Being newly single, I found that my married friends weren't including me in their activities. I was bored and wanted things to do. I also liked the idea of meeting potential dates. Since joining, I have made so many friends, male and female. They have become my support network. I've done so many amazing things and crossed items off my Bucket List...windtunnel skydiving, kayaking, trapeze lessons, to name a few. I learned that I love playing volleyball and have since joined a competitive league. I still love playing with my A2K friends the best because they are a fun and supportive group, and we laugh so much when we're together. We love meeting new people as they join our group. We are sad to see some leave, but that's usually because they have met someone special and that's a good thing too. I haven't met the love of my life yet, but when I do, I hope he will join the club so we can share the fun adventures together. This week, many of our friends are on an Alaskan Cruise. Those of us who chose to stay behind will be having fun as well with a comedy club, Karaoke, a hike, and night golf. There's never a dull moment!

Total i paid about 21 dollars for the meal. But it was really good. The taste of the chicken was very good. Salty but still flavorful and just the right amount of charred from grilling. Paired with the salsa and beans and tortilla it hit the spot. The restaurant itself has a few tables. I could imagine this place filling up their tables quick on the weekends. It looked very clean. The cashier lady was very nice. Overall, I would come back. Sure its a bit pricey but thats anything nowadays. This place is so much better than el pollo loco which is the same concept but the chicken is immensely better, the sides much more flavorful and at about the same price. I really enjoyed the flavor of the chicken paired with the salsa and the soft tortillas. Its something I'll be craving again.

Couldn't have picked a better league to join and would recommend to anyone who's looking to meet some cool people and unwind on a week night. Also big shout out to our commissioner Brennan who has really taken the league to the next level. Therefore, it was impossible to actually bring up the issue before registration ended. 2) Your rule is the issue. Hypothetically you can have a team of 8 players (not your full 9) and then have a group of 3 added for a total of 11 as highlighted by Mr Mitchell as being the maximum cap. 11 people for a 6 v 6 is the issue. It's that simple You say this limits forfeits which is a lame excuse considering you actually have a pretty decent sub system. Having a large team is not accommodating the group of three, it's just a way to have more players in the league to make more money. Go to a game and watch. Tell me sitting on the sideline is fun. Once again. Go somewhere else. Better leagues for half the price.

Having only one year of sobriety when I…read morejoined, the facility provided me all that I needed from meeting to the fellowship in the rooms. Up until early April 2022 I had no issues. A fellow member with over 30 years of sobriety was the chairperson of the Wednesday 5:30PM Mens Happy Hour meeting. Approximately 45 minutes prior to the start of the 5:30 meeting, a lady named Governor Lynn McMinn approached this individual and informed him that his service commitment had expired and that another member of the club was to start chairing effective immediately. The man was blown away. He rarely attends meetings at VAC. Since I filled in a few times as chairperson at that meeting I was asked to attend a meeting with the Governor. Yes, you are reading that correctly. Please see Traditional 2: 2. For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority--a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern. Lynn governs the facility and does not comply with being a trusted servant. The meeting took place and I was asked if I felt that the removal of the chairperson was handled properly. I said that since he had been chairing the meeting for over 2 years that it made sense that a change was due however I felt that the manner it was held 45 minutes before the start of the meeting was not professional. I found out the reason for the quick change was that she had already notified someone else that he was to begin chairing immediately. Very poor planning by the Governor. After that, I decided to do some homework. I received a copy of the bylaws and found that various policies and procedures were not being followed. There were two chairpersons at another meeting that I attended that had been chairing for 15 and 18 years respectively. The bylaws state 6 months max. Shortly thereafter, I asked the Secretary of the Happy Hour meeting when the last as well as the next group business meeting was to take place. The Secretary Flora and Governor Lynn were side by side and said "I don't know". I informed both that the meetings souls be held quarterly per the bylaws. They were shocked that I had a copy as neither one had ever seen them. At the next Happy Hour meeting, it was announced that a quarterly business meeting would be held on June 1, 2022. A few other issues similar to what I have stated above which I questioned which Lynn and her gang hated. One day in June I walk into a meeting room intending to go to the Happy Hour meeting. Therefore, I enter the room and was informed by one of Governor Lynn's gang members that I was not welcome to attend the meeting. I said nothing and walked through to the courtyard, came back in room and took a seat. People were arriving and the room was nearly full, about 40 people. Governor Lynn stands up and says to me, you are not welcome at this meeting and further says no one in the group wants you here. I looked towards the group and they were shocked. Governor Lynn goes onto say that if I don't leave, she will call Phoenix PD. I told her, go ahead. 20 minutes later PD showed up and spoke to Lynn and the chairperson for a few minutes. Then the PD entered the room and walked to my chair. They informed me that I was trespassing and if I didn't vacate the property I would be changed with trespassing. I immediately left and have never been back. There is absolutely no anonymity at Alano so be careful what you say and who you say it to.

This local…read morefitness chain has several locations, including Desert Ridge, Scottsdale, Gilbert, and more. After parking in their complimentary lot without any issues, I checked in at the front desk. You can work out in a bunch of different ways at the Village: standard fitness equipment, classes, basketball, swimming, racquetball, and more. With that being said, they're known for tennis. While I don't know exactly how many courts they have, I'd venture to guess over 20. They're all outside... I don't understand why they don't have at least one or two inside given how hot it is in Phoenix. Which is why we decided to play at 8 p.m. When you're playing, you have the Papago mountains in the background which makes for a picturesque experience. The courts are well maintained, there are shaded seats, wet towels, and water jugs. All of this is a nice touch. You can also rent ball machines if you're practicing solo. The courts weren't busy since it was a Sunday, late, and it was during the summer, but if the weather is nice and it's a weekend, expect the courts to be packed. You can reserve a court to be safe. After working out, I showered at the facility. I was impressed here too. The showers are a good size, you have saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and an area to chill with comfortable seating. You don't have to bring toiletries because they basically have everything you would need: soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, after shave, shaving cream, combs, q-tips, etc. Talk about convenience. For all of the amenities, you are going to pay a premium. More expensive than places like Mountainside Fitness. At least in my mind, it's only work it if you go several times a week. Or if you're interested in tennis especially. You can also take lessons for an additional charge. The staff I interacted with, though limited, was pleasant.
