First, I have had facials in different parts of the country and overseas. I know what is a true and real facial feels like. This was not it. This is on me for not making time on carefully research this place. The DMK felt like the " esthetician" watched bunch of you tube videos and mimic the steps. There was no facial massage, it was more like throwing the products on your face which literally it happened that way. Lily was lovely and everything but one thing is the personality the other is the execution of work. The place: people go to have a facial or massage in a place that is zen and quiet. It's a space for healing and focus. There's no privacy. The working areas are separated by panels. There are no doors but curtains facing the checkout counter. I could hear the next door client chatting with her esthetician nonstop. For that you go to therapy or simply have that session at home. It was distracting and extremely annoying. The choice of music and volume not okay. It gave me the impression these people wants to make quick money without having proper practice and real experience. I'll keep looking and make the time to check on their certificates online. The ones on the wall look pretty fake. I know this is a brutal review but this impression was fully created by you-- the business. I support women owning businesses but please do it right!

Besides to save money, it's a great way to try products or services for less and if you like it then you found a new place/product. So far this hasn't been a good experience. The building looks abandoned every time I have been there to try to receive the services. They have a phone number but they never answer so you can't communicate the day of the appointment for any updates. The owner called me herself the 1st time it happened. I was there 30 mins before my appointment and I thought I was able to wait in the office but no so I went back to my car and came up 10 mins before the appointment time. Nobody answered and I stayed there and nobody came. It was a very cold windy day so I went back to my car and called but nobody answered. I also emailed the email showed on the suite door I was told to go to and it also wasn't the right suite. The second time I missed it as I woke up sick (fever and chills) and rescheduled for a 3rd time that I was unfortunately running 5-7 mins behind and I could not have anybody answer the phone. I got there to the new suite number I was told to go and same, the building looked abandoned and there were no cars. So I'm still waiting and hopefully to get in. While a pedicure may sound strange and I didn't know what made me call, after meeting my student, Mia-I knew. Her smile was just as bright as my daughter's. She was welcoming, nice and professional-everything I would have dreamed for my daughter. She explained everything she was doing and asked questions about my needs throughout. She even shared lessons she learned about the school and atmosphere & how happy she was there. Our conversation throughout my "pedicure" made me forget my sorrow and enjoy this young woman and I knew that is why I was led back there. Oh. My pedicure is amazing-please check my pictures. This is not my first time there and nor will it be my last. This School is teaching the future the correct way! They are Positive& Professionals-& I am going to keep saving my money and going back. It is clean, quiet yet comfy. They are providing more than a service for us- they are leading our future with being on time, being respectful and doing a great job. I asked for babylights through the transition part of my hair, a silver gloss, and a layered haircut. After 4 hours and this putrid color, the stylist hadn't even gotten to the cut yet. I left without the cut or blow-dry/style. Anyone who has ever gone through the process of trying to grow color out of hair knows this isn't just about getting a one time bad color. Even if I was refunded my money, I'd still need the fix for the immediate hair plus 2 years of ongoing maintenance color. This is literally a cost to me of over $1k plus the hours and hours I will have to commit to it again. My hair feels like straw, when it was very healthy going in. Plus, there's just the fact that I'm old. 2 years is significant. I am furious. More so at the management than the stylist. This was her first day...part of the reason for 4 hours. She had to continually leave me to go consult with others. Somebody that new, that timid, and with that many questions needed someone with her, assisting. I deserved that. She deserved that. WORST.SALON.EXPERIENCE.EVER!
