I am so glad that I found this place on Yelp! I have been so nervous to take my 5 month old mini goldendoodle puppy to the groomer to have his first full groom because he is a very needy puppy, but he had a wonderful time! The groomers were so friendly and sweet, and my puppy immediately felt comfortable around them. They really understand dogs! They were able to do his entire groom in just an hour, and they were very gentle and careful with my puppy. They gave him so much attention. He was so happy when I picked him up, and he looked so cute! They did a great job with his style. It looks exactly how I wanted it to look! We even got a cute gift bag and pupcake afterward. It was very affordable too! It has been about a week since his grooming, and I am still so impressed by the job they did. He is so much happier and softer now! I wish that the location were a bit more convenient for me, because it was right off of a busy highway without much space in the parking lot. I took my aussie in and asked for an Aussie puppy cut but asked for a shorter version. When I picked up my dog she looked completely shaved down. Everything I've read says you do not cut an Aussies under coat. I saw Aussies on their Instagram and didn't think I had to specify that I did not want her cut to practically her skin with a shaved look. One staff said she told me the inch amount she would cut when I dropped her off which is NOT true. Because I would not have agreed. I think I was most bothered by the fact that the blame was placed on me. If I wanted my Aussie shaved I would have asked for that. I was very upset. They did apologize and offered a $20 discount, which I appreciate but do not think was near enough. My dog was not easy to groom, I get it, but this cut was extreme and again, not what I asked and many groomers would never cut an Aussie this way. I do appreciate businesses that make some attempt to make things right. This review is so that others know to be very specific when they go in so that the groomers know exactly what you want. Had I seen a review like this I would have made different decisions. My dog had a beautiful coat and is very uncomfortable now. I also find them to be overpriced. I picked them for convenience with location but there are less expensive and great groomers in Bakersfield. read more

I love the paw spa. Our sweet girl , Reeni, who is a half chihuahua half schnauzer is an inside dog and her nails get super long but she would not let us clip them. She hates her paws being touched so i called the paw spa, they got us in the same day and did a wonderful job. We have been going there for about a year now - every 6 weeks or so for a bath, nail trim and grind and anal gland expression. I forgot to mention reeni also has a problem with her anal glands the girls at the paw spa get her all cleaned up and smelling good super quickly! Took my cousins dog to get some loving and what a difference from previous place we had taken here too. They always made her looked bug eyed and even after her damn cut she came back looking like a homeless dog from Oildale Always felt like a waste of money. But compared to this place it was night and day!! As soon as we dropped her off here she went the girl up and giving her kisses, previous place would always needed all day cuz they claimed she was difficult and moved, but here they can magically do it under two hours.
