3 with no side, and they were not good. The pork was dry and bland. The fish tacos were the same. No flavor. The fried zucchini was not my favorite, but my gf liked them. If you want to eat what you order, eat there. If you go through the drive thru, you will NOT get the correct order, no matter how simple. I tried to order 1 tamale boat with extra cheese and extra sour cream. Pretty freakin simple. I had to tell her 4 times i only want one, she kept repeating back 2. And i got zero sour cream, no cheese on the chili, and one single small cup of cheese on the side. Almost opposite how i ordered. They cannot hear at the drive thru sign. Three visits and I've had to go to the window to order and they STILL get it wrong everytime, so the sign not working is clearly not an excuse. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING. ITS 2015 and if you think that you can just do a crappy job and it wont catch up to you, think again. 20 years ago if I wanted to complain, I had to drive back there. This place wasn't too busy on Sunday. We weren't really sure what to expect and after today we know. You walk in and there's a big menu you can see and walk down the line to place your order. It's congested as the three registers are very close, you'll need to speak loudly since there's a lot of order placing going on much like Portillo but not as organized. You're given a number and directly behind you are the drinks. Seat your self and wait for your food (like Culver's). The bathrooms were okay, clean but also narrow. The ambience inside feels more like a mall food court than a restaurant. I didn't care for the lifting but thankfully there's a lot of natural right. There's booths, Amal tables and very big tables. I ordered an Italian beef, it was okay, peppers and cheese were extra. You get a basket of fries for $2.50. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't fantastic either. I had a manager that enjoyed going to The Patio because it was so close so I had the unfortunate experience of trying many things on their menu. Literally nothing here is above average. This place is great! I don't look for much when I go out to eat, but I expect quality food, reasonable prices, and a clean atmosphere. This will be my new go-to spot for casual dining. My wife and two kids went here last weekend and shared a number of menu items. The pulled pork was tasty. My kids loved their fries and mac and cheese. They also split the chicken tenders and enjoyed them as well. We also split an order of mushroom and zucchini for an appetizer and the charbroiled chicken kabobs. When we stopped in the place was busy. The service and staff were friendly and efficient. Food came out piping hot and savory and the ambiance was probably our favorite part. My office had carry out service today. Three out of 4 of us will not return. Food was mediocre at best mainly due to the use of poor quality ingredients and certainly over priced for those ingedients. The grilled cheese consisted of nothing more than Kraft single knock offs on soggy bread and they forgot the fries on kids meal even after confirming our selection. The fries we did receive were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside but expensive. The Julian salad had loads of lunch meat and veggies, however, the raspberry vinegrette beared closer resemblance to pancake syrup. My wife ordered 1/2 slab of the bbq ribs and I went with the 1/2 chicken oreganato plus 2 hot teas. Price came up at almost $40. The ribs were not tender at all and they did not have a smoky flavor whatsoever. The bbq sauce was good but it didn't matter. The chicken was tender but not much flavor to it. The sides that came with both meals were just ok. I should have read previous reviews before going to this place. I've learned my lesson. I've been inside Patio and in the drive-thru, and both experiences have been great. I like the open setting and the decorations in the restaurant - it's very inviting! Also, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The drive-thru is surprisingly not too slow considering the type and quality of food, which is great. Now on to the food - superb! The fries (both regular and sweet potato have been consumed) are delicious, their sandwiches are delicious, and they have my wife's favorite chicken tenders.
