This park has a long sidewalk and some benches and an amazing view of the ocean and park down below. This is a very nice place to take a long walk. There was also a nice breeze, which made it very pleasant.

Spent a lovely morning with my friend strolling through Bluff Park with the doggies. Some people were walking their dogs, others just finishing their run with what looked to be a little run club. We had our coffee in one hand and the dogs in another on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too busy at the time that we were there which was nice. I will say we were approached uncomfortably by someone there. We had to pause our beautiful walk until the person walked away, so definitely keep an eye out for that. Just with any place, keep your eyes peeled always. Loved that we were able to stroll along the coastline though!

Nice place to walk down the coast without having to go down to the actual sand itself. Plenty of cement benches along the way to sit down and rest.

Bluff Park is a greenspace on the south side of Ocean Blvd between the museum on the west and 36th Place on the east, with sidewalks around the perimeter. Bluff Park is a great place to walk, jog, run, bicycle, skate, meditate, do yoga, play, sunbathe, people watch, picnic and relax. Owners of radio controlled planes sometimes fly their planes there, taking advantage of the updrafts caused by onshore winds hitting the bluff. There are some excellent views of the ocean and the bike path below from the bluff, and visitors can take some awesome pictures here. Parking can be found along Ocean Blvd, but it's limited. Parking can also be found in the neighborhood to the north, or the parking lot down below the bluffs, but you'll have to walk up.

Hello! See you on the Bluff Park path! @ojbaylen

One of my favorite spots to take a relaxing walk parallel to the beach. The cool breeze and views makes it breath-taking. You'll see people flying their small drone planes, it's dog-friendly and other people doing workouts on the grass. See you at the Bluff Park sidewalk trails. It also has several access points via stairs to go down below at the bike path/pedestrian path on the beach!

This park is the place to be at! Yoga on the bluff, park down by the beach, ride the bikes with the kids, walk, jog, run, workout... everything you need under the sun. There are even lemonade stands and a fitness instructor down here! Oh...don't forget the ice cream trucks...especially the Batman truck! Bring your water bottle, snacks, protein shake, beach gear and don't forget to pay for parking...I was lucky today...but who knows? Got so occupied with putting my kid's helmet and gears on that we rushed off without paying. But you can park for free by residential area. Just walk down the steps and make that your workout...go back up a few times...whew! Your legs will burn!

Bluff Park is a gem in Long Beach. High above the water with a great walkway and dramatic views of the Queen Mary and ports. There is a nice wide green space to hang out in and usually some flowers are in bloom on the other side of the railing at the top of the cliff. Lots of people are out walking dogs and there are plenty of trash cans along the way so no reason to litter! Ever! Please keep our earth clean.

Bluff Park is the narrow strip of land between Ocean Boulevard and the vertical cliffs (bluff) that drop down to the beach and ocean, and roughly Junipero Avenue and Loma Avenue to the north and south. It was slowly donated to the city in parcels beginning in 1919, with the final piece purchased in 1984. Today it comprises 13.2 acres in what many consider the nicest part of Long Beach, CA. The neighborhood in which it marked the western boundary is likewise called Bluff Park Heights. The housing stock between Broadway and Ocean Boulevard contains most of the most beautiful architecture in the city. The park is for passive use - walking, biking, picnicking, and even yoga classes most mornings. Plenty of leashed dogs there, too. Given the great weather, it is also a place where homeless people congregate due to the lack of public programs that address this human misery. Still, it is a terrific asset for the city and its residents to be able to use this open space for their well being.

I usually bike past this park, but used it for a workout and wow, it really has everything. I love the grass park off ocean, several sets of stairs down to the ocean, plenty of beach that it never feels crowded, both a biking and walking path, volleyball courts, and convenient restrooms that were decent by park standards. Located in a beautiful part of Long Beach, this is a fantastic place to come relax, enjoy the beach, or get a great workout in. The views here are wonderful too. Overall, it is a very well maintained area.

