    Pickle pizza

I loved seaboard! I live within walking distance and I can't believe it has taken me close to a year to go for the first time. As someone who is very picky about pizza I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. The crust was very flavorful and both our pizzas hit the spot! I always crave a good buffalo chicken pizza and I think this will be where I come! Also I was not expecting the drink prices to be so reasonable. I usually order the aperol spritz and it is so good. Now I always encourage my friends to come here when we are making plans.

Went out for a girls night on Friday and absolutely loved seaboard! This place is such a great spot for drinking and vibing with your people. The ambience is modern, fun and very spacious with lots of seating selections. The August drink deals were unbeatable and the DJ added to the experience. I regret not getting any food, and I will be coming back to try more! I recommend ordering from the bar because it did take a while to get your drink if you ordered it online at your table Via the QR code.

Great place! Nice wine list, nice beers, a few cocktails. They have charcuterie boards. Atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Only bad thing is parking

I've loved going to the location in Matthews, and finally made the journey to check out their south end location. It did not disappoint! The inside was beautiful, with plenty of space while maintaining a cozy feel, and the drinks selection was huge. We got some of their cocktails which were solid and shared a delicious mushroom pizza with a truffle oil drizzle! Can't wait to go back!

Seaboard is one of the newer breweries to enter the competition that is Charlotte, though they are no beginners, they have long had a location in downtown Matthews. Located in the area commonly known as LoSo (despite the fact that many hate this name), Seaboard is a large upscale taproom featuring craft beers, wines, and an impressive cocktail list. They host DJs on Friday and Saturday nights, and on weeknights they have trivia nights as well as stand up comedy and other events. In that way they are more than just a taproom, they are an event space, and a nightlife destination with different vibes on different nights that cater to a bunch of different tastes. Most recently I came in on trivia on Wednesday evening. It had a decent crowd, enough that it had a fun atmosphere but not too much that it was over crowded. In addition to all their beverage options, they offer a list of specialty pizzas that come in personal size enough for one hungry person, or for a couple to split. I myself tried to Buffalo chicken pizza and enjoyed it. Trivia night was fun and we enjoyed our food and drinks. It can feel so overwhelming with all the different options for going out in Charlotte, but this is a spot I would recommend people check out to see if they enjoy.

If you're looking for a relaxing family friendly restaurant to grab pizza check out Seaboard. The inside has a tropical vibe and the outside patio is a little underwhelming but still an option especially on warmer days. The patio is very pup friendly if that's your vibe. The drinks are good nothing spectacular but very tasty and the pizza is worth the hype. I really liked the BBQ chicken pizza so I have a feeling the Buffalo is even better. The pizza dough is on the thinner side but you get a nice crust. And the chicken is seasoned with quality tasting cheese so the other toppings are not overpowered by the sauce. The staff interaction was chill and laid back, If you go enjoy.

Cool little tucked off place. The pizza was worth it for me. Got the hot honey pizza extra crispy, was amazing. Lance the owner/manager was nice. Stop by for a drink and a pizza is you ever have the time. You won't regret it.

Stopped by here on Sunday afternoon just to check out the new location. This location is so different than the other in all the right ways! There is comfy indoor seating and a large bar area for seating as well. The outdoor area is quite large too but it was too hot that day to enjoy it. We already had lunch earlier that day so we just stuck to the beverages but next time we look forward to their pizza that's so good! The service was super friendly and fast too!

The pizzza here is amazing like actually some of the best in Charlotte. The service was a little slow on a Sunday, especially when we were the only table in the entire restaurant. We ordered via the app, but the waiter never came to our table to check on us - literally the food was delivered and that was it. Drinks are good and prices are reasonable!

This is a self service restaurant but they ask for a 25% tip when you check out. A tip for, um, what?

There's plenty of outdoor seating available as well but it was pretty hot that afternoon. We started with a couple large pretzels and a variety of beers- I just had a prosecco though, so if beer isn't your thing, there are alternative options. For my entree, I ordered the pastrami sandwich and Mac and cheese. Other common orders included the salmon, donner bowl, schnitzel and sausage sampler. The food came out quickly and we all ate in relative silence which is a good indication of satisfaction! @azfitfoodfun

Updated Review (2026):…read more We've been coming to Gilde since they opened their doors in 2022. When we first began coming, they served delicious authentic German food. Unfortunately, they've changed their menu a dozen times and have removed our favorites from the menu (the original braised pork (they changed it over time, but the original was amazing) and the goulash) :( They have slowly evolved their menu into bar food to cater to the party-going crowd as their street has become more trafficked -- which now means a greater likelihood of having to succumb to the paid parking garage. We're big fans of their beers and did a brewery tour & tasting when Gilde was at its peak. Their beers are the reason I at least give them 2 stars: the pale wheat and red rooster are especially delicious. We even spent our NYE 2025 there and did the stein-holding competition. We've tried new things on the menu, desperate to give them more tries... but we keep ending up disappointed. For example, the steak sandwich is not a steak sandwich, but rather a kebab. We've driven the 40 min drive to go there and show up and then they are closed for a private event (with no notice on their social media). We have also brought friends there and have waited an hour for a server. Last Mother's Day, we showed up for dinner at 7:45 p.m (sure, that's a tad late.. but we left our home at 7) and were told the kitchen was already closed. This Mother's Day, we waited 45 minutes, with no updates or warnings, to be seen by a server. When we tried to place our order, we were told that we couldn't yet place our food order and that we had to order drinks separately because their kitchen was slammed. I'm no expert, but why not still accept customer's orders and speed up the kitchen by bulk-cooking? Can't multiple brats be made at once? Or larger portions of sauerkraut or bacon? Also, only a third of the tables were taken.. so that sounds like some poor kitchen capacity. When we were finally served our food (still took awhile even after putting in the food order), they had served my husbands meal 10 min before mine and then I was served mine.. and it turns out they still had forgotten about our daughter's French toast and had to START it. The disorganization or perhaps just lack of effort/care has gotten ridiculous. So disappointed at the way our favorite restaurant went downhill!
