It's part of the aquarium of the pacific just along the harbor. There's a parking lot that's part of it but the payment situations was a bit of a mess. Paying with credit card on the machine was a hit or miss. Which i also found out from someone else there. It's probably easy just to do it from your phone. It's a decent size parking lot but there's also parking at the structure just next to the aquarium. It's a cute rolling hill park that looks out to both the queen mary, shoreline village and the harbor. Depending on what side you are. It's a cute little walk around with the lighthouse on top. There's benches scattered throughout the park for seating. There's even a little beach like path along the harbor. Regardless which side you are, the view is quite beautiful. There's also fishing that you could do on the pier. You'll see people about and about walking, picnicking, walking with their dogs or a stroll. Long Beach has its hidden gems and this place was one of them.

And few fruit cart vendors for those who prefer something for the commoners. Public parking and playground are available. Metered parking is available in the lot behind the beach, or at nearby Marina Green Park. Public outdoor shower stall is available. Overall, this is a good beach to spend the day with friend and family and your lover.

I've come here a few times on weekends and it's consistently nice. Not too many people, easy parking, nice sense, and interesting views of wind surfers. Because it's less crowded, you have a lot of space between you other beach goers. The parking lot near this part of the beach is a bit small, and there is only one restaurant on the beach. There are many other eateries if you go out the pier area, just a bit further south. So if you like nice and quiet beach with not so many people, this (north end of Seal Beach) would be my recommendation!

I believe it covers around five or so blocks and is filled with restaurants, bars, eateries, ice cream shops, clothing stores, jewelry stores, etc. It has charm and seems to be in a very peaceful neighborhood. A friend and I took a stroll along Main Street last week, and it was very "cool." We stopped in at a lot of the stores, and we ate at the Hangout. Some of the places that I remembered were O'Malley's.., Hennessey's Grill, 320 Main, and the Abbey. They had a Cold Stone Creamery right on the ocean. I bought her a coat at Shara, and then we got dessert at Sweet Jill's Bakery. They also have a nice pier that extends out to see the beach. This is a very charming area with lots to do as well as hit the surf and sand. Enjoy!

Located across the street from the beach are 6 pickleball courts (1 permanent, 5 non-permanent courts) where enthusiasts gather every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8a-noon for recreational play. There are no challenge courts; all courts are open play. Simply put your paddle up and wait to be called upon. This is a great place to learn with a various levels of pickleballers. I came up with the gondola ride since I had gone on it many years ago & was so happy that they were still around. We booked it at sunset & I actually surprised my husband with a custom-made song of our 20 years together. I wanted it to be a surprise, so I called the company to let them know of my plan and Julia made sure to send the link of the song to my gondolier. We got Jack for our gondolier and let me tell you, he was perfect. He made our night very special and was very informative of the houses and history of the canal. He picked the perfect time to play the song and made the entire experience perfect. I highly recommend this for any special occasion. I definitely want to go back for the holidays to see the lights.

If you have young kids, I definitely say this is a great little beach to take your kiddos. Plenty of trash cans around and my kids gotta play with other kids. I wanted to check out Broken Spirits which is right next to the 2 hour free parking garage. Parking is by Long Beach Blvd with entrances on 3rd and 4th street. The promenade itself is a 4 block pedestrian walkway full of gorgeous murals, pleasant landscaping, and an odd QR code enabled toilet. It's interesting and fun to walk. You can get some great views of historic architecture such as the Middough Building. Sad part is on a Saturday it felt like I was in an apocalypse movie. Nobody anywhere. Was a total ghost town. Restaurant we ate at was great but totally empty. Was odd. I assume night time might be busier? I will definitely be back for Broken Spirits and curious to see what else is around.
