This is my "local". That is, the closest bar/restaurant to where I live. This makes it important to me. It was a Friday evening, I walked in about 6:00 PM. Dang, I just missed "Happy Hour". I won't make that mistake again, although the regular prices are very fair. The place was crowded, 3 deep at the bar. The mood was happy, the TVs had the ball games on above the bar. The room is long and narrow with a few tables at each end. The patio on the North end was very comfortable and available. I have enjoyed the sandwiches and flatbreads before and they are definitely a step above the usual bar fare. The drinks were cold, the waitress was friendly but harried, the service was great! Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to grab some lunch and watch some football. We were warmly greeted by the chef and owner Mike. They were both very courteous and friendly. Got us a heater turned on, waters right away, a water bowl for our dog. They were excellent. Mike even gave our pup a little bit of roast beef. Drink selection was outstanding. Mike was friendly and gave his suggestions nicely. Wife loved the bloody mark. He even made a great kamikaze!!! Potato cheddar soup was great. Fresh bread with the soup was super delicious. Wife and shared the chicken pesto sandwich. Very tasty and warm. I wish it had a little more pesto on it. Also would like the option to have fries with the sandwich and not chips. But it was still good. I highly recommend this spot. Great location. Plenty of parking. Lots of televisions and outdoor seating. And Mike was great. read more

Wonderful spot with a strong neighborhood feel. Came in for a St Patrick's Day lunch and was pleased to see different specials for the full weekend and a few served all weekend. Corned beef sandwich was loaded with excellent, lean, thin sliced corned beef. Guinness was properly poured and a steal on special. We've been in here many times during the day, happy hour and late at night. Always fantastic. Bonus is an amazing outdoor space with loads of room for groups. After you read the reviews on this little downtown gem, you kinda know what to expect. And it did NOT disappoint! Debbie at the bar was sweet as can be, and super friendly and efficient. There were two other patrons at the bar, who were also talkative and wanted to get to know us. (I have never had this unique experience, so if you're introverted, this is not the place for you!) Very laid back atmosphere with good music that won't blow out your ear drums. I discovered a wonderful Pinot Gris--Caposaldo--that I hadn't had before and it was wonderful. I love this place! The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and professional, and it's easy to stay longer than you plan. Conversations with other patrons are always lively and interesting but never contentious. Everyone, staff included, have excellent senses of humor. I want to pay particular compliments to Debbie Diaz (Kuhl), one of bartenders. She is friendly, funny, and fastidious in providing service. Love this hidden local gem, when I say local I mean it's very close to our apartment and easy to walk to. Everyone is very chill here and has a very welcoming vibe. Especially if you're respectful and appreciate good food and drink. Our bartender Debbie was on point, very polite and that means a lot these days!! We had Jack on the rocks and house Cabernet Sauvignon for our drinks and they were wonderful!! For food we had the Pretzel Bites and Prosciutto Flatbread and that was served by Chef Issac and let me tell you, THAT WAS SOME YUMMY FOOD!! The owner named Mike was warm and welcoming and made us feel at home!! Definitely coming back to this place snd I suggest you try it for yourself. Easy parking and plenty of outdoor seating!! You're not welcome here unless you're a regular. Visited recently for a drink on a Saturday evening. To be brief, the nice 'Thank you" plaque doesn't apply to anyone not already a regular. The crowd inside the bar all seemed to know each other and got louder and more rowdy as the night wore on. We were basically ignored by the bartender and as the crowd grew larger were pushed aside to make room for everyone. Once the scream-singing started I knew this place was a "one and done". 3.5 stars. Super small local bar. Came with Nick and we got a flatbread and the charcuterie board. The flat bread was actually really quite good. The Triple Crown is such a great neighborhood tavern! Mike and his staff are the best (love you, Debbie, Scott, Dan, Hilario and everyone else too). Whether you are a regular or a newcomer you are always greeted with a smile and a hello!!! Cocktails are delicious and they have a great beer selection on tap. Go for Wine Wednesday they have some great deals. The bar is cozy and the roll up door gives it an open, airy feeling. They have two great patios if you like sitting outside. The Triple is also pup friendly and water is always offered. Great flatbreads (prosciutto, fig and pear is my favorite), sandwiches and don't forget the pretzel bites, the artichoke dip that comes with them is the best. If Dan has come up with a special sandwich or burger, make sure you order it. You will not be disappointed. Mike and his staff go above and beyond if you are having a special event here. We had an engagement party for our son and daughter-in-law at the Triple, and between Mike, Jojo and the rest of the staff it went off without a hitch. Everyone had the best time! read more

