The promenade is a gorgeous landscaped park with beautiful artistic paintings on the wall and filled with a great restaurants. It wasnt any event going on then it wasnt busy the way that it was used to be! No live music or crowded place! The near by parking was free for 2 hours! But make sure to read the signs before enter! We entered the wrong one first which it was $35! Its a great place to hangout after your dining experience! Beautifully decorated with a meaningful paintings that every piece make you think about it! Great experience! Ive never seen this place this much quiet but no matter what its busy or quiet The Promenade is one of my favorite place to hangout!

I grew up in Long Beach and moved away from these area. As a kid, who doesn't realize what the world was like except fun, music, farmer market, and being safe. Went back seeing this area again, for Thursday Night Market. 1st impression was sad, homeless, smelly urine, empty..not impressed. Not many vendors maybe because it's a Thursday? Nice music thou Food truck smell good. Free 2 hr parking on 3rd street. Many improvement with apartment retail buildings so residents have plenty of options to shop and eat. Very convenient. However, while walking, mind was thinking I will not pay 3k rent here to smell the urine, unclean, and feeling unsafe.

The Promenade in Long Beach is definitely not the same as The Promenade in Temecula (which is an actual shopping mall) lol... I didn't get to walk around as I only came specifically for Loose Leaf Boba Co. to get boba!! Located on E. 3rd Street, this Promenade has a public parking garage right next to Loose Leaf (from the back side). There are EV charging stations and the first 2 hours are free, no validation needed. I came on a Sunday late afternoon and was able to find a spot right when I got in. I didn't pay attention much to what was there but I did see Ross, The Crab Shack and Loose Leaf Boba Co. There were tables set up on the street right outside Loose Leaf with string lights hanging above them. It looked like there were more shops and restaurants right across the street. Looks like a cool place to explore and chill if you happen to find yourself in the area. It was a short visit so I can't say much about it, except that it appeared well kept, and people were being respectful and social distancing. I will be coming back another day to see what else I can get myself into (fine dining perhaps? Or maybe shoe shopping...ha!!). Grab some boba while you're here! I'll be hitting up Loose Leaf again no doubt!! 4 stars for now, until I return and see what I missed this time around.

This review is for the night market. Great food, great music, and vendors from doggie cookies to incense to clothes or accessories. There is a little bit of everything!!! They even have complimentary games to play and live entertainment

The Promenade is a great connecting point for downtown Long Beach, it's visitors and it's residents. Note: Fellow Yelpa Dino D. Has already covered this one extensively and I just wanted to chime in and say this place is great and more city planners and city council members should visit for ideas because this is now a bustling downtown area used by lots of people. Residents can simply go downstairs to a whole bunch of restaurants, bars, nightlife, or just take a walk down the promenade. Big win for LBC !

It's part of the aquarium of the pacific just along the harbor. There's a parking lot that's part of it but the payment situations was a bit of a mess. Paying with credit card on the machine was a hit or miss. Which i also found out from someone else there. It's probably easy just to do it from your phone. It's a decent size parking lot but there's also parking at the structure just next to the aquarium. It's a cute rolling hill park that looks out to both the queen mary, shoreline village and the harbor. Depending on what side you are. It's a cute little walk around with the lighthouse on top. There's benches scattered throughout the park for seating. There's even a little beach like path along the harbor. Regardless which side you are, the view is quite beautiful. There's also fishing that you could do on the pier. You'll see people about and about walking, picnicking, walking with their dogs or a stroll. Long Beach has its hidden gems and this place was one of them.

I enjoy strolling through Shoreline Park each time I come to downtown Long Beach…read more It is a peaceful spot, passed the Aquarium, unique for the area. Quieter, green grass (it'd be nice to bring a book here) away from the hustle and bustle. And the views are hard to beat, the Lighthouse, the shore with boats and Queen Mary in the near distance. Bring a snack, a drink, take a nice break here, a cool walk to explore the Shoreline Park. Always enjoyable!

And it's completely free. At the top, there's a flat, grassy path that runs along Ocean Boulevard, and it's great for walking, jogging, or pushing strollers. You'll see a steady mix of locals and visitors out here, from joggers getting in miles, families strolling, and plenty of dog walkers taking advantage of how dog-friendly the whole area is. Getting down to the beach is simple too, thanks to multiple staircases that drop from the bluff to the sand below. From there, you can connect to the roughly three mile paved pedestrian and bike path that runs along the shoreline. Parking along Ocean Boulevard is generally pretty easy to find and often free, which makes it even more convenient than most coastal spots. And if you want to make a day of it, you're within walking distance of a lot of local favorites like the Bixby Park farmers market, neighborhood juice bars, and a bunch of casual, dog-friendly restaurants. Seriously, Long Beach is a city that LOVES their pups! The park itself is also home to some nice touches of history and scenery, including historic architecture nearby and the Lone Sailor Memorial, a bronze statue overlooking the ocean that honors the U.S. Navy and Long Beach's naval roots. All in all, Bluff Park feels like one of the most beautiful parks in Long Beach. It's simple, scenic, and right on the water, with unbeatable ocean views and an atmosphere that works just as well for locals as it does for visitors.

The Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden is a beautiful spot if you are looking for a peaceful walk…read moresurrounded by Japanese foliage and well-maintained landscaping. The garden features a large pond filled with koi, including around 30 big koi and what looks like hundreds of smaller ones they are raising. It is a relaxing place to watch the fish swim by and enjoy the scenery. One of the best parts is that visiting is free, but you do need to make a reservation ahead of time. They allow up to six people per reservation, and they typically do not take walk-ins, so plan ahead before coming. The garden itself is on the smaller side, and the walking path takes about 15 minutes at a casual pace. Still, there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. You will find charming bridges, small waterfalls, lily pads throughout the pond, and even a little Zen garden area. Even though it is compact, the peaceful atmosphere and the well-kept grounds make it a great visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and want a quiet, refreshing escape.
