Let me start off with what seems to be the elephant in the Yelp room about this store, the lady who runs it. I don't mind her style because she isn't about being in your face while you shop. She gives you the freedom to look around without that feeling of being watched. This means she might not greet you as you walk into the store or asking "may I help you find something?", again I'm okay with that. Now onto the shop. It's always fun to browse clothing, I'd say it's one of my addictions to do so. I did walk away with two items that I'm overall pleased with. Her prices seem a high, but I double checked on eBay, and they were actually going rate. Led me to supporting local business. I want to go back and buy a scarf, but!!!! all the scarfs are $20, so I'm going to wait till my next pay period to purchase it. During my transaction with the lady, she was nice, no issues. Visiting from out of town. Waited and waited for the store to open at 12:30p.. most stores in the area opened around 10a & 11a. We decided to eat brunch and wait for them to open for perfect timing to check it out then get back on the road. We go in and check out the things past the window items that had intrigued us to wait. Stuff in here is overpriced product from companies like SHEIN. The old lady who said she owns the place, made me feel like I was stealing a necklace that I grabbed out of the case to look at. I put it on in front of her to look at myself in the mirror, and I carried it with me to decide whether I wanted it for sure. I then put it back where I got it from and she continued to watch me. When I looked around the register area for knickknacks, she asked me where the necklace was in a very rude way. I told her I had put it back and she said, "oh really?" I asked her if she was insinuating that I wanted to steal it, she very rudely said, "well, you don't have to shop here". ARE YOU SERIOUS LADY?!! I told her that she needed to calm her ass because there are people out there who will not put up with that attitude. read more

Walked in to ask what the consignment terms are, and the lady (owner I presume) started to explain. Her daughter butts and and introduced herself and asks "what are you trying to sell?" I showed her pictures of a Louis Vuitton clutch I own, and she quickly shut me down. "We don't take LV. It's too risky for us. Try Afterwards in Menlo Park." Yet when you visit their website, they advertise "Clothing, handbags and accessories Coach, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Bebe, Versace....and many more" Don't waste your time coming here. Very very expensive for a used clothes store. Found a SHEIN Dress there for $25 *eye roll* totally ridiculous. People were nice though

The Perfect Rose smells antique, like one of those pink-brownish roses, like the go-to perfume of an endearing old lady. The name of the store perfectly matches what you will see in this store...mostly vintage pieces or plainly old. I did not see many brand names but certainly the owner takes pride of her merchandise and all pieces are covered with a protective plastic-hanger (which makes the browsing a bit difficult). I felt like at home of a distant relative, trying to find some treasures. I found a couple of cute berets but since I just bought at a store nearby one yellow one for my collection, I decided that was a pass for now. read more

Cute consignment store with very few designer options and fewer relevant choices. Still, it is nicely arranged. I'd say the buyer is purchasing for a 50-60+ demographic mainly. I saw 1 fabulous red swing coat, but it wasn't my size. I did appreciate a few vintage items also. I ended up buying a green floral skirt that I like. The owner was perfectly nice. However, I felt rushed 5 mins before closing when I was playing with my daughter- they even had a few vintage toys. If you happen to be in the area, you might as well pop in. The senior citizen lady was rude to the point where I think she might be prejudiced/racist. I sell designer brands and mid level luxury items online for fun (I'm a biotech scientist) so I know current styles, brands, trends, etc pretty well. I brought in two IKEA bags worth of new and like new items including Kate Spade, Stuart Weizmann, Patagonia, North Face, Anthropologie etc etc all nicely folded and packaged she just glanced at the bags and said, my customers don't want this kind of stuff?! This is a cute used clothing and accessories store. I was initially drawn in because a sign said designer consignment but I quickly found out it was more of a used goods store with a variety of brands but not necessarily designer (Gucci etc). Some of the clothing looked more vintage than modern. Not my cup of tea necessarily but it's still fun to browse! There was a purse in the window that had a Chanel logo but I was fairly certain it was not authentic. read more

I think this place is adorable. It's kind of a hole in the wall boutique but non the less a cute find. The owner is an older lady who is very friendly and answered all of my questions. They have knock off designer purses that are reasonably priced and you really can't tell the difference! The store is a bit cluttered but if you really search you can find some great finds. read more

My adult daughter and I went into this shop. Although they have a great selection of purses, the owner is very unpleasant. She was rude to my daughter and I wasn't treated much better. The Perfect Rose isn't so perfect. We won't be going back. I would much rather give my business to Amelia's Antics on Broadway in Millbrae. They have a great selection of accessories, jewelry, clothes, etc. and will treat you with TLC. They are a consignment boutique. Buy or sell. It's an all around great experience. read more

Old cranky faced woman as I walked in, didn't even greet me so I thought she may just be a customer. Asked if I'd like to hang my items in back so I did. After a few minutes of zero communication, I asked if she was the owner. She said yes (ooook...) I let her know I'd never been there before and didn't know the process. She abruptly starts off by saying "I'm VERY picky" and proceeds to tell me the exchange deal. Keep in mind not a single smile during this exchange. Very off putting. We go back and she looks at my things (I had about 15 dresses) and when done simply said "NO". Ewwww. My dresses included super cute, brand new and barely used designer names like BCBG, Calvin Klein, Donna Karen, Lucky Brand, Max Studio, etc. Apparently she has terrible taste in additional to rudeness (I looked around and didn't see anything nearly as cute as my stuff).
