The Phhacility plays host to a series of local basketball tournaments throughout the course of the year. Depending on the tournaments, the cost of entry could sometimes discourage you from coming, but that's not about the facility that's more about the organizations partnering & running the tournaments. They have 3 courts available. The main court has stadium-style seats (almost like a movie) while the other 2 courts are split with only a spectator view on the balcony bridge, which can be tough at times to maneuver with all the high bar-style chairs. On a positive note, it does give you a different view of the game (a more personal view) that fans can appreciate. I would give 4 stars but after our last visit, many of us were taken back by the daily cover charge to watch along with the parking lot being roped off with a $10 cover charge to park. Neighboring parking lots were blocked off so people were forced to walk a bit. It definitely discourages a lot of people from bringing others to come and support. We would have been 6+ to come out and support my kid but the cost alone forced a lot of people to reconsider. If your watching the primary court... a great view... but if you have to be on the bridge and watch, not so comfortable!!! 3.5 is my take but bumping it up as it's not always on the PHHacilty when it comes to $$ charges.

Amazing facility. Very clean, kept up very nicely. Had amazing experiences while playing there. Team does a nice job running tournaments.

Center Court in Scottsdale for me is a terrific place to meet & play with people at my level. I…read moretypically do open play during week nights right after work. The crowd those nights are usually very competitive, but everyone has a fun attitude. That's the best part about pickleball... the people are happy and having fun. Everyone likes to win, but if not, did you play well? Yes? Then rack up your paddle. Let's go again! Every facility has its issues. For me, the courts should be cleaned at least weekly. Their rotating schedule of cleaning is not effective for the higher use courts (open play courts). The management has been effective in their marketing and events, but lack luster in balancing open play and reserved courts in high use hours. I like the locker room. I like the beer wall and lounge area.

After we signed up and paid for fall lessons, we were told the club could not retain a coach and lessons for my child's skill level were no longer being offered. I requested a cancellation of our membership and a refund for the lessons we paid for that are no longer available. I have reached out multiple times by email with no response, and calling the club gets me nowhere because management is never available to take the call. I submitted a cancellation form and was still billed for another month of dues this week. On top of that, the front desk staff are not equipped to help with any of this. They cannot answer basic questions or resolve problems, so every issue just sits there with no one taking responsibility for it. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience and I would not recommend this club to other families, especially if you are counting on lessons or expect any kind of responsiveness from management.

It's also a great excuse for getting drunk in public on a weeknight. WAKA does a great job of organizing and works out amazing deals with the sponsor bars. They take this ultimate childhood playground game taken to a whole new level (granted that happens when you gather a bunch of adults to a field and give them a red ball and a beer permit). I play in the AZ Fire League in Tempe. It's a good mix of competitive attitude (the league winner gets to go to Vegas!) and a whole heck of a lot of fun. However, they are pricier than other kickball organizations I have played in around Phoenix for less games each season and their end-of-season parties that don't cover as much food, beer, etc. (which those pricey dues should be covering). This is probably because WAKA is a national organization that actually employs people, and we are basically paying for their salaries by playing kickball. Their motto "Best Parties. Best Games. Best Friends." basically sums it up, but they could give you a little more bang for your buck.
