Injury due to security grabbing and twisting my arm
    kita s.

Hello I frequent the pepper lounge I live two blocks over I'm a homeowner and my salon is downtown St. Louis myself and my friends were at Pepper Lounge April 10 on a Sunday night sitting in VIP which we always do because the DJ always invites us up Security comes up and and ask the several people that was in VIP to leave myself and another friend stay behind and security stood there and stared at us with a disgusting look on her face s then she went over and asked the DJ to make us leave and the DJ said no they're fine they're my guest so she stood there and she got even angrier because she saw that she had bo power to get us out of VIP when she left it went down the stairs I went to the Restroom and when I returned she was standing on the top stairs as I proceeded to walk up she said you can't get back t in and I said I was just in here m you know that she said well you need a band so I said let me get the DJs attention so I can get a band from him she stepped over like no you can't come up and I said OK well let me get my friends and tell them I'm ready to go she said no again so I just stood there for a second Let me tell ya what she did she took her hand and hit me on the top of my head pushed me and while doing so she screaming leave me alone (in true white girl fashion) so as she scream stop it stop the security turns around and whisk me out the door my shoe was left behind he's shoving me with one shoe on through a crowd I had glass in my foot I was humiliated as hell then she come up front with my shoe in her hand and threw it on the ground and was like there's your shoe and started laughing as she walked off I feel like she was a racist white woman that knew she could use her job description to get that off because she know I was to high up for her to touch let me tell you something I have the money the time and the patience to fight this and bring a lawsuit to your establishment please be aware of these white women posing as security guards to do what they want to And get away with it all I am not going to let this one pass over this was one of the worst experience I've ever had and people need to know what's going on because this isn't gonna fly and she had no right to put her hand on me especially I couldn't do nothing because the security whisk me out the door not knowing what the hell was going on but I'm a tell you right now something have to be done because I have a issue with it all and she know for a fact she was wrong and she know for a fact if the playing field was even she would have no chance i had to go to urgent care because my right shoulder was bothering me because of the force the security used upon me and true enough my right rotator cuff is torn and I have to go to therapy they will see me in court for this OUTRAGE and i will also like to know the name of the security company so they continue treating people this way I feel she wanted a black man to HUMILIATE us and got extremely mad when he didn't ...I know for a fact this isn't her first time doing this and this won't be her last

It was decorated all out for the Olympics and they have several comfy couch areas which were perfect for us with our toddler who does not want to sit still... We spent a few hours here and had some appetizers and drinks. We had the pub pretzel, pickle chips, fried cheese and soup. All were out quickly and very good. The pretzel was SO good! Served with mustard and warm cheese for dipping and it's huge. Service was friendly and fast. Bathrooms are spacious and new and clean with a nice large stall for baby changing. It wasn't crowded in the middle of a day on Friday so, pleasant to watch the game with a small group. I'm sure it can get really busy and rowdy during sports events downtown. All in all, new and comfy and a place I can see us coming often.

My coworkers, who also ran, insisted on meeting up here. They didn't really run, they walked. I can't walk a 5K, because pull your head out of your ass. I could have ordered something light, but I figured I'd go in, since I won't be returning. I don't have the means or the interest to catch a soccer game at the nearby stadium, and even if I did, I heard they've got good food vendors. What do I need with this place? Depending on how much they want for beer across the street, it might make sense to pregame here, especially if they're pulling the same BS they pull at Riverport where the police roam the parking lot and try to prevent you from drinking in your car, as one does. My little brother's running group had a function here after a marathon I ran a few weeks ago. Free food and drinks. I'm not even a member of that group, but I was dressed in running attire and wearing a medal. You best believe I got my drink on. Did it aid in my recovery? No. No, it did not. I got the sense that they had busboys and randos from off the street running orders and that this place might not be fully staffed except for on game day. That was also the case yesterday evening. The guy waiting our table obviously didn't know what he was doing, but he seemed chill and ultimately got the job done. Hopefully my boss left him a tip. The menu consists of standard sports bar fare, including two sandwiches that purport to feature meat from the Carnegie Deli. I found this highly improbable, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to join the ranks of Bowzer from Sha Na Na and Arthur Fonzarelli. This may have been my one opportunity in life. You can get either a basic pastrami on rye, for purists, or people with certain dietary restrictions, or the Reuben. I of course went with the latter. I found it surprisingly neat, without too much sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and what have you, to where it gets all sloppy. The slices of meat were uniform to the point where I was concerned, but damn it if it wasn't moist and flavorful. Nullus. It's pastrami, so it's supposed to be processed anyway. It comes with your choice of fries, chips or some sort of salad. For chips, you can get Red Hot Riplets, which is nice for tourists. It'll save them from having to go to a Schnucks. We should all be lucky. I went with the fries, for the sake of citizen food journalism. Surprisingly, these were shoestring fries, not unlike at a Steak 'n Shake. You don't see that as often these days. Were they great? No. But it was still kinda neat that they had them. Really, you're just going here because it's either across the street from the soccer stadium or (I think) built into Union Station. In that sense, it's almost like they're doing you a favor by offering food that's not half bad. What else are you going to do, try to go drink in your car?