Found this lil gem down the road and Im glad we checked it out. Lots of parking, large over flow patio but still roomy when we arrived. Seemed like many of the folks are regulars and knew each other. The bartender was a super nice young lady that took good care of us. The guy from the back came out to say hi and make sure everything was good. We enjoyed the happy hour, I grabbed pretzel bites and my other friend got a sandwich. TVs all over and the patio too so the games could be seen with any turn. Walked in any got a seat at the bar really quick. Loved that! Ordered the Turkey artichoke pesto sandwich with macaroni salad. Mac salad was good. The same store bought you remember as a kid..Brings back happy memories so I'll never say anything bad about that. :) The Sammie tho- yummm! Very flavorful and 1/2 was plenty for me. Hubby ordered the French dip sliders with chips and enjoyed every bite! They have Mich Ultra in the bottle, so that's always a plus. One star off because the roll up door lets that cigarette smell directly into the bar and it's pretty rough. I would definitely come back. I first came here eons ago, back when it was "Hero's Pub." I remember it being a local's type place that lended to a relaxed but fun environment. Triple Crown Tavern is still that but more elevated with nicer than normal food offerings for a bar. My friend and I shared pretzel bites with a sweet house made mustard and a spinach jalapeño dip. We both thought it was so delicious! For drinks, she had wine and I tried their mezcal margarita and a spicy margarita - which had a nice kick! We enjoyed sitting outside on their spacious patio. They have picnic table umbrella seating on one side and bistro type patio seating on the other. We lounged for hours taking in the sunshine and cool breeze. Our server/bartender/manager Michael was welcoming, on top of it and never rushed us out. I can't wait to come back! read more

After a day at dog beach, was on the way back looking for a quick spot to grab a beer, and chill with the pup. We landed on Triple Crown. Parking: Parking was very simple, at Triple Crown with plenty of spots. When I first walked into Triple Crown, I was greeted by a gentleman, and I asked if they allowed Dogs. He said, "absolutely outside." We sat outside, and was quickly greeted by the same gentleman, and asked, What we would like to drink?" I started with my go to Bud Light. I also did find out that it was Happy Hour, so took the time to review the menu for food. My dining guest and I ordered the pretzel bites with the homemade mustard, and the flatbread. The food did take a few minutes; as well as the service it appeared there was only one server. The pretzel bites, and the mustard were BOMB.COM!!! Highly recommend! The mustard was so unique tasting, I could have eaten sooo much more. The flatbread was good, but nothing amazing(maybe ordered the wrong flatbread). Roxie (my dog), she also enjoyed the complementary water, and the chill vibes of sitting outside. Overall, I would definitely come back for the pretzels and mustard! read more

Trying to watch the soccer game today, this was the only local bar broadcasting it! Way to go!!! We didn't plan on eating but the chef kept bringing out these amazing looking and smelling breakfast sliders! Had to try them.... Buttery brioche buns, by my best estimation very FRESH bacon, egg, ham, gooey cheddar, and a hollandaise that was tangy and rich (fresh?). When I bit into the slider, warm yolk dripped all over fingers and chin. FRESH INDEED AND IN-SANE-LY GOOD!!! Oh did I mention crispy tater-tots? YES, tater tots!!! I had several drinks as well and the bartendress Linda was fast, accurate, and had an amazing personality. I didn't get the chefs name but he was obviously talented as well. This looks and feels like a chill local sports-type bar, 8 or 9 TV's, kinda loud during big sport events, and has a huge garage door open to the street supplying a really nice breeze. If you watch the ponies, watch here, ponies are running on at least 1 tele. The biggest surprise was the food, truly. This tasted like quality restaurant cuisine, not "bar" food. I'm going to try a lunch menu item in a few days, heard from a regular that the French Dip Sliders were killer. Save me a seat. read more

I've ve been coming to this place for a while now now and it's all you can ask for in a pub with TVs, a jukebox and an outdoor patio & more. It's a great spot to catch a game or just grab drinks with friends. Never been a huge fan, but after watching the bartender Kaley make a few here I had to try one and... wow. They're legit. The Spicy Mule also gets the job done. Tons of beer but on tap, which just adds to the appeal. Head to the back deck and you can kill a whole day before you even realize it. read more

It was 3 Stars back then, and its still 3 Stars. TC is located on Adams at Beach in HB. We had a couple of beers and ordered the chorizo flatbread ($10). The taps weren't working, but the bottled beer was cold: 3 Stars. However, the flatbread was like from your freezer section: More on par w/ Red Baron pizza bread vs Stouffers that is slightly better. It certainly wasn't worth $10: 2 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, its slightly better vs before. It looks a little brighter, but more or less looks the same: 3 Stars. The service is friendly, and the bartenders are nice. One off duty bartender even recognized me and asked me to walk her to her car bc a weirdo was outside: 4 Stars. All in all, a decent experience. However, I was surprised at the high ratings. They offer charcuterie that seems way out of place for a dive bar. read more
