I've visited the Katy location so thought I'd try this Richmond location which is in my neighborhood. The interior is very clean & I love that they have a hand sanitizer dispenser right at the front door as you are exiting. For me, it's a take out stop, but there are a few tables if you'd like to eat-in. The worker at the cash register was friendly. I got a few items for the family to try: the blackberry peach cobbler with extra crust, original banana pudding & an original cinnamon roll. My experience here is basically the same as the other location, so they are consistent. Favorites were the blackberry peach cobbler. (This is really just both the blackberry cobbler & the peach cobbler placed in the same container to make the 'blackberry peach cobbler'). I like them mixed but if I had them individually I give the blackberry cobbler the edge. The cinnamon roll was a favorite! I asked for light icing which they happily accommodated. I don't prefer the banana pudding. The consistency with pudding, whipped cream & wafers are fine. It's just the banana flavor appears to come from banana flavoring as opposed to real bananas so the "bananas" have an artificial taste I don't prefer. (I get it, real bananas turn brown & ugly quickly.) A few tips: Tip #1: If you like crust in every bite, request extra crust, so worth it!! Tip #2: Can't decide, try the dessert sampler: 4 cobblers and/or banana puddings (smaller portions) for $15.99. Tip#3: Daily Specials Mon-Th, 11a-5p. For example, Monday is BOGO any cobbler. I was craving for some peaches and stopped by here about an hour before they closed. The staff were nice and quick. They also love to chat and figure out what kind of clobber you are into. The tables and chairs were clean. I made a mistake and didn't listen to them and asked for ice cream to be on top of my hot peaches clobber. So, I made a mess. But they were gentle about it and were kind enough to redo mine but with their recommendation this time. The peach clobber itself was good and as expected. Hidden gem that was definitely needed in our area. When you walk inside, the ambiance is so amazing. Cozy, bright, and amazing smells that hit your nose immediately. This space is black owned. I met the owner and she was absolutely delightful. They created something for me that wasn't on the menu called the "Phil Special" or the "Phil Brownie". I can't remember the name but it was suggested by the worker Phil. It was a gooey and warm brownie with delicious vanilla ice cream, drizzled with Nutella, and a small container of Peach Cobbler on the side. Absolutely delicious! I've ordered it twice now. Went to a location in Memphis a while ago and was surprised they opened up a location up in Texas! Was so extremely glad though! The service is quick and the location is small and cozy it's definitely a place you go to hang out with friends or after you eat a nice lunch!