Those are some great prices. Our first bartender was Danielle and she made me an excellent Extra Dry Vodka Martini with a Twist. As I sipped my Martini, I enjoyed an order of Truffle Fries and the order was HUGE. Not knowing how big it was, my friend and I each ordered fries. We easily could have shared one and still had leftovers. My second classic cocktail was a, Old Fashioned. Being a fan of classic cocktails, I enjoy Happy Hours that offer them at reduced prices. Again, Danielle prepared a masterfully made cocktail. Danielle was very personable. My friend and I enjoyed chatting with her. Around 4 PM there was a shift change and we got me meet the next bartenders coming on duty. Sam and Kim didn't make us any drinks, but they were fun to banter with while we finished our cocktails. I thought the set up of the Social Club was cool. You've the bar in the center. Then the pizza and burger offerings each have their own kitchens. Also, beware that the restroom is not gender specific. It's one large room with separate stalls that have doors and walls that go floor to ceiling. You'll never know who's next door or what they're doing. I'll be back when the weather gets cooler to enjoy their large patio.

We showed up without a reservation, which I wouldn't necessarily recommend. We were initially told the wait would probably be around an hour and a half, so reservations are definitely a good idea. Somehow, we got super lucky and received a text that they were ready for us only about 10 or 15 minutes later. We ended up sitting at the bar, which honestly made the experience even better. If you enjoy watching bartenders work their magic, I highly recommend sitting there if you get the chance. The cocktails here are unlike anything we've had before, and it was so much fun watching all the different drinks being made and seeing the creativity that goes into each one. Our bartender, John, was amazing. He was incredibly personable, answered all of our questions, and was genuinely enjoyable to talk to throughout the evening. Between the two of us, we tried four cocktails. I started with the Linea Uno and asked John if he could make it less bitter after the woman sitting next to me mentioned that was an option. It was delicious, although I apparently didn't pay enough attention to the menu when ordering because it was tequila-based, and tequila normally isn't my first choice. The Trade Winds was one of the coolest drinks of the night, made with clarified rum, apricot, and coconut and topped with mango air. The mango air literally looked like bubbles but smelled like mango. Such a unique presentation, and the drink itself was really enjoyable. My husband tried the New York Whiskey Sour, made with clarified whiskey, yuzu, tart cherry, and black lime cordial with a red wine foam. Again, the presentation was beautiful, and it tasted just as good as it looked. My personal favorite was Ankra's Passion Fruit Martini, made with vodka, vanilla, passion fruit, lime, and bubbles. It came with a small glass of champagne on the side, which was a really nice touch. John mentioned that I could drink the champagne separately or add it to the martini as I went. I ended up pouring some into the cocktail, and for me, it balanced out the sweetness of the passion fruit perfectly. The entire speakeasy experience was just fun, from trying to find the entrance to making our way inside and finally settling in at the bar. We took plenty of pictures and videos along the way, but I'm intentionally not posting most of them because I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone visiting for the first time. I will share a picture of the red light you need to look for at The Foundry since we initially had a little trouble figuring out where to go, along with some photos of our drinks. The rest of the journey inside is something I think you should experience for yourself. Creative cocktails, beautiful presentations, a genuinely fun atmosphere, and fantastic service from John made this an easy five-star experience for us. If you're visiting The Foundry and enjoy unique cocktails and hidden speakeasies, None of the Above is absolutely worth finding. Just learn from us and make a reservation. We got very lucky!

Moody lighting, cozy corners, and an effortlessly cool vibe make it the kind of spot where time slows down in the best way. We stopped in for their Sunday late night happy hour (8-11pm) and honestly? Elite move. The energy was relaxed but still buzzy, perfect for winding down the weekend without feeling like the night is over. The cocktails are art. Every drink feels intentional, balanced, and a little unexpected in the best way. You can tell the bartenders really know their craft. Whether you go classic or adventurous, you're in very good hands -- especially during happy hour when trying a couple different options feels very justified. What really seals the deal is the overall mood. It's date-night perfect, ideal for catching up with friends, or impressing out-of-towners who think they've "seen all of St. Louis." Service is warm without being overbearing, and the experience feels elevated without a hint of pretentiousness. Don't rush. Order another round. Let Sunday stretch a little longer.
