I liked the options they had for food too! Make sure to have cash though, entry was cash only but food and merch they accepted card. It was my first time here and it was an experience. Nice that we have a raceway in our backyard. Easy to from the LIE. Parking on a grassy field. Tickets were available for $40 cash only which moved relatively quick, but advanced tickets can be purchased online. It is all bleacher seating, no stairs. If you want to avoid debris, I recommend sitting closer to mid to upper levels. Maybe a pair of glasses and a cap to shield the eyes. Lots of exhaust and burning rubber. There were several races which were fun to watch which included the figure 8 and the trailer race (there were boats and jet skis on trailers!). The main feature was the school bus demolition derby which was a hoot. They would back into one another and the last one standing wins. There are concession and merchandise stands if you wanted to pick up something. It took quite a while to leave the field because it all converged to the main road. Worth trying at least once if you're a racing fan.

We went here as a group! First and foremost, shoutout to Treyvone (hope I spelled his name…read morecorrectly), for being so accommodating and checking on us to make sure we're good! He went above and beyond customer service. Thank you! Also, the place accommodated for our lost time because of the fire drill! The staff was quick in addressing it and shout out to the Farmingdale Fire Dept for their fast reply! Lastly, the race was fun! We did 2 races and it was a blast! Also played some arcade games. :) I think the price was fair. The last place I went to that was similar to this used fuel, and I paid around $79. Considering the $10 difference, I say it's decently priced! Just a little note: the safety video needs subtitles because you cant hear anything.

However, we waited three hours for a race that only lasted 10 minutes. You have to come with plenty of time and be prepared to wait for the track. Maybe it was just packed because it was the weekend. Bathroom was dirty and smell Way beyond nasty.

The festivities started with the introductions of the local officials, a monk to bless the fleet and the eye dotting ceremony to "awaken the dragon". Each team had their encampments along the shore with their tents, banners and brightly colored uniforms. From then on, the teams were on the water all day for some intense competition, paddling their butts off. The boats out on the water were a fair distance away and were hard to track, but each boat came back to a rousing round of cheers! The festival would not be complete without some great food from vendors serving some tasty Asian dishes. Potstickers, teriyaki chicken bowls & spicy pork skewers were some of the stolen bites I got from my wife. But I was racing, so I couldn't load up on food or I would've chummed the bay. Entertainment was provided all day by local dance & choral groups, and a lion dance demonstration by a martial arts troop. The highlight was Hsu-nami, a erhu band that rocked the stage! We didn't win a medal, but it was an exhausting and exhilarating day! Can't wait for next year.

Now expectations need to be low here, so I will try and give a benefit of doubt. There was an ambiance of despair that seemed to reach out from the degenerate gamblers and infect the food. I expected a lame burger and was not disappointed. The real star of the show was the pasta salad that had the consistency of twizzlers. I was really weird. No one likes that. Perhaps strangest of all was the cryptic rumour that the chef puts tomato sauce in the pea soup. You have been warned kimosabe.

I wanted an afternoon out, and Belmont Park was closed, so I decided to take a chance on this place, and it satisfied my needs and exceeded my expectations. I paid $2 to get in, and spent an extra dollar to get my own desk with a lamp and TV, so I could watch any track I wanted. They also have the Tiny Tim Machines for anyone with an OTB account, which is nice. They have a small bar/restaurant. The liquor selection is pretty good, as is the food menu. It's your usual pub fare. I had a turkey club sandwich and it was delicious. Definitely a good portion of turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The bacon was also perfectly cooked, definitely not the rubbery, pre-cooked garbage you might expect. The clientele is what you would expect it to be: Mostly old-timers yelling at a jockey for making a mistake, but frankly, if you expect to go in there and see anything different, you've obviously never been to the track before. You aren't going to see the suits and ties and big hats here. Those people may be shown on TV during every big race, but keep in mind, they are the MINORITY of people that head to the races. It is mostly blue color and retirees trying their luck and hoping for the best. The place was pretty clean for the most part, and I really enjoyed the large TVs on the wall. The only thing I would do here is update the TVs. They are mostly projection/tube TVs. A little updating and this would be a REALLY cool place to hang out. Either way, I'll definitely return.
