A delicious experience with some high quality bbq. It's really hard to find good bbq that can be compared to the south. This was the closest tasting bbq than anything else in the area. They also have poutine which was a pleasant surprise and really delicious with the chicken. The servers at the counter answered our questions quickly and were very informative on each meat type. This place is basing their bbq off Texas and I have had Texas bbq and they are close. I think the brisket has a little to go but everything was good. We were not disappointed just not quite Texas yet. They are new so I can't wait to try them again next visit. I thought the sausage was suppose to be jalapeño and cheddar and it was just plain, but had flavor. When we were there they had 3 different bbq sauces : spicy, peach and Texas style.. they all were good. Don't sleep on that peach. This is set up cafeteria style. So you go up and select your food. I've been here a total of three times over the last year+. First time I give it a 4 1/2. The pulled pork was moist, and perfectly cooked. The second time I had the pulled chicken, would give it a 3, it was dry and average at best. The other day, I decided to try one more time and just go with the pulled pork. It was dry and cold. My wife also thought it was undercooked. This place is pretty pricey, so I expect a lot better. read more

Good quality Bbq but PRICEY!!! if you are a barbecue lover I definitely would recommend you try station one smokehouse barbecue. I think you will be pleasantly surprised they have lots of different selections of smoked meats. However, it is one of those spots where they are gonna dig into your wallet. The fries are fresh the cornbread and the honey butter is fire. My favorite when I go over there is to get the corn beef sandwich. Absolutely reminds me of Katz's deli in New York City and I think it's rumor that the owner of station one actually interned at Katz deli in New York City but I haven't spoken with them to confirm so that's hearsay but man that corn beef sure it does taste like Katz deli. We ordered pick-up, and the process was fast and easy! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the brisket sandwich with peach BBQ sauce--it was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked! I initially thought it came with fries, but it didn't. Luckily, we also ordered the mac and cheese and the tater tot casserole, which were both incredible! Absolutely horrible.. It should be called station two for all the time I spent on the toilet. They charge by the pound, which I get, but half the weight is the fat on the brisket because they do not trim it like other bbq places do. The price for the sampler is $60 must be the cost for the half of loaf of bread I got. No point in sharing all the details, but thank God the bathroom at this gas station has handles by the toilet... The stream of station two coming out at Mach 2 would have sent me to the ceiling... Btw, you can probably go to aldi to get the turkey.. it tastes the same. read more

Just picked up food for the first time here and it has the best smoked brisket I've had anywhere near Yorkville! I failed to get a good photo of the brisket sandwich before I demolished it, but it had lots of bark pieces and a decent smoke ring in the cuts. I also got the honey butter cornbread and creamy coleslaw. Everything was on point for taste, texture, and freshness. The service was very good. Everyone working there was kind and helpful. I mentioned it was my first time trying them out and they were very helpful offering me a side of pickles and a bbq sauce sampler to go with my food. The inside of the restaurant was industrial style and had (as you could predict) a firehouse theme. There's a firehose in place of a velvet or leather rope for the line which was a nice touch. They have a full service wet bar and convertible patio that opens in good weather and closes with windows to look out of in bad weather. This is my new go-to for good bbq when I don't feel like doing a long smoke on the Traeger. Highly recommend. read more

I was here on a Saturday night. We decided to take our chances and stop by and see how long the wait was. We were there around 7 pm. The line was pretty long but we decided to wait. They have a location in Plainfield that I have yet to visit. I did not know what to expect. I was surprised to see that you order at the counter, kind of like Chipotle. There is a lot on the menu to choose from although some things were already sold out. They had signs with their sold out items which was helpful. We went with the chopped brisket, wings, pastrami, ribs and the pork belly. For the sides we ordered green beans, vinegar coleslaw and the tater tot casserole, and brussel sprouts. We sat ourselves at the bar and ordered drinks. The food was all fantastic and did not disappoint. The meat was all delicious and cooked perfectly. The sides were all amazing too. I also got a little cup of pickles and those were delicious!! I'd go back for just the pickles, they were that good!! The bartender took great care of us. Giving us to go containers and bagging up our stuff. He was super attentive and friendly. The restaurant is pretty big and there is plenty of seats. I can't wait to go back!! read more

I had the smoked brisket sandwich, Jalapeño-cheddar sausage link, collard greens (the only place in Illinois that has collard greens!) and coleslaw (they offer creamy and vinegar) all were delicious! One of the best bbq places I've been to in Illinois. We had brisket, burnt ends, and wings and everything was melt in your mouth amazing.
