Seeing the different shutter styles, sizes, and widths in person was so helpful because what I *thought* I wanted actually changed once he walked me through the options. He really took his time explaining everything, which made the process much less overwhelming. I also appreciated that he gave me a few days to think it over instead of pushing for a quick decision. After comparing everything, I decided to go with Axent -- and I'm so glad I did. The pricing was fair, communication was excellent, and the delivery and installation went smoothly. The install team was fantastic. They worked efficiently, cleaned everything up, and even vacuumed before leaving -- it honestly looked like they had never even been there. Helpful tip: if you're unsure about shutter sizes or styles, ask Chris to walk you through the differences in person with the samples. It makes choosing so much easier. Amazon doesn't do water analysis and doesn't tell you if you have too much metal in water.

I also can't help but feel this was a racially driven attack. I, a white woman, had come in prior to my husband and had been greeted warmly by Eric. But my hispanic husband who came in later was not greeted at all- actually, he was cussed at! Money can't buy class but apparently Eric has neither of those since he was so worked up over $5,000. I would spend my money elsewhere. There is nothing "Ma and Pa" or "family owned" about this place. RCW is a certified Milgard dealer. Starting with the receptionist in their sales office, Geoff the sales guy, David and his brother who demo'd and installed the new windows...all were very professional and very helpful along the way. I seeked out 3 companies to bid my project. River City Windows and one other were the only ones to respond. River City's bid was the lowest quote for a model window one up from a competitor. It was a now brainer for me to decide who to go with. Once on the job, David and his team ensured everything was tarped off to capture all the debri, very methodical in their demo and installation process, and ensured everything was cleaned up to my satisfaction. A phrase David told me "we treat your property as if it was our own". Love this! Had to wait about a week for the stucco guy to come out and restucco around the windows. I spent over $10,700 on a combination of motorized and manual window shades for my home. After the initial down payment was made, communication became inconsistent. I did not receive proactive updates for approximately two to four weeks and had to reach out myself to inquire about the order status. When I did, I was told that "it hasn't been that long," despite the lack of communication. Given the significant financial investment, I expected more timely and professional updates. The installation was completed over a month ago, but the job remains unfinished. The manual shades were installed without the required lift handles, which have still not been provided. Additionally, wall damage occurred during installation due to ladders being used without protective coverings. These issues have not yet been repaired. After installation, I noticed that several shades were not properly centered, most noticeably in the kitchen. When this was raised, I was told by the installer's assistant that the primary installer had already left and that I should "see if I could live with it," with the possibility of correcting it at a later date. This response did not reflect a commitment to quality workmanship. There were also concerns regarding professionalism during the installation process, including disorganization and a lack of basic courtesy while working inside my home. During our interactions, I was informed that the business had been established by the owner's father and later passed on to him and his brother. Based on my experience, the level of service and follow-through I received does not appear consistent with what one would expect from a company built on a reputation for quality. Given the cost of the project, the incomplete work, unresolved damage, poor communication, and overall lack of professionalism, I would not recommend this business.

After spending significant money on window shades and a service contract with a stated LIFETIME product warranty and one-year labor warranty, I am left with defective products and a company that has completely ghosted me. Here's what I'm dealing with: -- The shades have NO temperature control whatsoever -- a fundamental failure for a product sold for climate comfort. -- The strings are physically coming apart, with threads unraveling -- a sign of cheap, low-quality materials that should never have been sold or installed. -- Despite multiple attempts to get service, the company has REFUSED to send a technician, honor the warranty, or even have a professional conversation about resolution. This is not a misunderstanding. The warranty terms are written clearly in the service contract. They are simply choosing not to honor it. Potential customers, please hear this: the professionalism ends the moment your check clears. After that, you are on your own with defective products and a company that will not pick up the phone. We are now taking this matter to court to enforce the contract and hold this company accountable. I am documenting everything and encouraging anyone else who has experienced the same to do the same. Don't make the mistake I made.
