Pampered Pet Care at its Finest!…read more I travel quite a bit for work and have always tried to have in-home care for my 15 year-old cat, PIA. The cost of having someone come to my home was very expensive and I ended up having to board her for one of the trips. Being in a one-cat household and used to having free range of the house, boarding her felt like putting her in kitty jail! While boarded she lost weight and her arthritis was much more pronounced when I brought her home. It took her a few days to be able to jump up on the bed whereas before it wasn't even an issue. I was dreading my next trip because I knew I would have to board her again...then a friend referred me to Charron from Bay Area Crate Escape. Charron is simply amazing! She came to my home for a meet and greet and had me fill out a detailed form about my pet. I was pleasantly surprised to find questions like how often would I like to be updated about my pet while away, what time my pet preferred to be fed, what daily routines should she maintain with my pet, would I like her to continue her daily visits if she didn't hear from me in case my travel was delayed. I gave her the keys to my house and, more importantly, the care of my pet with complete confidence. While I was away Charron updated me every other day (my preference) on PIA's welfare complete with a picture of my happy, well brushed cat. My cat is very picky with her food and often refuses to eat. Charron made a special trip to the store to purchase the food that my cat was eating to ensure she didn't go on a hunger strike (wow!). When my work trip was extended for an additional week at the last minute Charron quickly assured me that it was no problem and PIA was in good hands. With all the stressors of traveling, project deadlines and meetings it was great to know that my pet was well taken care of, my mail was being picked up and my plants were watered. All of this at an incredible rate (about the same as it cost me to board her!). I returned home to a stress-free pet. My mail was neatly arranged and my plants looked better than when I left. Two of the cats live inside, and the other outside, and they all have different "catanalities", food sensitivities, and temperments, which she duly took into account. Also, for my outside cat, which comes and goes from the back deck, there were several precautions she had to take to minimize the likelihood of raccoons poaching that cat's food. Furthermore, the two indoor cats were still being introduced to each other and not getting along yet, so she perfectly followed my detailed instructions for minimizing hostile interactions. Just one special touch of many: she took photos of the cats each day, and sent them via text message, with any brief notes for the day, which really helped me feel assured that they were doing well. And even though I told her not to worry about cleaning up any of the inevitable pine litter chips which would spill out of the litter boxes, she made sure to clean up any pine chips which spilled out. Charron is really dedicated to making sure your pets are happy and safe, and she is passionate about doing extraordinary pet sitting!

Little did I know that cuteness overload comes with a lot of responsibility and struggles, especially since I live alone, and have never had a pet in my life. In fact, as a kid, I was extremely scared of dogs! I knew I had to get a trainer when after the 2nd week, I started feeling overwhelmed with my puppy's energy and tantrums. Thankfully I found Diane! She has been a great mentor if I could use this word to guide me through my pup training journey. We had two formal sessions - 1st one was a 3 hour phone call where she patiently answered all my questions and gave me 100s of tools and things to buy and learn to build a "puppy training toolkit". The 2nd session was a 3 hour in person training session where she introduced training collar and other tools and showed me how to stop certain behaviors. The best thing is that Diane has been kind enough to answer stupid and repeated questions from me over text or phone at any time of the day. If I've felt overwhelmed, I've always had comfort to know that I have a personal counsellor/mentor available. Diane shared a lot of tools, tricks, and methods - most of them work great, some don't - some do, but not always - but that is just because each dog is different and each dog-parent relationship is unique. I am just glad to have all those tools and information available to tap into whenever I run into any challenge. I feel super confident in my puppy's training and the fact that I have all I need to train my puppy well, thanks to Diane! My puppy Zoya has been sleeping safe and sound in her crate from day 1, and sleeping all night from the moment I reached out to Diane. Zoya is fully potty trained, and walks on leash like a confident yet obedient queen! Diane is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviors, illnesses, eating habits, and tantrums - and I always reach out to her first, before I reach out to my vet!