A hidden gem in plain sight. A little close to traffic at some parts but a great place to have picnic and have Thai Curry Pizza (see my review). Ocean view and breeze, plenty of parking and nice views of architecture of fancy residences

Bluff park is located on Ocean Avenue, and is uphill to the beach and sand. Parking is free here, and there is usually ample spots available. Though I usually park across the street, because the sidewalk lining the park is higher than usual and makes it hard for my passengers to exit. The park is narrow and long, has plenty of open green space, and benches every few hundred meters. There are stairways that lead to the beach below, which is about 30 feet lower in elevation. Night time provides a romantic spot to bring you significant other. I have come here before during dates, and it was pretty nice and uncrowded. Just no funny business, as Long Beach PD patrols often. I have not come across too many bad characters here, just chill beach goers getting away from the stress of LA county and the daily grind.

Still nice but with a major upgrade. It's part of the aquarium of the pacific just along the harbor. There's a parking lot that's part of it but the payment situations was a bit of a mess. Paying with credit card on the machine was a hit or miss. Which i also found out from someone else there. It's probably easy just to do it from your phone. It's a decent size parking lot but there's also parking at the structure just next to the aquarium. It's a cute rolling hill park that looks out to both the queen mary, shoreline village and the harbor. Depending on what side you are. It's a cute little walk around with the lighthouse on top. There's benches scattered throughout the park for seating. There's even a little beach like path along the harbor. Regardless which side you are, the view is quite beautiful. There's also fishing that you could do on the pier. You'll see people about and about walking, picnicking, walking with their dogs or a stroll. Drake Park is a space with potential, but it is in definite need of consistent care, maintenance,…read moreand stronger oversight from park staff. My family and I have visited this park on several occasions for picnics and playtime with my nephew and niece, and each visit has included experiences that could use significant improvement. The atmosphere and activity level of the park seem to vary depending on the weather and time of day. One of the first challenges visitors may encounter is the parking situation--particularly within the circular parking area near the end of the road. The issue is not necessarily the angle of the parking itself, but rather the layout, which seems to encourage inconsiderate parking habits. During busier hours, people frequently attempt to park bumper-to-bumper without regard for surrounding vehicles, making the area unnecessarily difficult to navigate. Upon settling into the park, it became immediately noticeable that the picnic tables were not being properly maintained. Many of the tables were covered in bird droppings, dried food residue, and other questionable debris. These areas clearly require daily cleaning and routine power washing in order to remain sanitary and usable for the public. The restroom conditions were even more concerning. Drake Park has two separate bathroom areas, and one of them was in extremely poor condition. The level of filth was excessive and appeared to reflect a lack of routine upkeep and sanitation. The individual stalls, floors, doors, and toilets were all noticeably unclean, making the facilities difficult to use comfortably or safely. During one visit, an unrelated woman aggressively approached my family and began yelling that my nephew and his grandmother could not use one of the restroom areas. The behavior was startling, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable, especially toward children in a public park environment. Another recurring issue at this location is the lack of supervision among some of the children using the playground areas. While my nephew and niece were attempting to play and socialize respectfully, a group of unattended children began singling out my niece with insults, sneering remarks, and inappropriate name-calling. No parents or guardians were present to correct the behavior, which ultimately required intervention from me directly. The situation was disappointing and reflected a broader lack of supervision and accountability within the park environment. Overall, Drake Park currently attracts an atmosphere that often feels chaotic and poorly managed. Public parks reflect the level of care invested into them, and when maintenance, cleanliness, and oversight are neglected, it inevitably impacts the quality of the environment and the behavior it attracts. With stronger upkeep, improved sanitation, and more visible management presence, this park could become a far more welcoming and enjoyable space for families and the surrounding community.

They allow up to six people per reservation, and they typically do not take walk-ins, so plan ahead before coming. You will find charming bridges, small waterfalls, lily pads throughout the pond, and even a little Zen garden area. It surprised me how naturally the park gave off that youthful atmosphere without trying too hard. The open spaces and colorful areas almost felt like spots made for taking pictures, and they did not cost anything to enjoy, which makes them perfect for teenagers who like hanging out and being creative. It was my first time at Whaley Park, and I did not realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around. I appreciated how easy it was to relax there without feeling rushed or crowded, even with all the teens playing games, taking photos, and talking with each other. Some parts of the park looked a little older or worn down, which is part of why I am giving it four stars instead of five, but nothing took away from the overall experience. I never doubted that the visit would turn out the way I hoped it would.
