They do not appear financially prepared or in a position to care for dogs. Animal control is familiar with this person and has no business running a so called rescue. I will not get into detail about all issues and I hesitated posting after this whole debacle. As I see more requests for volunteers to transport dogs to her, I hope this resonates as other reviews post adoption experience.

And, potential dog theft. In an effort to find out more I held the dog. Once I started asking questions such as: Could you send the dog shots? Where did the dog come from? With nobody willing to stay with him while we were away, and not enough money to board him for extended periods of time, we did what we thought was the responsible thing to do and reached out to JW to help us rehome him. After all, the paperwork we got (and the nice lady we got him from) said to bring him back if ANYTHING happens, no questions asked. Didn't matter if it was 10 months or 10 years. We were made to feel like complete trash for being in this situation. Chastised, called liars, the whole bit. After a lengthy back and forth at the beginning of August, we were told to send pictures so they can find a place for him. In the meantime, he was home alone many days with various relatives who were able to drop by and feed him and take him out. Fast forward to November...not a peep from JW. One night the dog decided he'd try to bite my daughter while she was laying on the couch, then he went after the cat. At that point, we reached back out and JW stated they could no longer help us, because the dog is now aggressive. We have tried to stick it out and worked with him through many bad days and he was showing some promise. Then I took him to the vet and he tried to bite the vet tech, and proceeded to go after me (before anybody so much as touched him). I have a feeling our time away has something to do with this, and this is exactly what we were trying to prevent to begin with. So if you think there is even a sliver of a chance that you may need to re-home a dog from JW, don't even bother. It has been a nightmare. We can't surrender him, we can't rehome him, and now we have a house full of people who may or may not be attacked by this dog at any given moment.

Honestly they are likely abandoned because the owners didn't have the bandwidth to deal with personality quirks. If you don't understand this, you aren't an experienced dog owner. We have had many rescues with various "quirks" and accept this as who they are. As long as they love us, we work with it. Most veterinarians are very understanding as long as you are honest about your dog's limitations. Our two little ones came into our lives after we lost our last larger pup. We wanted smaller dogs for handing ease. We weren't looking for two, but when we heard they were found together we were happy they might be a bonded pair. As it turns out, one is a super easy dog-people lover and the other is a terror! Nevertheless, we love them both equally and they love us back. Don't expect to get a perfect dog. They don't exist. They are like children who can surprise you no matter how perfectly you think you reared them. As for Jake's Wish, the contact I worked with was prompt, kind, efficient and understanding. We are over the moon with our two little beings.

Once we decided to adopt, the process was easy, and they had all of the vaccine information we needed. Our dog is perfectly healthy, friendly, and amazing! Plus, Elena is awesome and checked in long after our adoption to make sure our pup was adjusting and doing well. She is so thoughtful and caring, and Angel's Furry Friends is a great organization to adopt from.

She did mention that she moved out to Patterson instead of breeding in Sunnyvale. However, she was very flexible and accommodating so we FaceTime to see the puppies a week before I came to pick up Georgi. I was impressed with how clean the house was especially for housing many dogs. I was mention that the puppies come home crate trained. For the most part they are because they're so accustomed to sleeping in the crate and we didn't have any problems with her crying and such. She's potty pad trained but did have a little accidents here and there. I mean they're still babies, totally expected and understandable. Georgi is one of the best things. She's extremely cuddly and friendly. She loves everything that moves. She was a bit wild for the first few months but that's with any kids, that have energy. One of the best thing is that she's neither submissive or dominant. I've had my friends dogs try to dominate her and all she does is walk away and then she will return and attempt to play while sharing her toys. She loves loves to swim! Isn't afraid of loud noises because we took her out on July 4th to see fireworks. I'm obsessed with her and her little quirks. I was extremely impressed and I use them about six times a year to pet sit. The app that they use makes it very easy to schedule, pay and communicate.
