This was November of 2024, and I started two classes a week, I loved it so much I moved to 3 after a few months and then onto 4! I had not been to the gym in over 3 years but the women in my class and Gabby (the trainer) were so supportive and encouraging that I enjoyed going just to see them! Celebrating milestone after milestone I was up to 160 classes and was so proud of myself! Fast forward to November of 2025 and I was advised that due to aortic stenosis I needed to have open heart surgery! I was devastated to say the least! I shared this info with Gabby, she was so supportive and encouraging and advised whatever I needed she was there to support me! In February I had my surgery. My doctors advised that they could not believe how quickly I was up and walking, off pain meds and ready to go home! I advised I had been going to Blush Boot Camp for the last year, and they advised that was very instrumental in my recovery journey! What I am trying to say is that even if you are not seeing your accomplishments, they are there. I have now returned to the gym after 11 weeks in recovery and it is so good to be back with these ladies who pump each other up with support and encouragement and it is always positive environment! Gabby has been right there helping me modify and supporting my progress and for that I am thankful! If you are thinking about finding a program that accepts everyone no matter what your fitness level is then Blush Boot Camp is definitely for you and I encourage you to join us! Tara (the owner) welcomed me with open arms and honored my membership, even though I'm pretty sure she saw no profit from it. From the minute I walked in the doors, I knew this location was well managed and cared for. The office manager Caroline is easy going and the first to help with any needs. Head trainer Gabby is fantastic: perfect mix of welcoming, warm, energetic, passionate, motivating and knowledgeable. I have monthly Balance Meetings with her to review my goals and track progress one on one (included at no charge with my membership). Gabby understands women and sets realistic expectations. She celebrates the small wins, along with the big. She acknowledges set backs and knows that "life happens". She's a great motivator, knows when to give that extra push and/or help correct form, to prevent injury. Tara is right there daily, working out with us. You can usually find her hauling dirty towels out to her car or bringing clean ones in. Vacuuming between sessions and building connections with all the members. She does this alongside her 9-5 job. You can tell she is genuine and passionate about this business. Each location is very different (don't let drama deter you from this one). I urge you to come in and give it a try! Had the most unbelievable experience at the place where I get my eyelashes done: Blush Company in…read moreOlathe. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. I have been going for months without a problem. I needed to get my eyelashes filled for a photography session for my attorney promotional sites. On Saturday, my normal stylist wasn't available and so they said they had another eyelash person I could use. I was not told she was brand new and didn't know what she was doing. An hour and 20 minutes later, my eyelashes looked TERRIBLE. First off, I spent twice as long on the table and there were hardly any lashes applied, and they were put on all wrong. They weren't curling up and they had glue smack in the middle of them instead of on the base. The corners were going straight down into my eyes. My eyelashes kept sticking together when I'd blink for several hours until I finally had to remove the huge clump of glue on each side that was the problem. I informed the owner of the issue and sent her a picture of my eyes and rather than apologize or act professional in any way she called me on the phone and talked to me in her rude, condescending voice about how it was my problem for rescheduling my appointment. (I had a new client that needed me in court and had to cancel my previously scheduled appointment.) What? I've given your salon hundreds of dollars in the last year and you are going to treat me like that? I spent a few hundred dollars on my photo shoot and my eyes looked TERRiBLE. They knew the reason I wanted the appointment was that I had to get my head shots done, and they put me with someone brand new??? Why wouldn't they tell me that she is inexperienced and I should wait to go to my normal stylist? Now, I have to pay for another photo shoot. When a loyal customer has a complaint, the response should have been, "I'm so sorry, I will make this right. I can see why you are upset. Your lashes are not up to the high standards we set for ourselves.". But, NO. This woman acted so obnoxious and rude I was dumbfounded. I recorded the telephone call I had with her...I should upload it...it would blow people's mind how she talks to people. Who acts that way? Good Lord...a lot of people have asked me where I get my lashes done and I need to revoke my prior recommendation...DON'T GO TO Blush Company Salon. I have a list of several good places in Overland Park where you will be treated with dignity and respect...and your lashes will be gorgeous. Message me and I'll give you some good eyelash salons to use. Here is a close up of my eyes one hour after I went to the salon. My eye on the right looks like it has 3 lashes. The eye on the left has the lashes going every which direction but up. WHAAATTT??? They should be super thick...sooo bad. I'm including a pic to show how my eyes normally look after a fill so you can compare. Why on earth would a business owner scream and yell at someone who has a valid complaint? Why did she call me on the phone at all? She should have texted me back after she saw the picture and said, "I'm so sorry. Come on in and we will fix it." Period. She eventually texted me last night and told me to come in to "make it right". Instead, I was handed a note telling me not to come back to the salon? Why? Because I had the "audacity" to inform the owner of my dissatisfaction. I drove all the way to her salon to get handed a rude note? Seriously? Who does that? I had never once complained about anything at that salon until now and I had an absolutely terrible service. It just goes to show that there are people out there who are just nasty. Open up these 2 pics and compare and tell me if you'd be upset. Not only did I throw $46 down the drain for my fill but, $300 for my photo shoot. SMH. I will put my integrity against hers any day of the week. I'm an attorney and I was a foster mom who took in special needs and abused infants and toddlers for 8 years. I almost never leave a bad review but this is highly warranted. If you don't believe me, try complaining about your service sometime...you will see how she acts. She can't control herself. In response to my accurate review, the owner solicited, or created a bunch of 5 star reviews from accounts that were either created the same day as my review or it was their first Yelp review. These reviews were deemed to be unreliable by Yelp....for good reason. My review, however, was deemed by Yelp to be trustworthy and therefore it has not been hidden like these phony reviews.
