If you're looking for someone with a genuine love of and connection to cats, who is very experienced with cat behavior and health issues, and who is supremely trustworthy and reliable - look no further than Drew. Before I met Drew I spent so much time on Yelp contacting other pet sitters in the area and they all seemed like they were mostly dog-oriented and just tolerated cats and would be only dropping by to make sure my cats were alive. Then I contacted Drew and I knew right away she was special - she actually adores cats and her primary concern is getting to know your cats' individual needs and quirks and providing the best comprehensive care possible while putting your mind at ease with daily checks-ins and photos. (She also owns a photography business and you can hire her for an epic pet photo session!) Drew regularly takes care of my guys, whether I'm busy for one day or away for a longer trip. Under anyone else's care, I'd worry about their individual dietary and behavioral needs - I have a picky older cat with anxiety and urinary issues, a goofy black cat with a sensitive tummy and a history of eating inedible objects and getting the occasional ear infection, and a young, spunky one-eyed cat who once had an injured leg. Not only has Drew gotten to know each of their personalities and connected with them like they're her own pets (they greet her at the door), she has expertly attended to their occasional extra needs and has on multiple occasions taken the time to talk me through my concerns about their issues. In addition to being a cat owner herself, Drew has experience working at clinics and rescues and volunteers her time at a cat sanctuary so I thoroughly trust her input and consider her a valued care companion and part of our pet family. My cats (and I) absolutely adore Drew and there's just no better feeling when you're away than total peace of mind that your fur family is receiving the best possible care. 5 stars, 10/10. I especially loved how positive Stefanie's attitude was and how you can tell she's very compassionate with dogs - it was really important to us that any training we use with our dog is structured that way. A few things that went wrong with our board and train:…read more 1. Shauna gave me the wrong Venmo handle which resulted in me sending the deposit to the wrong person. Luckily, they were decent enough to send me back the entire amount ($500) after I tracked them down and sent them a message on Facebook. 2. A one month contract turned into two months. Weekly check-ins and picture updates turned into biweekly, and then none at all. I checked in after month one to see how my dog was doing. Shauna told me she was still "working on confidence." 3. Near the end of her stay, Shauna called to let me know my dog had gotten injured (foxtail) from roaming around their fenced dog area and was at a nearby vet. Fortunately, she paid for the vet fees. I got my dog back with a fresh haircut, a cone of shame, antibiotics, and a foot wound that took a while to heal. 4. My dog was pretty much the same when I got her back. She was still having accidents in the house. She was not able to stay in a crate. At. All. It's been a couple years since training and I yet to see see her more hungry than her first days back from Shauna. New things she learned were how to lay down, sit (we were already working on this though), and how to walk on a leash (without other dogs around). She was still reactive to the same degree. 5. No follow up for the 1:1 session. I knew immediately after getting my dog back that I did not want to continue training with Shauna. It seems like the feeling was mutual as she never reached out to me to do the 1:1 session promised in the boarding package. Considering what I paid ($2300), I expected more. Two stars for transporting my dog and how she handled the foxtail fiasco. My dog was only 9 months old and needed basic training with some minor behavior modification. I did my part as an owner to exercise and train her at home for months before sending her off. I was really optimistic about her training potential in Shauna's hands, especially at a young age for an intelligent breed (poodle mix). Lesson learned. Albeit, a very expensive one.

Sadly (unbeknownst to us due to her illness) the pups were not being cared for properly... they were matted, dry skin, potty stuck to their fur... we needed same day help because these poor dogs couldn't live this way. Few times that we were not able to come to daycare for few weeks, upon return Silver would get on her knees to greet and hug Rio (her velcro dog). It is telling to see him love her so much and her so excited to see her too. Similarly Abby has been fantastic at the front desk, greeting dog parents as they come in, remembering dogs names. When there are additional charges for grooming she calls before processing payment. Their love for pets is clearly shown as Rio gets so excited few miles before we arrive and even though he is not supposed to pull he is very eager to get to see his friends and the staff.

Back in July 2022, my husband and I decided to adopt a 9-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier from the SPCA. This poor guy was malnourished, neglected, and, we assume, abused. Despite his difficult past, he remained the sweetest and most endearing pup you could ever meet. However, due to being confined to a kennel for most of his early life, he lacked impulse control, had no understanding of proper dog manners, and became easily overwhelmed by the mere act of being outside. After encountering numerous false starts with trainers who lacked confidence, insisted on weeks of teaching him his new name (which he already knew along with a few basic commands), or relied heavily on negative reinforcement, we were starting to lose hope. Fortunately, a friend recommended Coffey House. Recognizing the need for both our dog and ourselves to be properly trained, we opted for the day-train program. From the very first session, we witnessed a remarkable improvement. Of course, he wasn't perfect overnight, but after completing her day-train program, attending additional classes, and committing ourselves to, as of now, 7 months of consistent work, we finally feel confident taking him out for walks and running short errands. We can now walk past other dogs without experiencing the previous meltdowns. It's hard to put into words how much progress we've made since that initial phone call, when we had almost given up hope of ever being able to take our dog for a simple walk. Not only is Kelli exceptional with dogs, but she is also an incredible person. Our training sessions with her were truly enjoyable, and we continue to stay in touch, sharing little photos of our dog's achievements with her. I must admit, our dog absolutely adores her.
